《1 in 6000 (MrBeast x Reader)》Chapter 43

A/N: So I had to rewrite most of the next few chapters because I didn't like them anymore, so apologies for not giving you the next two chapters as promised, but at least it won't be over as quick this way. Next update in a couple days, hope you all enjoy!

"But it's so hot!" Chandler exclaimed as he was sent to set up the pegs at the end of the 'bowling alley'. We had been taking it in turns for roughly half an hour, and it just so happened that the last time they needed to be set up, it fell on Chandler to do it.

"I know, mate, but it's either that, or one of us will get stabbed or something." Chris joked, and much to his delight, Chandler scrambled to do as he had been requested.

"Come on now, this place seems pretty chill compared to some of the stories we've heard." Jimmy told Chris, a huge smile on his face that had been plastered on since he'd taken an outstanding lead in the first turn of our bowling game. I couldn't disagree though, I'd felt a lot more comfortable in this place than I thought I would've done. A couple of the people I worked with had been going around picking on Chandler, knowing he would be the most gullible when it came to scary stories. He, of course, voiced his concerns to Jimmy, who then retold those stories to me as a joke. But at this moment, all I could think about was Jimmy's voice saying "He thinks they hate tall people.", causing a smile just as wide as Jimmy's to spread across my face.

"So what next?" Garret asked as Chandler finished setting up the pins, only for Chris to push one of them over again with his foot, his sickness clearly not affecting his ability to torment the poor boy.

"You wanna go on the see-saw?" Chris asked, pointing at the huge metal contraption a few foot away.

Garret nodded gleefully, causing Jimmy to look over at me, eyes full of pure excitement, only making him even more beautiful, "Is this what it's like having kids?" He asked in a hushed tone, causing me to laugh, "I don't know, you tell me, they're your responsibility." I joked, gesturing towards Garret who was now up in the air exclaiming "I don't like it" over and over again.

"I've been on scarier rides in, like, amusement parks." Chris said in what can only be described as a poor attempt at comforting the boy.

"But I've also had straps on those scary rides." Garret responded.

"You don't need straps in life, man." Chris added, causing almost every one of us to shake our heads at his way of trying to be wise.

"Sounds like something out of a fortune cookie." I said to Jimmy, as the two boys dismounted the death trap they were sat on.

Tareq had left to venture on his own for a little while in order to get some shots for the video. Chris took this as an opportunity to get his shirt off, whilst Jimmy took it as an opportunity to pull me aside for "some editing talk.", to which the whole group erupted in wolf whistles as he took my hand and led me just out of sight of everyone.

"I can never be subtle with them around." He laughed, putting his hand on my waist, his eyes filled with hunger as they locked with mine. He stood less than an inch in front of me, a devilish smirk on his face, and his other hand reaching to rest on my cheek.

"So you wanted to talk about editing?" I joked before being met with rolling eyes as he rested his forehead on mine.

"We can if you want." He said sarcastically as he pulled back slightly, not getting far before I pulled him even closer to me than he was before, a laugh escaping from his lips before he pressed them against mine, my fingers finding themselves entangled in his hair as he held me close.

It felt like mere seconds that we were together, the whole world disappearing into the background, leaving just the two of us standing there. In reality, however, it had been almost ten minutes, and Tareq had begun to make his way back to the group, catching Jimmy and I in the act as he passed.

"Woah!" He exclaimed, a look of shock evident on his face for a second, before his expression changed into a smug smile.

Jimmy turned to face the boy, who now held his phone in his hand, pointing it at the two of us. Jimmy gave him a look as if to say "Don't you dare.", Tareq's smile only grew wider, causing me to let out a nervous laugh as I looked Jimmy up and down, taking in his ruffled hair, his red cheeks, and his shirt that had somehow tucked itself into his pants in one place, and lifted up in another.

Tareq took the photo, but not before I hid myself behind Jimmy, ensuring that I wasn't going to be made fun of after this.

"You little shit." Jimmy said, a smile now fixed on his face as Tareq bolted back towards the group, carrying the large film camera in one hand, and his phone in the other, looking as if he was about to juggle as he ran.

Jimmy went to run after him, but just before he did, he turned back to me, his eyes full of amusement again, and kissed me on the cheek.

"Jimmy, wait." I told him as he began to turn again, he looked at me, the grin he'd been wearing all day now fixed on his face again. I smoothed down his hair, and straightened his shirt for him, "Okay, you're good."

"Thanks." He replied, bringing his hand up towards my face again, leading me to believe he was going in for another kiss, but he wasn't. His hand rested on top of my head, and he ruffled my hair, "Now we're even." He said, before taking off after Tareq.

"Prick." I laughed, smoothing down my own hair.

The rest of the day was pretty fun, Tareq hadn't shown the photo to anyone yet, but had a huge smirk on his face whenever Jimmy even looked at him, but that didn't stop Jimmy from having just as much of a good time as he had done all day.

We spent quite a lot of time in the 'Art Museum', taking in all of the huge sculptures, 90% of which didn't really make a lick of sense, but were all pretty spectacular, and not something any of us were expecting to see. Jimmy had a firm arm around my waist the entire time we walked around, unfortunately this meant that I was around to hear all of the bad jokes he made as we encountered anything that could even remotely be considered funny.

"Come to the desert if you want fire memes." He said into the camera at one point, before swiftly turning his head towards me to see if I approved of his joke.

I couldn't keep a straight face at most of his jokes, allowing Jimmy to believe that he was the funniest guy in a 100 mile radius, and in effect, causing him to make more jokes.

"God damn it, Jimmy." I said with a sarcastic eye roll as he made a comment about a toilet with glass shards sticking out of it. He nudged me in my side, "Hey now, you know I'm a comedic genius." he said as he kissed my forehead.

'What a lovable idiot.' I thought as he continued pointing at things and making jokes, his smile making the day feel even brighter, if that was even possible.
