Okay so let's pretend that your mom lives on the way through the long road that the gas station is on. Also this is a mixture between different movies, the Leatherface is from the 2003 reboot along with Luda May. Tex and Nubbins are here too. Basically Luda is like the parent who has 3 boys. Idk I originally only had Luda and Thomas but that didn't feel like enough. And I don't even know what's going on with the house, but this is my story so I can do what I want 😂! It's basically the 2003 house with hints of the original house, it doesn't matter to much. Enjoy!
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
You came back to Texas to see your mom. You'd be staying at her house for a couple months so you needed something to do. Once you and your mom caught up you headed back out to your car and went on the road.
On your way to your moms house you saw that a gas station was hiring. You DID need something to do, so why not? You listen to music as you make your way to your future job.
Pulling up by the gas station you hop out and fix your shirt. You were wearing a button up shirt that was tucked into knee length jean shorts. You huff and start making your way to the front door.
"Hey, I'm here for to apply for a job." A bigger woman was sitting on the other side of the counter. She gets up and smiles at you reaching for your hand. You happily take it and introduce your self. "I'm Y/N!" She takes her hand back. "Luda May, so you want a job ay, well you got it!" You breath out and shake your head with a smile. "That's it?" You ask. "Yep, you'll start tomorrow!" She goes back to her seat and waves you away. You return the gesture and step outside. "That was way easier than I thought."
The next day you come in at the same time. The woman explains what you have to do and leaves you to it. While sitting there for awhile you grow bored quickly. Somehow this is the first time you take in the details of your surroundings. You look at the pig head in the glass and silently scoff. It was super old and had flys all up in there. You don't judge easily but this was for sure a red flag.
The door swings open and a couple teens step in. They're freaking out and explain what's going on to Luda May. She tells them to call the sharif. You're thoroughly confused and do your best to understand what they're talking about. "Is there anything I can do?" You ask leaning over Luda Mays shoulder. "Oh it's nothing dear they're just heading to the mill." You step out from behind her. " I know how to get there, I use to live near there when I was younger!" Luda May pulls you aside and tells you some things.
"You don't want to go up there sweetheart, The people up there don't like visitors to much." You also duck your head down. "What do you mean? Are they killers or something?" You chuckle at your own joke and look at her, she wasn't laughing. "Oh... OH!" She shushes you and pulls you closer. "I'll explain everything later sweetheart, I'll call em up and tell them to spare you, don't get caught up in the violence, once you get them there you come back." She sternly whispers grabbing the phone. You nod stepping out from the counter.

You walk with the teens to their van and hop in, they let you sit behind the two front seats and give directions.
The sun was setting as they finally pull in to the driveway beside the shed. You hope out and take in you surroundings. You've only been here a couple times but they held a special place in your heart. They start walking around and they hear a noise in the shed. You decide to stay back and hang by the van. You walk around the open fields and sit down by a couple cars. You sit there for awhile until you think the guys would be back. Getting up you brush the grass off your butt.
Screams burrowed into your head as you look at the direction of the sounds. You do your best not to panic. Luda had told you about them so you knew what you were getting into. You slowly creep around to the van and peak from the back. You quietly gasp as you see blood everywhere. You turn around to get the sight out of your eyes and squeak. You're faced with a man who is freakishly tall, he was carrying a chainsaw that was drenched in blood. He huffs at you and turns around. You push your fears down and slowly follow after him. "A-are you the guy Luda told me about?" You shakily ask leaning to look over his forearm from a few feet away. He doesn't respond and continues walking. You huff and follow him from a distance, you knew he could tell you were there, but you followed anyway. You trusted Luda, even though you had only met her the day before. She went out of her way to keep you safe, and this...guy, listened. He can't be as bad as you think.
You hear sounds from behind you and you stop. The guy keeps walking not hearing it. You hear whimpering and you step towards it. Once of the girls rushes out and drops to her knees in front of you.
At this point you don't know what to do. You trust Luda may, who has a connection with that guy, she may even be working with him, but... he's a killer. You need to pick a side, and at the moment you don't know which one it will be. You stand there and wait for her to calm down. She starts crying about the other teens and pulling on your shirt sleeve to take you back to the van. You look at the direction the guy went and make a risky decision.
"Here, I know a place we can hide!" You help her up and grab her arm. You turn her into the forest after the large man hoping to find him quickly. The girl starts talkie again, but you aren't listening. Your trying to figure out where the man went. You make it through the forest and come out to a field surrounding a huge house. You and the girl make your way to the house, your practically dragging her to the steps. You hear voices from inside. A coupe male voices, one female, and some grunts. You realize the grunts sound the same as the guys grunt from before, and that the voice sounds like Luda May. You and the girl come up the stairs and knock on the door. The voices stop and the house goes silent. You know that guy's probably gonna come out swinging or something crazy so you speak extra loud so they know it's you. "Don't worry they can help us!" You reassure the girl and wait for someone to answer the door. A young looking man comes to the door and opens it. He leans on the door way and nods his head. "Well hello, wasn't expecting any guests." He says looking at you. "Please! Please, we need to use your phone!" The girl says finally letting you go. You slowly nod keeping eye contact. He steps aside and let's the two of you in. She rushes to the phone and you pear around the closest corner. Two people stood in the kitchen, Luda May and a skinny black haired boy. Luda looks over at you and silently called you over.

