《1 in 6000 (MrBeast x Reader)》Chapter 10

"What?!" I exclaimed, standing up from the sofa in excitement, but also worry over why he had spent more money on me. It must have been the cashier from Walmart. Jimmy was there when he said about my card getting declined, but he never mentioned anything, I assumed he just didn't hear. My eyes shot over the multiple bags that were lying across my apartment. I could only see the few things in the tops that were poking out, and there was all sorts of stuff. Multi-packs of drink, eggs, bread, chocolate, even a bottle of champagne in one of them. I shot Jimmy a look, my mouth still slightly parted in surprise. He simply smiled at me even more. "You didn't have to do this, Jimmy." He shook his head at me, "It's the least I could do, you needed it." He stood up from the sofa, picking a few bags up off the floor. "Come on, I'll help you put it away, you don't want the ice cream to melt". I chuckled at him, and leaned over to give him a hug. "Thank you" I said, squeezing him slightly. I felt his hand reach around to my back, and he gave me a small squeeze back, making my stomach flip.

I let go of him quickly, as he had already picked up a couple of bags, and I can't imagine it was comfortable for him. His hoodie was so extremely soft though, and it was another MrBeast one, so I might have to make a purchase when I get a job sorted for myself. I grabbed some bags myself and followed Jimmy to the kitchen. "Where do things go?" He asked, scanning my very run down kitchen. The cupboards that lined the walls were all empty, apart from the odd one that had my plates, glasses, or can of soup in them. The fridge and freezer were empty too. "It's up to you, everything's empty so wherever you want." I said, placing the bags on the kitchen table. It wobbled slightly, due to the uneven flooring. Jimmy placed his bags on the other side, and it wobbled even more. "Are you going to come and help, Chris?" He asked. Chris gave him a look, yawned, and then groaned once more. "Yeah, I left my phone in the car though, so I'm going to run down there quickly." He said, pulling himself out of the uncomfortable armchair. "Here, take my key" I told him, pulling my keys out of my back pocket. "You won't have to wait to be buzzed in" He shot me a smile, and made his way back out of the apartment.

Jimmy and I unpacked all of the shopping by ourselves, he had bought me so much stuff, I didn't think I would have to buy anything myself for another month. He had thought of everything from Pot Noodles, and Mac 'n' Cheese, to every ingredient for multiple meals. My fridge was practically over filling, and my freezer was full of all kinds of pizzas and chips. He'd gone slightly overboard on the ice cream, his excuse being he 'didn't know what flavor I liked'. I couldn't thank him enough.

Chris conveniently entered just as we'd finished packing the last few items into the cupboards, carrying an even bigger bag of stuff with him. He set this one down just next to the armchair he was sitting in earlier, blocking it from my view with a cheeky smile. I smiled back at him, not wanting to appear nosy as to what he had brought in with him. "Right" I said, clapping my hands. "You know what drinks I have now, seeing as you brought them with you, get yourselves comfy, I'll be back in a second." And with that, I excused myself, making my way to the bathroom.

I didn't need to go, but I think I needed a minute to myself to get over all of the excitement. I locked the door behind me, and walked towards the sink. I rested against it for a minute, not being able to wipe the smile off my face. Why was this guy helping me out so much? I didn't do anything to deserve it, nor did he know exactly what I was going through, but he still took time out of his day to make sure I was okay. The YouTube videos I'd watched last night were enough proof I needed to know that this guy had money, but using it to buy me groceries was in no way going to profit him. He was just doing this out of the kindness in his heart, and I had no idea what I could do to repay him.

I washed my hands, so that they didn't think I was just doing nothing in the bathroom, but I left quickly, so that they didn't think I was doing TOO much in the bathroom. I had calmed myself down, so hopefully I wasn't going to come across as if I was too manic with my gratefulness. I didn't want to piss Jimmy off by saying 'Thank you' more times than needs be. I walked back into the living room/kitchen, and saw that Jimmy was pouring champagne into my randomly shaped - not at all from the same set - wine glasses. I perched myself on the sofa, sitting back as I watched the bubbles fizzing about in the drink. "I thought champagne was usually drunk during times of celebration." I commented, giving Jimmy a slight smirk. He chuckled at me, "That's exactly right, Y/N, this is a celebration." I gratefully took the glass that he was handing to me. Chris leaned forward and accepted his, before giving me the same cheeky grin that Jimmy gave me earlier. "Well I mean, it's not every day that you land an amazing job in Graphic Design and Video Editing is it?"
