You're all absolutely amazing!

The rest of our time at Slab City was pretty eventful. We decided it would be a good idea to go to the show that the man had told us about earlier, and we didn't regret doing so in the slightest. Much to our disappointment no one made a fool of themselves on stage, not even Tareq who had a bunch of hilarious jokes up his sleeve.

We'd all been drinking for a little while by this point, and Jimmy was a little upset that there was no karaoke in which he could "blow away the folks of slab city" with, to which I agreed. Either way, I'd heard Jimmy's singing before, and he'd heard mine, and we both decided that if we ever went to a karaoke bar, neither of us would want to hurt other people by taking the stage. It was nice to know that as soon as Jimmy and I had some alcohol in our system, this agreement was completely forgotten.

After the party, we all returned to our little camp and started up the fire again. Tareq got the camera going and filmed us all just talking shit with each other for the rest of the evening. At one point the topic of aliens came up, and Tareq and Garrett got so in depth about it that the rest of us almost fell asleep, whilst they were spiraling into government conspiracies and other such things that would make it hard for them to be able to sleep tonight.

"And that's why you've always got to keep an eye out for Chupacabra." Garrett said, pointing at Tareq, his eyelids drooping with tiredness.

"Ughh come on you guys, I'm feeling real sick and I need a big spoon." Chris told the two who were just about to get into a discussion about the next Cryptid.

Jimmy and I were both listening to all of their stories, remembering reading a few of them on creepypasta years before hand. Chandler however was already asleep, which was probably for the best as he was rooming with us tonight, and he'd made his fears about these sorts of things known to us on numerous occasions before.

"We'll continue this later." Tareq told Garrett, giving him a sarcastically seductive wink as Chris clapped him round the back of the head.

"Oh hell no you won't." He laughed, "Goodnight guys, we'd help you with Chandler, but he gets mean when you wake him up." He added as he made his way towards the tent.

"Night guys!" Tareq and Garrett chirped as they followed Chris into the darkness.

I turned to face Jimmy, and didn't realize until I did so, just how tired I was. He must have felt the same, because even though he was already looking at me, his eyes widened as if he was trying to get moisture back into them. "Sleepy time?" He asked, putting on a cute voice.

"Yeah, sleepy time, you big baby." Chandler joked, his voice croaky as he spoke.

"Never too tired to miss out on making a joke, are you?" I laughed, sitting upright in my chair and trying to get feeling back in my legs.

Chandler shook his head, his eyes beginning to close again.

"Oh no you don't." Jimmy groaned, pulling himself out of his chair. He walked over to Chandler and took both of his hands, ready to help him stand up.

Chandler however took this as an opportunity to make yet another joke. He grasped both of Jimmy's hands and pulled himself up, before wrapping both his arms and his legs around him, almost toppling the both of them over.

I laughed loudly, earning a "Shut up." from Chris within his tent.

"Carry me, Jimmy." Chandler whispered in his ear, as he struggled to carry him.

"I can sleep out here if you guys want your space." I told them, earning a wink from Chandler.

"Yeah that would be great thanks, Y/N. We'll lend you a blanket." He responded, nuzzling his face into Jimmy's neck just before he was dropped to the ground, only just getting his feet underneath him before his ass hit the floor.

"Sorry Chandler, we agreed you get me Monday's and Thursday's and Y/N gets me every day in between." Jimmy laughed, to which Chandler just poked out his tongue.

"Nah it's okay, Jimmy, we can trade if that's what you want?" I joked, joining them both in walking towards the tent as Chandler snaked his arm around Jimmy's waist.

"How about Y/N spoons you, and you spoon me?" He asked gesturing towards the blankets laid on the floor of the tent, "That way there'll be no funny business." He winked again, this time at Jimmy, before he used his arm as leverage and pushed him into the mound of pillows and blankets.

We both began to laugh before Jimmy pulled us both to the ground and wrapped his arms around both of our shoulders, "You're so lucky you're my best friend, Chandler, otherwise you'd be sleeping outside and there would be funny business." This shut both Chandler and I up immediately, the heat rose to my cheeks immediately and I buried my face in Jimmy's side.

"Hey, I can always go and join the other guys." Chandler suggested, knowing full well that he was making my face go even redder, even though it was hidden.

"Alright, that's it, you're going in the corner." Jimmy said, pushing Chandler, who then rolled away in a dramatic fashion.

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner." He laughed, pulling a blanket over himself. "Goodnight, lovebirds." He giggled, nestling his head into his pillow.

I took this opportunity to remove my head from Jimmy's side, and before I could, he kissed my forehead and rolled so that we were facing each other. "You're so pretty." He whispered, kissing my nose this time.

I could feel myself blushing yet again, "You're so pretty too." I giggled, lightly touching my lips to his.

"I'm the prettiest though." Chandler whispered, before bursting into laughter. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm going to sleep now."

Jimmy simultaneously laughed and sighed, before he leaned his forehead against mine, kissing me one last time, before he pulled a blanket over the both of us. "Goodnight, Y/N." He said, pulling me in closer to him as he closed his eyes.

