Numb.
Disgusted.
Shock.
Repulsed.
Those words and more could describe what Marinette was feeling right now.
Sick.
God, she wanted to throw up. She wanted to scrub herself completely. Scrub until her skin was red and clean and until she couldn't feel his skin on hers anymore.
Marinette also wanted to fall on her knees and just cry.
But right now, she was supposed to be Ladybug. Not that it matters, her mind whispered, When did you ever get what you want? As Ladybug or Marinette?
She ignored her thoughts, focusing on Plagg.
The kwami was shaking, his usual mischievous eyes were damp with tears. His breaths were uneven and he stuttered things out that Marinette couldn't decipher.
Plagg looked like he was on the verge of a panic attack.
Can kwamis even have panic attacks?
Before she could even think about it, she carefully wrapped her hands around him and brought him towards her chest.
For a few seconds, Plagg stopped stuttering. But it was quickly replaced with sniffling. Marinette stayed quiet and just hugged the kwami, giving him time to let it all out.
She could still feel Plagg shaking.
Her eyes strayed to the unconscious body on the floor.
Adrien Agreste.
Staring at him made her feel like an idiot. How come she didn't see it sooner? If she did she could've-
Tears threatened to fall down her cheeks and she tried to force them away.
This wasn't about her right now.
Plagg needed her.
She was being selfish.
She-
"I'm sorry."
Marinette looked at Plagg although he refused to look at her. He was still in her arms, staring at his paws.
"It's not your fault." Marinette softly said, "He-"
"NO!" Plagg interrupted, he floated up staring at her eyes and Marinette could see just how hurt he felt. "You don't understand-" He tried to say, "The things he said- the things he thought- it was disgusting. He had plans-" The kwami shivered and his eyes became unfocused, "Plans to do things to you. Plans to make you submit. Plans to..." the kwami trailed off, rubbing his paws together as his eyes were focused on the ground once more. "He had plans for you. As both Marinette and Ladybug."

Marinette was trying her hardest to stay calm. "Plagg." She heard herself say, voice firm. "It's been a tough night for both of us. Especially you." She paused, giving him time to float down her palm, "You need to rest. To take a break. I'll take care of this mess and we can talk."
Plagg looked like he wanted to protest but instead, he nodded. "Can I-"
She nodded, giving him the miraculous of destruction. Plagg stared at her with something she couldn't decipher before he tapped the miraculous and disappeared.
Marinette sighed.
What now?
She doesn't know what to do.
She doesn't know what to think.
This is a mess.
She forced herself to calm down, taking long deep breaths.
There was a plan.
She has a plan.
Master Fu was waiting for them and he'll take care of Adri- him.
All Marinette has to do was bring him to his shop.
She can do this.
He knows he messed up.
He's known it for a while but looking at Marinette-
He had to make it right.
Fu messed up by giving Adrien the miraculous.
He sensed his darkness.
His destruction.
And he didn't think to look any deeper. He was in a rush but that shouldn't have been an excuse.
Finding a decent candidate for the cat miraculous was difficult. He should've known for it to be too good to be true when Adrien-
He snapped himself out of his thoughts. There was no use in dwelling in the past.
At least not right now.
Marinette was sitting on a couch, a blanket wrapped around her. Normally, her eyes would be bright- full of determination. But right now, they were dull and unfocused.
She wrapped the blanket tighter against her as she began to shiver.
The sight made his heart break even more. Sometimes he forgot just how young she was.

Next to her were Tikki and Plagg, discussing something in hushed voices. Plagg gestured to Adrien and Tikki's eyes flashed with anger before she glanced at Marinette and nodded.
"What do I do now?" Marinette asked. "Do I continue fighting akumas by myself?" Marinette paused, "I think I can do it. Fight them by myself, I mean." she said. "Him being out of the picture will change nothing."
She was right.
"Just because it doesn't change anything doesn't mean you should do it by yourself." He told her gently.
"But what is the wielder is like-" Marinette stared at the unconscious body on the floor. "What if he's worse?" She met his eyes, "I don't think I can deal with it again." she admitted.
"You shouldn't have had to deal with it in the first place." Anger leaked in his voice, catching Marinette in surprise. He forced himself to calm down. Fu being mad is not what Marinette needed right now. "What I mean is that I made a mistake. One that I will correct." He told her, sincerity in his eyes, "Immediately."
Marinette didn't say anything but it looked like a weight was lifted off her shoulders.
"Thank you." she managed to whisper.
Fu only nodded. He didn't deserve her gratitude.

