3rd person pov
y/n walks down the street now noticing how dark it had gotten. the sun barley visible as street lights illuminate the roads. she continues to walk down the road checking every ally to find the most secluded. after around 10 minuets of walking she finds a short dead end ally way that is small and hidden.
Y/n walks down the alleyway to the back sitting down in the corner. due to the amount of light pollution she could easily read the papers in her hand. the papers from school gave her the time of the school day and when. Y/n started on tuesday at 8 o'clock.this gave her the day tomorrow to get prepared but first she had to get some money but that is a problem for future y/n. bored again the assassin pulls out her phone.

clints pov
natasha had been smiling at her phone to much recently it was starting to get creepy. when i saw her walk into the living room i hoped up into the vents waiting until the right moment just as she looked up from her phone i saw that smirk. i jumped down from the vents landing behind her i grab nats phone and bolt, hoping to escape most of her fury. i run down the hall and into my room locking the door. i knew it wouldn't take long for her to pick so i had to work fast. i opened her most recent messages sending the number to my phone. i hear the door click, wanting to talk to the reason of nats smiling i jump into the vent scurrying down while texting the number.

i get into the vents after opening the door to clints room and him not being there. i notice him a few feet ahead of me my phone screen illuminating his face. he better not be texting the kid.i sneak up behind him putting clint into a headlock. he squeaks dropping my phone. i snatch it from in front of him to see what he did.
'you didn't' i say unamused
' i did and they are amazing' he gushes
'u lonely man child' i say smirking but still quite annoyed. i hop out of the vent clint following after me and we make our way to the living room.
y/ns pov
well that was strange i think to myself. but when i look up from my phone i see bright headlights parking in front of my ally. a short woman steps out of the car. it is now 1030 so i dont know why anyone would be driving now. that is until th woman comes up to me.
'y/o/n?' the woman questions 'i thought you were still in russia' that's when i recognise this woman the filipino woman standing in front of me as my old case worker from before the red room.
'm-ms jamison' she nods putting a hand out for me to grab. i smile and accept it allowing myself to be pulled up. 'uh the blakey's decided they didnt want me so they sent me back here 3 days ago' y/n trusted this woman a lot she was always on her side after a bad placement.
'you have been out here for 3 days, why didnt you call me??' she asks walking back to her car, i follow.
'i lost my old phone' i reply wanting the subject to change.
'get in ill have to take you to home with me tonight than we can find you a home tomorrow okay'
'y-yeah okay' i'm slightly afraid of this new home but i get in the black SUV and with that we begin our way back to her apartment.
we arrived at her place. ms jamison lead me to a spare room i commonly stayed t after a bad home and i relaxed as soon as my head hit the pillow. ms jamison smiled and closed the door .a lot had happpend today was the last coherent thought i thought before drifting off into sleep.

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The Consensus said that it would let us interact with our neighbors in a controlled setting. That it would teach us to be better members of the galactic community. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse. Born in an arcology, she was assigned a job in the megacorporation that raised her almost as soon as she could work. Despite the stability of her corporate life, she wanted something more. A chance to claw her way up the rigid social and financial ladder to make something of herself. A chance that wouldn’t come naturally to someone as familiar with dark alleyways and the glint of steel as she was with office work and corporate niceties.Book One is up on Kindle Unlimited as of 7/6/22 - https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B0B2X3L8H5

To Cross the Threshold
What would one do, when a star crashes into the Earth? Die, of course! Except, in Joseph's case, it was all wrong. He met face-to-face with the Light, got the program forced into his brain, and woke up far, far away from his small insignificant hometown, in the ethereal endless void, full of stars and vigour, guns and loot, Daemons and Skills! From there on out, he got volunteered into the crew of the Morning Star, the pirate ship he was unfortunate enough to stumble upon. With a tree for the Captain, a dragoncat for the Quartermaster, and a human, equal in height and width, as the Cook, he sets sail across the mysterious and hostile Threshold, filled with fierce abominations, rich Ghosts, and patriotic soldiers from the Glorious Metal Empire, all to figure out what the Light has brought upon his Earth that day, and to find his way back home. Warning - English is not my first language, so I apologize in advance for any inconsistencies and grammar mistakes. Please, do point them out when you find some. Updates three days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday. This book is about the slice-of-life-ish lighthearted adventures of Joseph and Co. Just one long bumpy road, inspired by old-school RPGs.

The blue Astrum of memories
Some of you believe in fate and some of you don't. That's ok in our world. In the world that I created Fate has been acting strange and selfish for a long time. She was always fascinated with humans and the fact that they had soulmates because a lot of other races didn't. Ever since humans started traveling through space, that opened millions of new opportunities for Fate to make the human soulmates meet. However, because of her strange behaviour Fate made too many mistakes. After that, Fate made what she thought, was a good move. What she didn't count on was that the good move she made knew that you can cheat fate. One and his crew don't know how ironic it is that she chose them to make her good move. ------------------------------- I didn't use any movies, books or series for inspiration the story is my original work. This is just the result of my weird imagination and brain telling me what to write. I hope you liked it :) It’s just a story, like all of my other stores. It doesn’t have a deeper spiritual, moral or ethical meaning.
