Jamari Taylor
Age : 22
Houston , Texas
"Seem who calling me?" I asked pulling from my blunt.
"Granny" He said bringing me my phone.
I clicked answer and put the phone on speaker.
"Hey ma"
"Jamari you better come get this little girl before I hurt her" My mom's voice boomed through the phone.
"Who" I asked.
"Nyla, she tried to sneak out the house with these fast ass girls"
My face instantly turned into a mug. Nyla know better than trying to sneak out. She always trying to follow the damn crowd instead of being herself.
"I'm on the way" I said quickly hanging up the phone.
I was mad as hell cause that just blew my high.
"Seem put on some shoes and a jacket" I said walking back into the house.
"Where we bout to go?" He asked.
"To your granny house , now hurry up" I sighed.
He quickly put on his yeezy slides and a random Nike jacket and followed me into the garage.
Once he hopped in the front seat I zoomed down the driveway and onto the street.
"Put yo seatbelt on nigga" I said glancing at him.
"Yeen got yours on" He mumbled.
"You not me, I ain't you" I shrugged.
He put his seatbelt on then reached across to put mines on.
"I swear your auntie finna piss me off" I said making a turn at the light.
"What she do?" He frowned.
"Trying to be sneaky" I replied.
"Mhm with them little nappy headed boys, I gotta have a talk with her" He shook his head.
"Yo ass some else" I chuckled.
I pulled up into my mom's driveway and parked the car.
We got out and went up the three steps. I had my own key so I unlocked the door myself.
"MAMA" I yelled.
"NIGGA STOP YELLING IN MY HOUSE" She yelled back.
"GRANNYYY" Seem yelled running to the kitchen.
I walked behind him to see my mama stirring something in a pot. "How he get to yell, but I can't?"
"You not me, I ain't you" Ja'Seem smirked.
"I'll beat yo ass" I jumped at him.
He fake flinched and bucked back at me.
"Mari you better go talk to her before I send her to her daddy." My mama sighed.
"Hell nawl, send her with me she ain't going with that nigga" I frowned.
Nyla's dad had a whole nother family with this white woman. He wanted Nyla to come live with him but Nyla and my mama refused too.

"She in her room."
I nodded my head and made my way upstairs to Nyla's room.
I ain't even bother to knock.
I walked straight in and my sister looked like she seen a ghost.
"Naww don't look scared now" I mugged her.
"Mari I-You what?" I asked cutting her off.
She didn't say nothing she just started playing with her fingers while looking down.
"WHAT THE FUCK YOU DOING SNEAKING OUT THE HOUSE NYLA?" I yelled.
I guess it startled her because she flinched at my voice.
"I-I wanted to go to a party" She mumbled.
I was about to yell again but I had to calm myself down.
"With who?" I asked.
"My friends" She replied.
"Why the fuck you sneaking out though? What the fuck you being sneaky for? Why you just ain't ask?" I asked.
"B-Because I knew mama would've said no when she found out who I was going with" She said sniffling.
"What friends you talking bout? Cause it better not be them fast ass girls: Nesha and Javia" I said.
She wiped her eyes and stayed silent.
My blood instantly started boiling. This couldn't be my sister in front of me.
"So you finna go hang with them bucked out ass girl who pop they fucking pussy for money" I said raising my voice again.
"IS YOU FUCKING DUMB OR RETARDED?" I asked.
"Stop yelling at me" She said crying.
"Imma ask you this one question and you better think about your answer before you say it." I said.
"Are you a virgin?" I asked.
"Yes" She immediately answered.
"You lying?" I asked trying to read her body language.
I could tell when Nyla lied because she would start shaking her leg and scratching her ear.
"No I swear Mari, I'm a virgin" She said.
"So why the fuck you hanging around these girls Nyla? You too pretty for that shit, I told you so many times that you got too much going for yourself then to be following them. Those girls not your friends, if they was they wouldn't have you sneaking out like this. You know better then this Nyla."
"Anything you ask for I give it to you without hesitation. Right or Wrong?"
"Right" She sniffled.
"And what do I ask for in return?" I asked her.
"To keep my grades up and to not let anybody take me off track." She whispered lowly.

