I slightly open my eyes and grab my phone off my desk. I reach over, my eyes still somewhat shut, but it's not there.

I rub my eyes and then open them fully.

I look around and notice that I'm not in my bed. I'm in a different dorm.

Where the fuck am I?

The door creaks open, and I see Leo walk in.

Wait. Did we?

No, we couldn't of.

he walks up to the bed, holding a bottle of water and a bottle of pills in his hand. "here, take 2 of these"

I furrow my eyebrows. "I don't need them."

he abruptly opens my hand open and sets them in "they're for your hangover."

"I don't have a hangover" I smile and get up from the bed to give the pills back to Leo.

"what," he asks.

"I don't get hangovers."

"you're joking, right" he sounds unconvinced. Why would I lie about not being hungover?

"nope"

He stares right at me while repeatedly blinking, "just drink the water than" he hands me the bottle.

I open the bottle, take a small sip, and then close the lid "hey, do you know where my phone is" I question.

He turns around "oh yeah, it's right here" he walks over to the closet and pulls out my purse.

I take the purse from his hand and pull my phone out. I turn it on, and my widen.

My mother texted me.

I unlock my phone and open the message.

I read over the text, wishing me a happy birthday and talking about how much she loves me.

It's sweet.

But at the end of the message, I see that she signed it with her name.

Mom never does that. She never even signs stuff. My father does.

Leo taps my shoulder, and I quickly sit down and look up "hey, are you okay?" He questions.

"yeah," I force a smile.

"do you want to do something?" Leo questions and smirks.

"like what"

"you'll see."

"fine" I get up from the bed, and Leo walks to the door.

"Before we go, I kinda need to change" I look down at my outfit. Leo looks at me as well, his eyes going over my body.

"we'll stop at your dorm" Leo opens the door.

I nod, and we walk out.

We walk towards where my dorm is and don't exchange any words along the way.

We reach my dorm; I realize I don't have the key. I turn and look at "I don't have the key."

He puts his hand in this pocket and pulls a key out. "I know you don't, I do" he walks in front of me and unlocks the door.

we walk into my dorm "where did you get the key."

"Vivienne, I went back to where the party was, Which was rowan's parents, and got it from her"

he pulls the chair out of my desk and sits in it "oh yeah, and that's where they slept"

I am nod in understanding and walk towards my mirror. Holy shit, I look like a mess.

there's mascara all over my eyelids, I have dark circles under my eyes, and my hair is a mess "before we go, I'm gonna take a shower."

Leo nods and keeps looking at the things on my desk.

I walk into the bathroom and take a shower. I wash my hair and my body.

After about 30 minutes in there, I step out.

I look around for my clothes but can't find them.

I forgot my clothes.

I'm so fucking stupid.

I wrap my towel around myself and walk out. Leo turns and looks at me.

His eyes go wide.

"I forgot my clothes," I say quietly.

He doesn't respond.

I walk to my closet, pick out a shirt and pair of sweats. "is there anything specific I have to wear?" I ask him.

"anything but sweat pants and a baggy sweater," Leo responds and keeps on looking and touching the things on my desk.

Okay, so no sweat pants. I set them back and pull out a pair of light wash jeans and an off-white graphic baby tee.

I walk back into the bathroom, not sparing another glance at Leo.

I change, put on some light makeup and walk out. "okay, we can go now."

Leo stands up from the table "your hair" he looks at me and furrows his eyebrows.

I look down at my hair, confused"what about it."

"it's wavy" he walks over to me and flicks it.

"Indeed it is" I move his hand away "are we going, or are you gonna keep playing hair salon?"

"we're going," he coughs out.

"we're here," Leo exclaims. We're in front of a vast building. The doors are about 9 feet tall and glass.

I look at the sign that's engraved on the wall in front of the use

An art gallery, a vast art gallery. "oh my god," Leo smiles at my comment but doesn't say a word.

"let's go in" I grab Leo's arm and pull him.

"I'm coming. Calm down," he laughs.

We pay and then get inside. "holy shit, there's so much art," I say.

"it's an art gallery what did you think was in here" He shakes his head.

I don't respond to him. I walk away from him and walk around.

My eyes catch this one specific piece. It's abstract art. with blue, orange, red, and purple. You'd think those colors wouldn't work well together, but it does, and it looks lovely.

But it looks familiar.

Too familiar.

I look at the art closely, but someone coughs beside me, causing me to turn around. "What are you doing" Leo questions.

"what does it look like?" I shake my head.

Leo rolls his eyes "do you paint?" he asks.

"definitely not," I laugh.

