I place my hand over the pistol and take a deep breath. I close my eyes and pick it up. I open my eyes and walk toward the door. I slowly open it and walk silently down the hallway.
"Be careful now, they might catch on. You put her in the hospital. She's getting scared again. What are they going to do you if they figure it out? How are you going to get rid of her once she's dead? Just lock her in the freezer and leave town. Leave and don't come back. Leave her for dead. She's dying anyways." My father says in his room.
I shake my head and walk down the stairs carefully. I crouch down and place the gun by the heater. I take a deep breath before standing up and walking back to my bedroom. I close my door as well as the drawer that the pistol was in. I open my closet and start packing everything into my old cheer bags and suitcases. I put them all into the hidden compartments of the closet and close everything up. I grab my big bag of skittles and eat a handful or two.
I have twenty more days until my birthday. Twenty more days until I get out of here. I just have to manage twenty more days without getting killed. Twenty isn't much. I might actually survive this.
I grab the phone from the top drawer and check for messages. Nothing at all. Not even Bella asking if I've heard from Edward. I put the phone back and eat another handful of skittles. I close the bag of skittles and set them on the nightstand before taking my hair down. I get up and look in the mirror. I brush my hair then wash my face. I look back in the mirror and shake my head slightly. I brush my teeth and take out my contacts before leaving the bathroom. I lay down on my bed and pull the blankets up over my body. I close my eyes and drift off into a deep sleep.

Twenty days left.

I braid my hair and grab my bag before going out to meet Eric. The van pulls in and the back door slides open.
"Hey little girl, do you like free candy?" Jess jokes.
"Mmmm, free candy from random people in a creepy van. My favorite." I retort climbing in. "Where's Mike?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"Home, because he's still upset about what happened with Bella and that one kid." Christina replies.
"He's mainly just upset because Bella won't go out with him." Eric states.
"He's not her type." Jess comments.
"And she's still completely hung over Edward." I add.
"Ooh, speaking of, you never told us how those two weeks at the Cullen's went." Christina smiles.
"Nothing really happened, I mean went hiking once but that was about it." I shrug.
"Did you sleep in his room?" Jess asks.
"I already answered that Jessica." I reply.
"I wanna know, and so does Christina, so say it so we can hear." Eric says
"Yes I slept in his room, in his bed, no we did not have sex." I state. "Are you happy now?"
"I wanted detail but that'll do." Eric fakes a sigh.
"That was disappointing." Christina sighs.
"Very disappointing." Jess adds.
"Oh shut up, you have your own lives to endulge in." I scoff.

I put the dishes away and finish cleaning the kitchen. I hear his footsteps on the stairs, heavy and slow. He's drunk. I move to the dining room and begin cleaning in there.
"Allison, make yourself useful and pour your father a glass of wine." He slurs before sitting down at the couch. I pour wine into a small glass and take it to him. He swirls it in the cup before taking a drink. "Now get back to work sweetheart." I go back and work on the dining room. "Bring me the damn bottle of wine whore!" I flinch slightly but do as I'm told before going back to finish cleaning.

Two more days. Just two more.
I place the vase in the center of the table. I straighten the pictures on the wall then start to clean the living room. My father no where to be seen. I fix the pillows and straighten everything neatly. I fix the blanket on the back of his recliner and close my eyes for a second. I take a deep breath then open them.
Just two more days, that's all.
Dad staggers back to his recliner and I let out a breath that I had no idea I was holding. I begin sweeping the floors in the dining room and kitchen. I glance back in the living room to find him drinking the wine I had taken to him. I nod to myself before going and starting to clean the hallway.
"Allison, sweetheart, I think it's time you visit your mother."