"And what else?" I asked.
"To be honest and to not keep secrets" She said wiping her tears.
"How your grades?"
"All A's" She mumbled.
"So you broke all of the rules except one" I snapped.
"I-I'm sorry Mari" She sobbed.
"Fuck that you finna go live with your dad" I lied. I only said that because I knew that she would get her act together.
"No, No mari please don't make me go, I swear I'll stop being friends with them, I-I'll stay focused, I-I won't keep anymore secrets please don't make me go." She cried loudly.
"Next time you even think about doing some shit like this imma beat yo ass myself. I'm so mad at you right now Nyla. I fucking go beyond and back for you and Seem. What if something would've happened to you at that party. Somebody could've drugged and raped you. Guess what we wouldn't have known cause you trying to be sneaky." I said with my voice cracking.
"If something was to happened to you Nyla, I would fucking hate myself bro, I supposed to protect you but I can't when you tryna follow the crowd" I said wiping my own tears.
"I-I'm sorry" She sniffled.
"C'mere" I replied.
She walked to me and stood in front of me.
"I love you Nyla, cut them bitches off and get back right" I said.
"I love you too and I will" She said hugging me.
I hugged her back and wiped my face some more.
I have a soft ass spot for both of my sisters Nyla and Alexis. Even though Alexis is older then me, I just feel like it's my job to protect them plus my mama. Seem ass think he big enough to be they bodyguard but everybody just take his ass for a joke.
"Pack a couple bags you staying with me for the next two months. Don't ask me for shit, you on lockdown, sneak out my shit if you want to imma slap yo big head ass" I said seriously.
"Okay" She sighed.
"Oh and I'm telling Alexis" I said.
"NO PLEASE , I'LL DO ANYTHING"
Nyla was scared because Alexis said that the next time Nyla got caught hanging with those girls she was gone beat her ass. Alexis don't play about Nyla at all.
I ignored her and went back downstairs to see Ja'Seem and my mama arguing over the last bag of hot cheetos.
"She staying for two months" I spoke making my presence known.
"Ou I'm finna take me a vacation" My momma grinned.
I shook my head and texted Omari back.
"Da, can we stop by the store?" Ja'Seem asked.
"No" I shrugged.
He smacked his lips and mumbled under his breath.
"Say it with yo chest" I said about walk towards him.
"Nothing da" He mumbled walking away.
"His little bad ass" Mama chuckled.
"I'm ready" Nyla announced.
"Don't you got some to say to mama?" I frowned.
"I'm sorry for trying to sneak out, I'm going to change my ways and stop being sneaky" She said.
"Mhm don't do it again, I love you"
"I love you to mama" Nyla replied.
"Ja'Seem bring yo ass" I yelled.
"Aight mama, love you" I said kissing her cheek.
"I love you too son"
"Bye granny" Ja'Seem waved.
"Boy come give me a damn kiss" Mama mugged him.
Ja'Seem whined and walked back over to her.
I quickly took out my phone and took a picture of him giving her a kiss on the cheek.
I didn't even know my flash was on until Ja'Seem mugged me.
"Da , delete that" He groaned.
"Nope, I'm showing all yo friends" I smirked.
"You so lameeeeee bro" He mugged stomping out the house.
I chuckled and followed him and Nyla. I locked the door and got back into the car.
"You still telling Lexis?" Nyla asked me.
"Yup" I nodded.
"Mcht"

Beast
A threat to the galaxy has come from another, and the Union of intelligent life will go to any length to stop it. Military Quarantine has held for hundreds of thousands of cycles. Traders, merchants, colonists, and Pirates live risky lives along the fringes as the politics from the inner systems fail to see the larger threats beyond their borders. A lone human finds himself far from home with no memories to how he arrived. A failing Trade vessel plays on a desperate gamble, while a malicious parasite searches for a suitable host. ............................................. Author's note: Beast is a story that I wrote a long, long time ago. Some of you might have read it then, back when it was posted on reddit over at r/HFY. It was my first webfiction and made in the spirit of that subreddit's "genre" of humanity being awesome. But, it is also a story that has bothered me a little bit. Just like most new writers tend to do, I made mistakes and errors that feel painful to reread. A Space Opera will be a Space Opera, but I had prose that makes present-me cringe. Still, at the same time, the story is still very much a tale I've never given up on. It was my first adventure into fiction: Beast was a crazy adventure with bodysnatching aliens, galactic war, threats from across the universe... Posting this story here is a way to try and redeem myself a bit. I won't call it a complete rewrite, because it's not, but I have wanted to go through and correct some of the major issues Beast has for a long time and put it somewhere more accessible to read (instead of as posts/comments on reddit) and I figure that now is as good a time as any. Additional corrections you might notice are welcome.

Chains of Dominion
If Jake wins the local Fantasy Tactics Online tournament, he’ll have everything he’s ever dreamed of — a ticket out of town and the attention of a beautiful woman. However, this woman has more planned for him than a bus ride to the local metropolis. She teleports him back to her Realm and declares him her Master… and says it’s up to him to save the world. No pressure. Rival Dominions vie for power, and they are all far larger and more organized than Jake’s rag-tag group of women, but he has two advantages: the rules of this world are eerily similar to those of Fantasy Tactics Online, and his wildest dirtiest sexual fantasies act as a power multiplier for his all-female army. Warning: The heroes have intense tactical battles, wild kinky sex, and near-constant flirtation. The villains are disturbing and cruel. If the idea of villains doing bad things bothers you, please do not read books ever, but especially don’t read this one.

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.