"Woowee!" The guy covers his mouth and laughs. "I thought I told you to come back right away?" Luda puts a hand on her hip. She didn't seem mad, but she certainly wasn't pleased. You cross your arms and explain what went down. "Well we came in the same vehicle, I couldn't get back..." You give a weak smile and continue. "I heard screaming so I went over to the sound and I found that guy, He spared me like you said." Tex comes in and once again leans on the doorway. "I followed him and we got separated, then I found her." You motioned to the other room. " I connected the dots that you and that guy are connected, so I took her here." You shrugged. The black haired guy yells and jumps around. "Can we keep her?! Can we keep her?!" He moves around like a monkey as a door down the hall loudly slams open.
You look towards the sound and see the big man standing in the hallway. You look at the girl who was shaking in fear. She runs over to you and tries to pull you towards the door with her. "Come on! We have to get out of here!" She starts crying and pulling you back and forth in an attempt to pull you with her. You grab her and shove her towards the man. She cries out as she hits the floor. The man approaches her and saws into her body. You turn your head in attempts not to see it, the family cheers at the sight and the black haired guy continues to jump around. Once the girl had finally died he drags her into the room at the end of the hall and slams the door shut.
Luda had sat you down and told you everything. You take it all in silently, thinking what your next move is going to be. You like it here, in a weird and shocking way. You know they wouldn't hurt you, If Luda didn't trust you she wouldn't have told you all this, and you'd for sure be dead by now. You want to stay you really do, but will they let you?
She stands up and goes into the hall looking at the floor. She shakes her head. "This mess will not do..." You get up as come beside her. "I could help you clean up?" You offer. "I quite like cleaning actually." She gives a little laugh and the two of you spend time cleaning the blood trail that stretched down the hall. After that you helped cook dinner and set the table. It seemed that you didn't need to ask to stay, They got the hint pretty quickly. You finished setting the plates down and awaited what Luda would tell you to do next. She turns to you. "Alright now go get. Thommy, After that we'll eat!" You nod and you step out of the kitchen.
You cautiously walk down the hall and slowly slide the door open. You hear distant slams and grunts. You step down the narrow hallway and you creak down the wooden stairs into a wet and dark basement. Looking at the far side of the basement you see Thomas hacking into something. You're feet splashed in the shallow water as you made your way over to the monster of a man.
"Hey Thomas, Dinners ready." You walk beside him and look at the table. You quietly gawk at the girl that was sprawled across the table. He stops hacking and looks at you. He grunts and lightly pushes you towards the stairs. You silently go back up stairs and tell Luda May what happened. The rest of the family came in and sat down at the table.
"Where's Thommy?" Tex asks shoving food into his mouth. "He didn't want to come up." You said poking at your food. You take a drink of water as Nubbins speaks up. "S-so you and him, you- you guys a thing yet?" He throws his head back and cackles at his own joke as you rub your forehead. "Why would we be a thing?" You ask taking your first bite off your plate. He just continues laughing as Tex joins the conversation. "He seems to like you, a " You scoff and take another bite of your food. The dinner continued and you sat there thinking about what Tex has said.
After dinner Luda told you to bring Thomas a plate of food. You agree and once again descend down the stairs. Coming to wards him you notice he was no longer in at the table on the far side, but a smaller table leaning over something you couldn't see. You step towards him and tap him on the shoulder. "I-I brought you a plate." You place it down on the desk and look over his shoulder. You quickly retreat when he grunts and covers it. You sigh and and sit on the desk beside him not looking at what he was working on.
"Why didn't you come up for dinner?" You lean closer to see his reaction. He looks away and you pout. "I'm guessing that you don't talk?" He nods and you take a look at what he's doing. Your eyes widen as you see the horrors he was trying to hide. You keep quiet and try to calm down, he's the last person you want to piss off.
"W-ha?" You take a deep breath and continue your pointless question. "What are you doing?" Thomas reluctantly points to his face. "O-oh." You look away and fiddle with your fingers as he gets back to work. You slowly reach towards his face. "Why do you wear masks?" As soon as your hands reach the edge of the mask he loudly grunts and grabs your hand. You squeak and pull away. You rub your wrist still looking at him as Luda comes downstairs. She tells Thomas to come upstairs and show you the room you'll be staying in. He gets up and starts walking, you worriedly follow. The two of you go upstairs and he opens up and room with a queen sized bed. He shows you a closet with shirts in it, judging by the options you assume this is his room. You look at him and he goes down the hall to the bathroom. You find a long shirt, taking off your old one you pull it over your head. It was surprisingly comfy. You take your shorts off and slowly crawl into the bed. You sit there and stare at the ceiling.
He comes back in and lays down beside you. He's practically hanging off the bed. You sit there for a while but you feel so bad, you can't leave him like that. You sit up and lightly poke his shoulder. "Thomas?" You whisper as softly as you could. He turns his head slightly to show he's listening. "You don't have to be so far away." He sits up and gives a questioning huff. You pat the space beside you turning around and laying down. You feel his scoot closer and smile. You flip over and get closer snuggling into his chest. He puts his hand on your head and you quickly fall asleep to the sound of his breathing.
Y/Ns lived with the Hewitts for a couple months now. She's told her mom that she's staying with a friend so she won't worry. She still works at the Gas Station and helps around the house, Tex and Nubbins have welcomed her with open arms and even consider her part of the family. Her and Thomas have become much closer. They're always together and they love sitting out in the hot Texas heat. They drink lemonade and look at the clouds.
"That ones a duck." You say pointing into the sky. Thomas nods and you take a sip of lemonade. He looks at you and rubs your hand. He's so glad to have you, and you're so glad to have him. You keep thinking how bad life would've been if you hadn't met the Hewitts, You're so glad you decided to kill that girl, as psychotic as that sounds. You lay your head on Thomas's shoulder and smile. She was annoying anyway.
This is 2712 words, dang! It's almost 3am so the ending isn't the best but I thought it was cute, so hope you enjoyed!

8 117Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