"Goodnight, Jimmy." I said, leaning into him. "And goodnight, Chandler." I laughed, before closing my own eyes.

We must've been asleep for about four hours before we were woken up. It wasn't quite light, but it wasn't super dark, however the light shining in our eyes made me think the sun was colliding with the earth momentarily. I looked at Jimmy and he looked as though he was being blinded. After the realization hit me that someone was in our tent shining a torch, I almost had a panic attack, and was quite relieved when Chris started talking.

"I am not feeling too good, I'm feeling really sick, I think I need to go to the doctor's or something." He said, removing the light of the torch from our eyes as Jimmy struggled to block it. "You guys look cute spooning together though." He added.

It took me a couple seconds to sit up and follow his line of sight for me to realize that he wasn't talking to me. "I agree." I said as I took in Chandler and Jimmy laying crotch to ass with each other.

Jimmy wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled himself closer to me, to which Chandler put on a sad expression.

"But seriously though." Chris continued, "I'm feeling really bad, I think I might have a fever." He sniffed.

Jimmy launched into action right away. He stood up almost immediately and put his arm over Chris's shoulders, leading him out of the tent. It took me a minute to fully wake myself up, before I stood up myself to go and join them.

Tareq was already packing things back into the truck, and Garrett was half in the middle of taking down the tent. Jimmy and Chris were sat on the chairs that were still surrounding the now fully out fire. Jimmy had the back of his hand pressed against Chris's head, and a serious look on his face. I couldn't help but think, yet again, of how kind and caring Jimmy was to not only his friends, but everyone around him.

"Do you want some water, Chris?" I asked him, to which he nodded with a small smile. I went back to our tent to retrieve one from the stash Chandler had stolen due to his need for "night drinks", and in the process ended up having to wake him up again. "Come on, Chandler." I said, pushing him back and forth in an attempt to get him to open his eyes.

He shot upright, going straight into attack mode, and hitting his head on the fabric of the tent, "You're such a fucking asshole, Jimmy." He said, his eyes still closed.

I laughed, indicating to him that I was not a man, to which his eyes opened in shock. "Shit, I'm sorry." He rubbed his face hard, removing any trace that he was half asleep, before looking at me, "What's going on?" He asked.

"Chris is dying or something, we gotta go." I told him, "And just for the record, you're a fucking asshole too." I laughed chucking a pillow at him.

When I left the tent, Tareq had started up the camera, and Garrett was making his way over to the tent Chandler was occupying in order to start taking it down. Chris and Jimmy were stood by the car, and Chris graciously accepted the water when I handed it to him.

Chris explained to me about his kidney stones, barely even laughing when Chandler struggled to get out of the tent that just collapsed on him. It was hard to see him like this, and hard to see Jimmy so worried.

It was a relief when everything was packed up and we were on our way to see a Doctor, Chris spent the whole ride in the backseat with his head rested on his knees, trying to stop himself from feeling so sick.

"So apparently, Chandler, the only thing dangerous about Slab City, is Chris's kidney stones." Jimmy said into the camera, looking extremely disheveled and tired, but also extremely cute at the same time.

We sat waiting for Chris for quite some time, and were relieved to find out that all he needed was some pills to tide him over before he could get to a Doctor back home. We were still going to be able to make our flight, and Chris would feel a lot more comfortable in his home town than he would somewhere completely unfamiliar.

Chris apologized profusely to everyone for "ruining" the trip, to which all of us disagreed and told him that he didn't ruin anything, and that we all managed to take a quick nap whilst we were waiting for him anyway. His fever seemed to calm down about half an hour after taking the pills, and by that time, we'd all been able to get food, return our cars to the rental place, and find seats in the airport to wait for our flight.

"Well, that was eventful." Garrett said as all settled into our chairs listening to the hustle and bustle of the people around us.

Everyone hummed in agreement, a few of the boys rubbing the remaining sleep out of their eyes, Chandler yawned loudly.

"I had a really nice time." I said, leaning into Jimmy's arm which seemed to be permanently wrapped around my shoulders, not that I would ever complain about such a thing. "I hope the next adventure has less scary knife guys though." I added, earning a smile from all the guys who weren't too tired to pay attention to the conversation.

I was happy in every aspect that I was able to make a comment like that. I undoubtedly knew that there would be more adventures to come, whether it was spending a full day in a random place in the middle of nowhere, or just taking the next few steps in my relationship with Jimmy. Everything in my life had all come together, even though I was about to lose my apartment, and I was technically broke, I had absolutely everything to look forward to. I had an entire new group of friends, and as much as I liked to think I enjoyed time alone, I found that the company of these people was all I wanted. They made me feel safe, happy, and cared for, especially Jimmy, the man that was everything I wanted and more.

I knew at this very moment that everything was going to be completely okay, and that even though it might have been a rough ride on the way here, everything happened the way it did for a reason, and I couldn't have asked for it to be any different. I was content.

I looked at Jimmy, only to find he was already looking at me, his eyes sparkling as the sun rose higher in the sky, and a smile on his face showing that he too reflected my thoughts. He kissed me softly, causing my stomach to play home to the well known feeling of butterflies as our lips moved in sync. I can't wait to spend my future with him.