"why not"

"i can't"

Leo rolls his eyes "can we go somewhere else? I'm bored."

"We just got here," I say and walk to look at the other paintings.

Leo follows right behind me "please."

I stop and look at him "you were the one that brought us here."

"i don't care"

I don't respond to him and walk towards more paintings.

"I'll give you a kiss if we can go somewhere else," he tells me.

Is he high? Why would I want a kiss from him?

"I don't want a kiss from you," I say, furrowing my eyebrows.

"everyone does" he smiles cockily and moves to stand right beside me.

He's so full of himself.

I move closer to him, too close. I look at his eyes and then down to his lips. with a new confidence i ask "this is an excuse, isn't it? so you can kiss me."

he keeps his gaze on my lips "I don't want to."

I raise my eyebrows "are you sure."

he nods.

And with that, I pull away from him and walk around the gallery some more.

"Woah" I look around the room

"yeah, woah" Leo walks further in, looking all around.

"I've never seen one of these before," I say, walking and looking up.

"I haven't either" Leo smiles.

We're in a room with projections full of different constellations. It's dark, and we're the only ones in the room.

I walk to the back wall and lean on it. Leo comes up and leans beside me. "are you still mad about not leaving?"

"definitely not" he looks at me. His eyes burning into mine.

I look up at the stars yet again; I can't stop. "it's beautiful in here."

"Indeed it is."

"I love stars," I say while still staring up at the walls around us. I cannot get over how pretty it is in here. It's dim but not pitch black. It's the perfect temperature, not too cold, not too hot. It's perfect.

Leo looks up with a small smile. "I can tell."

Leo opens his mouth like he's about to say something else but stops himself.

"what" i question.

"nothing"

"Just tell me."

his eyes widen, and he takes in a breath "are you okay?"

I nod "yeah, why are you asking."

he takes in another breath "you were acting weird this morning, and I was just curious on why."

I furrow my eyebrows, "I was not" I was not acting weird. If anything, he was.

"if you say so," Leo mumbles.

"I do say so."

He doesn't respond.

"come on. I have an idea of what we can do next" I change the topic and put my hand out for him to follow me.

"a book store?" Leo looks up at the store before us and then at me.

I nod and walk into the store. Leo follows behind me.

"so I had an idea" I turn to him.

"you already said that" He walks up to one of the shelves.

"I meant an idea for what we could do here," I add.

He stares at me, not saying another word.

I stare back at him "pick one book out."

"why" he questions, furrowing his eyebrows.

"just do it, and when you're done, meet me back by this shelf" I point to the shelf we're standing by now.

I start to walk away, but I turn around once again "also, it has to be a book you've already read."

Leo nods in understanding.

I walk to a shelf and look at the books. Historical fiction. Disgusting. Do people even read historical fiction? I mean, I don't have anything against it. It's just. It's so uninteresting.

I walk to another shelf but this one's science fiction.

I look over at the other shelves, non-fiction, fantasy, mystery, romance, there it is.

I look at the shelf, looking closely at each book. I grab three books I've read that I think Leo would like.

I take the books and try to find Leo, but he's already waiting for me. "do you have the book" I question

Leo nods and holds up a book in his hand.

"Okay, I have three, so pick one of these now" I hand him the books

He looks over each one, checking the back and front. Leo sets down 2 of the books, "this one."

"Okay, now we pay," I say. I take his book and walk over to the cash register.

The employee takes the books and scans them setting them in a bag. I take my card out and go to pay, but Leo gets to it before I can.

I look at him, but he just grabs the bags and walks out, not sparing a second glance.

I follow him out "you didn't need to pay."

"I wanted to," he leans on the wall, "so what do we do with the books now."

I move beside him. "I read the book you picked out, and you read the book I picked out."

"that's what we came here for" His eyes widen. Why else would we come here? Is he stupid?

"and when we're done reading, we talked about the book with each other" I ignore his unnecessary commentary

I've always wanted to do this with someone. It seems so fun.

"so like a book club" He furrows his eyebrows.

"well, when you say it like that, it sounds stupid," I mumble. It is definitely not a book club.

"it is."

I turn my head and look at Leo "it is not."

"It is," he repeats.

I grab the bag from his hand "fine. We're not doing it then" if he thinks it's stupid, he doesn't have to do it.

He grabs the bag back from my hands; I look at him with wide eyes. "I never said I didn't want to do it."

"you're complaining about it. It's annoying," I respond truthfully.

Leo looks at me. "I'll do it with you. I already paid for the books."

"just don't complain" I look him dead in the eyes.

"I won't," he says.
