《Green Ham and Eggs [Angry Birds fanfic]》Chapter 16. Nothing's Changed

"Bye Red!"
Red waved goodbye to his friends who were slowly getting further and further away from him. Red leant up against his doorframe, enjoying the morning breeze.
Red turned inside and closed the door behind him, retreating back into the warmth of his home. Red moved past all his photos of him with his friends, everyone cheering and celebrating his return. Finally making him feel at home for a moment. Red couldn't help by smile at the memories, replaying the scenario in his mind all over again. Even if it was all made from lies and heartbreak, Red ignored them and enjoyed his new life. Red began to remember the day play out again, all starting back to being with Leonard. Suddenly he wished to come back to reality. Leonard wont ever come back - whatever Bomb was on about probably was just paranoia, Red thought to himself, easing his mind.
Though Red couldn't help but gaze out of his window and see the small glint of the sea water shimmering in the light. He couldn't go the day without confirming it himself. It'll be just a simple walk and he'll see nothing there and that'll be that. Red grabbed his comforting red jacket and sneaked out of his home, heading behind his home towards the sea and away from the village. Red sunk his feet into the warm sand, remembering his old walks home after every time he failed to be a kids party clown. He retraced his steps back the way he came from yesterday, remembering all the small colourful shells he walked past as he didn't have enough hands to carry them. Sometimes he did let Chuck find them where he would jump up in ecstatics, his eyes filled with stars. Or when he'd drop some shells, Bomb would kindly pick them up for him, holding some of his shells for him.

Red soon found the corner in which Bomb had appeared out of and continued his search. Red rounded the corner and to his assurance, nothing was there. There wasn't even any marks in the sand to indicate a boat - or anyone even - had been there. Red looked all over the view, maybe he wasn't where Bomb had found it, maybe this boat hadn't even hit the sand. Red questioned to himself how Bomb could have seen this boat yet be no evidence that it was ever there. Red stayed motionless for a moment, expecting someone to appear out of nowhere or for that boat to just nonchalantly sail towards Red. But a minute had past and Red only started to feel foolish
'Nothing was here so that's that, let go of it Red'
Red criticized himself, storming back towards actual land and off the lumpy sand. Red, this time, entered through the front of the village, since it was closest and most convenient. He saw so many people act so peacefully beside him, with their own families and their own friends. Red caught a group of two heading towards him, happily converting with one another. Red put on a calm smile and waved them a good day but they only past him still talking. Red just stuffed his hand in his jacket and moved on watching everyone seem so happy and peaceful. Couples holding hands and eating together, or people doing yoga together and the more Red saw everyone else seem so comfortable with their lives. He started to feel like nothing really changed. He rushed back to his home much faster now, wishing for that sweet peacefulness all to himself again where he doesn't have to think about his loneliness or Leonard at all.
Red finally reached his door, he had forgotten to close it, but no one really scared him enough to lock it. The only person that could possibly scare, he was certain would never show his face ever again. Red creaked the door open and stopped dead in his tracks, his heart stopped for a split second. A familiar green singlet, bearded chubby guy was caressing a familiar red blanket right in his home. Leonard heard the door open and turned to see the petrified Red standing in his doorway.

