《1 in 6000 (MrBeast x Reader)》Chapter 33

Jimmy left the bedroom, giving his hair one last pat down before joining Jake. I gave him a minute, just so the topic of conversation on the drive over to his house wasn't about the events that had just taken place. I'm pretty sure Jake would have told everyone milliseconds after finding out, causing Chandler and Chris to make fun of us all night. I smiled at the thought of it, not having to pretend that I didn't want to jump him anymore would be pretty freeing.
I checked myself in the mirror, and reapplied my lipstick, wiping the little bit that had smeared. I heard Jake's booming laughter coming from the living room, and decided that I was ready. I slid the door across, watching as Jake buckled over, laughing without making a sound. Jimmy was standing in front of him, an annoyed look on his face as he watched the scene take place. I cleared my throat, drawing their attention. "You okay?" I asked, a small smile on my face. Jake stopping laughing for a second, sighed loudly and wiped away a tear that had formed. He nodded at me, "I just asked Jimmy if he had a handbag that matched his lipstick." and then began to laugh again. I looked at Jimmy, the dark colored pigment smeared slightly across his lips. I mouthed 'sorry' to him, and ran back into the bathroom to grab him a make up wipe. So much for keeping quiet about it for now.
He wiped his mouth, removing the crimson pigment, as he gave me a smile. Jake made a loud sighing noise, and dried his eyes. "Don't worry." He said, "I won't tell anyone." I felt a little relief come over me, whilst it wasn't exactly intended to be a secret, I still didn't fully know where Jimmy's head was at, and even though they were my friends, the were more his, and I felt as though it would be best coming from him if he even wanted to tell them. "Thanks man." Jimmy said, "I don't want anything to take the attention off Y/N tonight." He looked at me, a twinkle in his eye and a smile playing on his lips. "It's her night." I smiled back at him, getting slightly dizzy over the events that had just taken place. Not so much the scary man breaking into my apartment, but being rescued by a typical knight in shining armor. If Jimmy hadn't have been here, I could imagine I would be having a full on panic attack, or even a heart attack. Even now, after the police had taken him away, if it weren't for Jimmy, I'd be torn apart. It was absolutely insane how much of an impact he had on me. I could feel my hands shaking a little bit still, but I couldn't tell if it was because of fear, or because of the absolute euphoria I felt after kissing Jimmy. Safe to say, I was a little conflicted with my emotions for the time being. Too many contrasting things had happened over such a short space of time.

"So... Party?" Jake asked, breaking the comfortable silence that had befallen Jimmy and I. I broke eye contact with him, nodding at Jake. "Let's go." I told him, and made my way over to the box by the door, that contained all the shoes I never wore. I pulled out a pair of short black heels, they shone in the moonlight that was seeping through the window. "It'll be nice to be somewhere with power." I joked, almost falling over as I fastened up the shoes. I saw Jimmy's hand reach out as if to catch me if I did fall, but luckily I wasn't quite as good at embarrassing myself as I thought. I steadied myself, straightened my clothes and smiled at the boys. I noticed Jimmy's eyes focusing on the red piece of paper that was still pasted onto the door. I hoped that he wouldn't mention anything about it tonight, I'd had enough serious talk for one evening, and I was happy when his vision landed back on me and he just smiled. Maybe he couldn't read it due to how dark it was anyway.
I followed the two out of the door, and locked it behind me, not looking forward to having to come back at any time. Jimmy lingered behind a little bit, and waited for me to catch up before we walked down the stairs. We walked beside each other, our hands bumping into each other a couple of times before he laced his fingers in mine. I thought about how it was almost like a story, it seemed so cliche and ridiculous, but it made me happy that he was like that. There's not many men I've met that matched up with the ones in romance novels, or movies, but Jimmy did. He was a perfect gentleman. I smiled just thinking about it, and Jimmy squeezed my hand, letting me know that he'd seen it. I squeezed his back as we reached the bottom of the stairs. Jake looked at us and rolled his eyes, "Come on guys, you can't be like this and still expect me to not tell anyone." We both laughed as he held the door open for us to exit the building. He linked arms with Jimmy as we walked down the steps. "You're still my boy though, right?" Jake asked, giving Jimmy a toothy grin, he laughed, and smacked Jake on his ass, "You're god damn right I am." I chuckled to myself, and sighed, happy that whilst Jimmy was a typical movie love interest, he was also a boy, and boys will be boys.

We got into the car, Jake sat in the back, doing something on his phone, and when he caught sight of me glancing at him, he winked at me, hiding his phone even more from view, with a cheeky grin on his face. I reiterate, boys, will be boys. I smiled to myself, watching as Jimmy strapped himself into his seat. He seemed as though he was excited, and so was I. He didn't even care what the results of my exam were before he planned a celebration. I didn't even know what the results were, and I didn't particularly care either. I'm already where I want to be. The party is just a bonus.
