It's officially been a week and a half since I have moved to Vancouver.
It's Saturday, thank god I don't know how much more of school I could take.
The curriculum here is more complicated than at my old school.
Although I do miss it, I enjoy it a lot more here.
I grab my phone and look at the time; it's 4:30.
I'm supposed to go out with Rowan around 5:00
I quickly get up and start to get ready.
Rowan told me to "dress accordingly."
Yet I don't even know where we're going.
After looking through my closet for what felt like hours, I put on a mini skirt and a black knit sweater.
I put on some mascara, blush, concealer, and highlighter along with some gold jewelry.
I hear the creaking of my door. I look up and see Rowan walking in
"Hey, Blair, are you ready?".
I nod, soon after I grab my bag, and we walk out the door.
-
"Rowan, can you tell me where we're going."
Rowan then grabs my arm and starts pulling me "you'll see, hurry up. "
After a few minutes of running, Rowan lets go and stops.
A restaurant.
I look at Rowan "you're telling me you dragged me here to go to a restaurant."
Rowan pushes me towards the doors "yup."
After we walk in, Rowan moves towards the hostess and tells her something.
He starts walking further in, and I follow.
Soon enough, Rowan stops and turns to me. "Blair, we're having dinner with my parents."
I look towards Rowan with wide eyes "what."
He lets out a deep breath "they told me they needed to talk to me, and I didn't want to go alone, I'm sorry."
"Rowan, it's okay. I would've come if you just asked me," I say, being completely honest.
He then pulls me into a hug, squeezing me to the point where I can't Breathe "thank you."

We soon reach a table with a man and a woman sitting down.
Rowan walks over to one side of the table and pulls the chair out, standing in front of it.
He taps the chair lightly, looking at me. Realizing what he means, I sit down, and then he sits beside me.
"Who's this," his father asks, pointing to me.
I feel something hit me in the side; out of the corner of my eye, I can see Rowan elbowing me.
I look at Rowan's dad " uh-hi, I'm Blair De Luca, Rowan's friend."
Why did I say that.
He must think that I'm stupid.
Rowan's dad's eyes linger at me for a second " De Luca? As in Elijah De Luca?" He questions.
I take in a breath "yeah, he's my father."
The table goes quiet for a couple of seconds before Rowan's mom speaks up. "So Rowan, we needed to talk to you about the charity event tomorrow."
-
"Thank you so much for coming with me, Blair," he says as we're walking down the street.
I stop and turn towards Rowan "it wasn't a problem."
" the event my mom was talking about, do you know what you're going to wear" he questions as we walk into a mall.
I look Rowan dead in the eyes. "What do you mean."
He looks confused, "the charity event at the school."
Charity event?
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Well, every year at the school there's this charity event, and everyone has to attend, some parents even do," he reply's.
"is that why your--" I start to say but get cut off.
"My parents asked me to dinner? Yup, they come every year."
I nod in understanding as we walk into a store.
"So, do you know what you're gonna wear?" He questions again.
No, I do not:
"Kind of, "I reply.

Rowan runs up to the jewelry section. "Oh my god, Blair wanna get matching rings."
I walk over to where he is "of course I do."
We look at a couple of different rings we find cute until I find a gold ring with half of a silver heart and a matching silver ring with a half of a gold heart.
"Rowan, look at these. "I pick up the rings and show them to him.
He takes them in his hands, observing them "I love them!" He squeals, literally squeals.
"Okay, let's get them," I state.
We walk up to the cash register, pay, and then get out of the store.
We start walking around the mall and going into different stores.
We soon walk by a store that has a bunch of different types of sunglasses and other accessories.
I have an idea.
"Rowan let's go in here " I grab his arm pull him into the store.
"What are we doing in-oh my god" the excitement in his voice is very noticeable.
I grab two pairs of sunglasses, I hand one to him and put on the other.
we then walk up to a mirror and take a picture.
"We look hot," Rowan says as he walks up to a table with multiple baseball caps.
He walks back with two hats "put this on" he hands me a white baseball cap.
I grab it and put it on as he puts on the grey one.
"We should get these. "I point to the glasses and the hats.
"Agreed".
Rowan walks up to the register and sets everything down.
I take out my card, and Rowan does as well. "I'll pay, " I say and take Rowan's card out of his hand and put it into his pocket.
"No, I will" He refuses.
Not this.
I tap my card on the machine way before he can take his back out.
"What the fuck Blair."
I don't respond to him; I grab the bags and walkout.
"I'm paying you back, and since you bought it, I'll hold it" he grabs the bags out of my hands.
We keep walking around for an hour until Rowan drags me into yet another store.
This time it's a dress store.
"We need to get something to wear for tomorrow" he walks up to the shelf's and rummages through them.
"I told you I have--"
"I don't care; we're both getting new outfits," he states.
I sigh "Fine".
Rowan looks through the dress shirts and pants while I look at dresses.
A couple of minutes later, he walks up to me holding a pair of clothes
"I found mine; let me help you."
I nod, and we both start looking through the multiple shelf's of dresses.
"What about these?" He holds up two dresses, one being a satin purple color that's mid-length and a large slit down the side, and the other is the same design but black.
Staring at them for a couple of minutes, I come to my decision
"They're cute, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they're my type of dresses."
He looks down at them before looking at me and then back to them "you know what, I agree."
I keep looking through the shelf's for what feels like hours, and I still cannot find anything.
I look up and notice that Rowan isn't anywhere to be seen.
I start looking around for Rowan walking along with the store until I feel someone tap my shoulder.
I turn around to face the person feeling a little startled.
I let out a breath when I notice that it's Rowan.
"Hey, sorry it's just me, but what about this one?" He holds up a dress.
my eyes go wide when I look at it; I glance up at Rowan, smiling "definitely."