Deleted Scene:
Alya looked at the text she just received.
Marinette: it's over
Marinette: he's gone
Marinette: I don't have to deal with him anymore
Alya let out a sigh of relief. Marinette was going to be okay now. She didn't have to deal with that piece of shit anymore.
Alya's brown eyes narrowed before her mouth gleefully twisted upwards, tossing her phone on her bed. Marinette had done her job and now it was Alya's turn.
Her eyes quickly looked over the screen of her laptop before clicking publish.
Marinette made her wait until her plan was over. And now that it was-
Well.
Let's just say that Alya's not going to stop until Chat Noir was one of the most hated citizens of Paris.
She began to hear her phone buzzing and the smirk that took over her face would have been enough to frighten someone.
Look out, Adrien.
You're next.
Authors note:
Well...
Hello there. It's been a while, huh?
Almost a year?
Sorry about that. I kind of lost interest in miraculous. But luckily, I had an outline when I began to write this fic. And I finally forced myself to write this chapter...
I hope this chapter didn't suck.
But anyways, what do you think? If you have any suggestions or requests about this fic, leave them in a comment below. I love reading them.
I'll see y'all soon... hopefully.

Adventures of the Goldthirst Company
Get the quest, kill the monsters, grab the loot, don't die. How hard can adventuring be? When the party is a fashionista wizard who'd rather stare at her reflection than dirty herself with actual combat, a thief that picks locks by ripping them apart, a paladin trying to do the right thing, and an archer that's better at talking to plants than people, then even a simple quest can prove a challenge. Hired for a variety of tasks, from retreiving the legendary Dragon's Veil to bodyguarding the wealthy, thwarting apocalyptic prophecies, or uncovering not-so-abandoned elven ruins, the problems in their way may well prove their undoing; lonesome medusas, sticky-fingered psychopomps, agressively passive golems and fearsomely violent geography stand in their way, as well as the minor issue of simply not actually trusting, or even liking, each other! Releases twice weekly, generally Tuesday and Friday (Art by Sin Soppitt)
8 1028The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.
8 73RE: Choice
Misaka is a shy misunderstood 16-year-old boy in his first year of high school in Japan. His parents wanted him to be a girl, so they gave him a girl's name. He grew up being bullied and ostracized by his peers. In junior high, he developed a crush on a girl in another school who greeted him with a smile. Later, he found out the girl's name was Lucy and applied to the high school she was going to. One year later, he musters up the courage to confess his feelings for her only to find out that she was the wrong girl all along. Suddenly, a piano falls on top of him and he dies.He finds himself in front of one that calls himself God. He takes pity on Misaka and bestows him with the name Durrendal. He gives him another chance at life in another world and lets him pick a power of his choosing to take into the world. Story is going to be heavy reader interactive. Expect short frequent chapters. One chapter every few days. Two per week minimum. If I feel like it, more than that.Your choices WILL influence the story. It determines whether you get a game over (may discover new information), go around in circles never advancing the story, or advancing the story. Consequences of certain actions will shift Durrendal toward evil or good. The default personality of Durrendal may be ""pervy"" but depending on the actions that he takes it can be reversed. Think of the character as a game character. You are playing a game. It does not require that you make an account to vote. So screw around or advance the story? It's up to you.

Talking with a self declared God, who apparently doesn't care at all, spring much more questions than answers, so the adventure begin. This is my first attempt (highlight on attempt) to write and I'm not a native speaker, so sorry in advance for any mistake and hope it will be interesting. The cover and the, hopefully, future maps are generated by: topps.diku.dk/torbenm/maps.msp
