"Rhy Rhy what is you crying for?" Ja'Seem groaned picking her up from her crib.
It was currently the weekend and Reagan and Jamari was out of town with Alexis and Khalil. They wanted to go to Miami because they wanted to have some fun without the kids.
"Bo Bo can I sleep with you?" Roslyn asked rubbing her eyes holding her pillow and blanket.
"What's wrong?" Ja'Seem furrowed his eyebrows getting a sippie cup with milk from Rhylyn's mini refrigerator in her room.
"Ra'Seem said somebody was gone get me." Roslyn mumbled looking down at her feet.
Ja'Seem smacked his lips and shook his head. "That nigga lied to you dooda. You can sleep in my bed though I'll be there in a minute."
Roslyn nodded her head and walked down the hall to her big brother's room. She often felt left out or unoticed, it's like everybody had their favorite sibling but then it was her, she felt like nobody payed attention to her.
After Ja'Seem got Rhylyn to quiet down from her cries, he decided to just bring her into his room for the rest of the night. He made sure he had her bottle and her binkie.
He went to check on Ramari and saw that he wasn't in his room. He went to the room that was connected and saw Ra'Seem sleeping peacefully with his leg hanging off the bed.
Next he went to Raelyn's room. He opened the door and saw Ramari sleeping snuggled up to Raelyn while they both snored.
Now back in his room, he closed his door and laid Rhylyn down in the middle of him and Roslyn. He sighed because now it would take him a while to go back to sleep.
"Bo?" Roslyn whispered seeing that he was awake.
"Hm?"
"Do you love me?" Roslyn asked making Ja'Seem snap his neck in her direction.
"Yes I love you Roslyn, why you ask that?" He frowned now turning her way.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. It feels like nobody pays attention to me. And y'all always call me annoying or irritating."
Ja'Seem sighed and shook his head. "Dooda that don't mean we don't love you. I'm sorry if I ever made you feel that way. Yea yo ass will talk somebody head off, but that just means you're a talker. Don't change for nobody not even us. The little ones sometimes need more attention because they're dependent. You my dooda, I gave you that nickname. You understand me?"
"Yea I understand." She nodded.
"You the best nine year old girl I ever met. You independent and on top of yo gymnastics shit. You keep yo li grades up and you always helping out around the house. What's our family motto?" Ja'Seem asked.
"Family over everything." Roslyn replied.
"Family over everything." Ja'Seem nodded.
"I love you dooda." Ja'Seem stated wiping the tear from under her eye.

"I love you to Bo Bo." Roslyn sniffled feeling her eyes get weaker.
Ja'Seem watched as both of his youngest sisters slept and sighed. He needed to tell his parents about the conversation that him and Roslyn just had, just in case it turned into something bigger.
—
"I'm not gone tell y'all nomo to stop talking bru real shit." Ja'Seem mugged looking at his younger brothers jank each other.
Ja'Seem decided to take him and all of his siblings to Dave N Busters. He was on the way to pick up Kiari, and Alexi and Xamora would meet them there.
He had to take his dad's Suburban Truck so that all of the kids could fit comfortably and legally. The last thing he needed was to be pulled over while driving black.
"Bo Bo guess what. How about this boy in my class gone ask if I wanna be his girlfriend." Raelyn stated.
"Whatchu say?" Ja'Seem immediately asked looking to the right of him.
"Ew I said no, they not finna waste my time." Raelyn chuckled.
"Mhm keep it that way." Ja'Seem mumbled.
"Text Kiari and tell her we outside." He told Raelyn.
Raelyn sent the text and then climbed to the middle row to sit with Ramari and Rhylyn. Ra'Seem and Roslyn sat on the third row since they were older.
A couple minutes later Kiari came to the car making all of the kids happy. They loved Kiari like she was their big sister.
"Hey my babies." Kiari smiled turning looking at all of the kids.
"Wassup baby." Ramari smirked trying to wink at Kiari.
"Hey Ki." Raelyn smiled.
"Hey Kiari." Roslyn waved.
"Waddup Ki." Ra'Seem grinned.
Rhylyn was having her afternoon nap so she wasn't able to babble back.
After Ja'Seem made sure everyone was buckled up he pulled off and blasted the air conditioner since it was hot outside.
"Are you still mad?" Kiari mumbled.
"Nah you straight, I'm cool off that." Ja'Seem shrugged stooping at the red light.
"Ja'Seem don't do that. I wasn't even aware that somebody had my phone. I told you that I was sleep. They never give me privacy." Kiari sighed.
"Alright Kiari." Ja'Seem mumbled.
A couple of nights ago somebody in the group home got a hold to Kiari's phone and sent Ja'Seem a text message going something like, "Sorry homie she busy."
"If you was gone act like this, you could've left me where I was." Kiari said lowly looking out her window.
"Shit I got pee." Ramari frowned squirming around in his seat.
"Stop cussing Mari." Raelyn mugged.
"Hold it, we almost there." Ja'Seem said looking back at Ramari.
"Nigga let me pee outside, I got pee." Ramari said about to cry. He knew if he peed on hiself he wouldn't hear the end of it from his siblings and he would be in trouble by his parents.
Sighing and pulling on the side of the road, Ja'Seem opened the door for Ramari so that he could pee. Ramari ignored Ja'Seem earlier when he told all of the kids to pee before they left.