"You kept my blanket?"
He innocently asked, holding the silk blanket that Red had found that one night.
"What are you doing here?!"
Red asked, still frozen in place. His door still completely wide open.
"Well I came to see you, of course."
Leonard acted so nicely, like him and Red had recently just chatted to meet up or something. Someone must of noticed Red standing still in front of his door, almost shaking at this point.
"Red? Are you okay?"
A citizens voice asked, jolting Reds head backwards to see a couple faces staring right at him. He snapped out of his daze and creaked the door slightly close, putting on a fake smile, reassuring the other villagers.
"Everything's perfectly alright! Totally fine, so don't worry at all."
Red lied, shutting his door immediately, but still pressed himself against the hard wood.
"You have to leave- now."
Red instructed, sternly. Leonards eyes widen in confusion and sadness.
"I know we left off on a sorta bad note..."
"Sorta bad note?!! You stole my islands exotic eggs and basically kidnapped me!"
Red retaliated, standing his ground.
"Ok maybe a big- bad note. But please can we just talk for a bit, I can explain everything."
"Oh, like how your 'prophecy told you so' and you never 'really wanted to steal the eggs' Stop making up excuses and just finally accept in that small brain of yours that you are awful and can't get everything you want!"
Red scoffed, screaming off his head, stepping closer with anger and fearlessness, while Leonard became unsure and regretful.
"You're right, you are absolutely right, I am terrible I should of just came to you and have been completely honest."
Leonard agreed, kneeling down to avoiding towering Red, reaching for his palm and holding Reds hand in between his.
"Please, what could I do to make it up to you? I really don't want us to end like this."
Leonard begged, grasping harder on Reds hand. Red just looked down at this desperate man.
"I don't think there's anything you can do to fix what you have already done."
Red thrusted his hand back leaving Leonard just kneeling on the ground helpless.
"Please, I'm begging you Red, I'll do anything you want."
Red turned away from Leonard as he continued to plead with him.
"I-I... I love you."
Red froze again, looking at his hard wood floors.
"I know you think I might just be saying that because that dumb prophecy said we'd end up together but trust me when I say I really do love you - your sweet, and adorable when you try new things for the first time and your face lights up or when you try and act mad but end up being really flustered and every moment I got to spend with you made every bit of... living so much better."
Leonard confessed, slowly standing again as Red showed no reaction and kept his back facing Leonard.
Silence echoed through Reds home as Leonard awaited for Red to say something, anything.
"You're right, I don't believe you. Why would anyone care about me that much unless some dumb piece of paper told them so..."
Red finally turned around, showing his teary face change to a harsh red, his eyebrows pointing so far down they kept shaking along with his body.

The Ultimate Supporter
Mona stood there, her body has stopped shaking as she stared at Sarah with no expression. “... do I have to set a goal?” Mona asked quietly. “Yes, if you do not then you will not be allowed to play Road Builder.” “...why? Why do we have to set a goal?” “This game is about inspiring people to work hard towards something that they wish to achieve. Don’t you have something you wish to achieve too ma’am?” “... I… do.” “What is your goal then ma’am?” “My goal… my goal is to become the ultimate supporter.” Feelings rushed back into Mona’s eyes as she clenched both her fists hard. “I want to help others succeed. I don’t need to be the main character. I want other people to be the main character.” Mona yelled as tears began to stream down her face. “I just… I just want to feel needed again.” Mona sniffled. Sarah looked at her with a soft expression on her face. “Is ‘I want to become the ultimate supporter’ your final choice?” Sarah asked. Mona bit on her lip as tears continued to stream down her face. She slowly nodded her head. “Alright then… this goal has been registered onto your avatar. You will soon spawn into a town and began your journey.” Sarah smiled, her eyes illuminating warmth to Mona. Mona nodded her head understanding as she wiped away the tears. A blue circle appeared around her as numbers counting down from ten appeared in front of her. 10… 9… 8… “By the way ma’am.” Sarah said. 7… 6… “Yes?” 5… 4… “I am sure you will achieve that goal, and to guarantee that, I give you my blessings.” 3… “What?” 2… “Enjoy your time in Road Builder.” 1… ********* Please point out if you notice any mistakes so that I can fix it. Also, because I re-edit this a lot so the chapters are going to come out very slowly(and because the blue tables take a while to do). Any comments and reviews are welcomed and are appreciated! Thanks for reading!

Meg The Heavenly Merchant
Updates once a week.(This is a rough draft) Author's Note: This story has grown in ways I did not predict and while it still features a merchant those aspects have gotten less page time than the fighting and romance elements. I have updated the description to represent the story better) For the past fourteen years Meg has dedicated herself to walking the path of a Heavenly Dragon Knight in her favorite videogame, Tattered Realms:Chaos Age. But now the game is shutting down and everyone wants to know what she plans to do for the sequel. Meg isn't sure at first. She knows only that she yearns for the days when she could lose herself in a game without worrying about boss strategies and crushing her rivals. And when her friend suggests playing a merchant her heart is filled with the same wanderlust and inspiration that launched her gaming career in the first place. But if she isn't dominating dungeons and setting records will people still watch her play? And can she really walk away from all the fighting for a quiet life of buying and selling?

Walking to a two graves, he slowly looked at them and said-"""How long has it been?"With silence as answer he slowly turns back and walks away."""I will visit soon again mom, dad..."""" said person with dead fish eyes, walking as sun was setting, giving red and depressing feel to the scene as he was descending the graveyard.
