《Vanilla Smoke (Blue Exorcist)》Chapter 37

Shura was quick to realize what was going on and shouted, "Whoa whoa whoa! Somebody stop her!" As she rushed forward, but it was too late.
Shiemi stepped outside of the circle and Amaimon jumped down, from his spot wrapping and arm around the blonde and pulling her closer.
"Shiemi!" Rin shouted in fury but was brought to an abrupt halt the Shura blocked him with the blade of her sword.
Shuku had her eyes hooded, and the hood of her jacket pulled up, shading her eyes, but the iris of her right glistened through the dark, the other hidden by shadows cast by the moonlight. She slipped her vapor pen away and clasped her knives to her fingers, and made sure the gun was ready to be shot of the drop of the hat. It was time. Time to end this charade.
"What did you do to that girl?!" Shura ordered her eyes blazing with anger.
"Oh. I just had a female chuchi lay and egg inside of her, that's all." Amaimon responded as he stroked Moriyama's head, her green eyes glazed over. "It took forever and a half to hatch but now that it's nibbling on her nervous system, this young lady will do whatever I tell her to." Amaimon continued in his usual, childish tone.
Rin growled, fire burning in his eyes as Amaimon jumped away with Shiemi in his arms. "Get back here cone head!" He shouted, pursuing Amaimon.
No one watched as Shuku closed her eyes, and locked away whatever she had felt until now. She couldn't afford to loose sight of what she had to do, and who she had to save, or what would happen if she came out alive after this. Her life after this was a problem for her later self to deal with. Shuku's eyes and face became an unreadable stoic mask as she walked forward, in the same direction as Rin.

Just as Rin left the circle, Amaimon's pet lunged at him, only to be blocked by Shura, who tossed Rin his sword, and he ran off as Shura started to fight Amaimon's pet.
"Okumura!" Bon shouted as Rin disappeared into the forest.
"Nobody leaves the magic circle under any circumstances! Shuku what are you doing! Did you not just hear what I said!" Shura ordered, then shouted as Shuku stepped outside the circle, and walked after Rin.
"Shuku! Get your ass back here! This is a dangerous situation!" Shura yelled at Shuku again, but Shuku did nothing but continue walking forward and past Shuku, who froze as she saw the look on Shuku's face.
The look in her eyes was the same as when Shura had been undercover in the beginning of the year. Stoic and cold, with a strong undertone of harshness. Shura had seen that look before on others, those others being heartless killer demons. But the look on Shuku's face, a glare on it as well, looked like it itself would kill, and watch as the other writhed in pain. Shuku walked right past the frozen Shura, and into the forest after Rin, her knifes gleaming in the silver moonlight. Shuku had the intent to kill.
Bon stood there as Shuku disappeared, then time seemed to resume and the demon attacked Shura again. It had seemed just as frozen by Shuku as Shura had been. This was just like what had happened at the Exwire exams, only instead of it being a drill, this time, no one was guaranteed to come back alive.
=================================================================
Shuku sped up her pace slightly as soon as she was out of sight from the others. She should leave now, while she was alone, while she as still unknown. She shouldn't have gotten attached. That's what her first lesson in her survival test had been with the hellhound. Love only caused pain in the end.

Shuku watched Rin lunged for Amaimon, aiming to hit Amaimon with his still sheathed sword. Almost effortlessly, Amaimon caught the sword, looking rather annoyed. Amaimon said something to Rin that Shuku didn't bother to catch, and flicked Rin away. The force itself uprooted trees and sent high winds in every direction. Rin was sent flying and through trees for at least a kilometer causing several crashing noises that would be probably spotted by the others. That was the power of one of the Demon Kings, even the youngest one. Briefly, Shuku saw Amaimon glace at her, before continuing after Rin, Shiemi still in his arms.
Shuku passed, an odd feeling started to bubble inside of her. She was pissed, but something else as well. So much more concentrated, and deadly. It made Shuku want to rip out Amaimon's throat and watch him bleed out and die before she was satisfied. This feeling was her rage and hate, bottled up for so long that it needed to be directed at something. And right now, Amaimon was her target. She should keep it, though, save it for her father.
Shuku immediately broke off into a full speed sprint through the forest after Rin. Her feet sent up dirt and she had to keep a hand on her hood to keep it from flying off. The trees melted into a blur and the wind pushed against her face. Shuku was no more than a blur, so fast the human eye could barely comprehend her movements, the mind, however, couldn't. Shuku was moving faster than any human should.
Shuku could feel the power flowing through her at the moment. It filled her body and action to the point of inhuman strength and speed. Her senses spread out, focusing on what lied ahead of her when with just her eyes became difficult, she had to rely on everything to move fast enough yet not injure herself at the same time. Her right eye glowed intensely, almost burning inside of Shuku's skull, the pain was there, but Shuku paid no mind to it. She couldn't, not now.
Shuku could sense it now. The three boys had left the circle, and Yukio was nearby. Rin was so close as well, but as it seemed, the three boys would reach Rin and Amaimon before Shuku could, not having to run back all the way around to the opposite side of camp first. The sound of a whistling rocket could be head just through the tree line, then shouts, and a second rocket went off and exploded just as Shuku managed to leap over a log and onto the edge of what had become a disaster zone.
Trees had been tossed aside by ungodly prowesses, and boulders lay scattered across the opening. Shuku had appeared on the far right of the battle field, having a clear view of what was occurring. The first thing that Shuku saw was Amaimon, well... Amaimon's hair. The top of it had turned to something that looked like broccoli, steam coming off of it.
In any other time and place, Shuku would've laughed her ass off, but she was in no mood to be amused. Rin lied in on a border in front of Amaimon, looking like absolute shit, that only fueled the fire burning inside of her. The three boys, Ryuji, Shima, and Konekomaru were directly in front of her, with confused looks on their faces. Amaimon blinked, and reached his free hand that wasn't holding the blonde hostage up to his head, and squished the poof green broccoli on top of his head. It was silent for a a moment longer, before Shima lost, control and started laughing.
That's how to piss off a demon king alright, and a good way to get killed too. Shima fucked up.

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

A Requiem For The End
Yuga wakes up on a cold, frigid land entirely covered in snow. Where was he? Who was he? Neither of these could he remember but he didn't have time to think of it, he could tell danger wasn't far. A quick death if he failed to avoid it. It was fast approaching and much as he tried to escape, it quickly caught up with him. Luckily he had survived, but was he just lucky or was there something more to him.....? A Requiem For The End is a fantasy story set in a world.......well, quite different from most stories you might have seen (I honestly don't know how to better describe it). Early into the story (prologue) the world feels elusive because you slowly learn about it through the eyes of Yuga. As you read on questions may arise in your mind and mysteries will present themselves. The answers to them will come the further you read. I'd like to think the plot is a bit larger than the average and same goes for the world building. If you find this story intriguing then all I can say is - There's a lot for me to tell, hop on?