After Kiari gave the two some hand sanitizer, Ja'Seem and Ramari got back in the car and headed to Dave N Busters.

"Y'all better look out for each other. One fight all fight. Act like you got home training or everybody eating sandwiches for dinner. Each one of y'all got enough tokens to last for the night. Don't talk to strangers and stay together. Family over everything." Ja'Seem stated giving his siblings and cousins the run down. It was the same talk that their parents gave them whenever they went someplace together.
"Mari you better listen to them, or you coming back in the car." Ja'Seem stated grabbing Ramari by his shirt.
Truth be told Ramari was already planning to wreck some shit. He was thinking of ways to get himself in trouble, simply because he felt like it.
"Aight nigga." Ramari replied mugging all of the kids.
"You want me to keep her or you got it?" Ja'Seem asked Raelyn who held Rhylyn.
"Noo I wanna keep her, we gone go to the baby section." Raelyn grinned adjusting Rhylyn on her hip.
"Aight don't let nothing happen to my baby." Ja'Seem replied.
"Noonie you and yo li friend better not sneak off nowhere, don't try me." Ja'Seem stated.
"We not." Arielle chuckled waving Ja'Seem off.
"Now get out my face." Ja'Seem stated waving all of the kids off.
All of the kids ran off including Arielle and her friend. She was a big kid at heart, and right now she was on cloud nine.
"C'mere." Ja'Seem told Kiari. They both walked back to the car and sat in silence.
"Stop being mad at me. I told you I didn't know." Kiari sighed.
"I know Ki. I'm not mad. I'm just trying to process all of this. I'm trying to figure out what we doing." He replied.
Kiari nodded and fiddled with her fingers. Honestly she didn't know what they were doing either. They had a great bond as best friends and neither one of them wanted to ruin that. However ever since they kissed both of them had been feeling different.
"I like our relationship as best friends, but lately I been feeling more than that. It's like I can't keep you out my mind. I always wanna be near you. And yo lips soft as hell I don't want nobody else to have em." Ja'Seem finally said.
Kiari chuckled and blushed. "I love our relationship as friends also, and I feel the same way. Lately all I wanna do is be under you or just be in your presence. That's why when you were mad at me I was so miserable because I couldn't handle that. I just don't wanna mess up a great and stable bond if we're not ready for the next step."
"I understand." Ja'Seem sighed mind racing with thoughts.
Kiari felt bold and climbed into his lap facing towards him. Ja'Seem groaned when she kept shifting trying to get comfortable. He placed his hands on her hips and held her still in place.
"Can I get a kiss?" Kiari asked with a grin.
Ja'Seem chuckled and brought her face down to his wrapping his hand around her neck carefully. As their lips connected and started moving in sync, Ja'Seem let his seat all the way back so that he was now laying back while Kiari straddled him.
Ja'Seem and Kiari wrestled with their tongues causing Kiari to let out small moans. Ja'Seem was very dominant so he knew that he had the upper hand when he started grinding Kiari onto him. This was the most heated kiss that they had ever had, even though they only kissed three times before this moment.
Ja'Seem felt himself growing under Kiari, and as bad as he didn't want to stop he knew Kiari wasn't ready for sex. He wouldn't pressure her into doing anything like that. He was satisfied with the kissing.
"Stop pouting." Ja'Seem chuckled pecking Kiari's lips that were pouted.
"You're meannnn." Kiari whined.
"Chill, you not ready." Ja'Seem replied rubbing circles on her back.
"Blah Blah Blah." Kiari blushed leaning her head down on Ja'Seem chest.

8 149The Unified States of Mana
My name is Kyra Baker, I’m 20 years old and a university student, and recently I’ve been offered a scholarship to a definitely-not-shady magical academy. A ‘support device’ I was given shows me a list of classes I can take, all involving mana, magic, and Skills with a capital S. To get there I was lumped into a ship full of strange and alien creatures, jumping between worlds as we pick up more and more hapless ‘students’. Things were starting to make a little sense, until the ship crashed into an alien world. Now, I might be getting trained as a rebel soldier, or something? Looking on the bright side, I haven’t gotten this much exercise in a long time and there are plenty of cute girls around. When I develop some Skills and work on my classes, maybe I’ll become strong enough to actually have the time to flirt with them. ~ One of the few surviving records thought to be written by the Empress before her rise to power.
