Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. Howard's Growth
In the not too distant future, the concrete of a new world has been laid to replace the dying Earth of old. In this world, one must provide value or perish in ignominy. Howard Manfield, like most pawns, fashions himself a king of his realm. Presiding over the corporatized dominion of genetic engineering, Howard was yet haunted by memories unknown to him. Awaking in a cold sweat to the dank smell of his own breath, his mind turning to the darkness from which it had emerged. In truth that was what he remembered most, it was more the substance of absence more than any meaningful presence on a color spectrum. It would not be until the first and last of his fated 'finding quests' that Howard Manfield would learn his place among his memories.

Mysterious vanishings, supernatural forces, and silence warns of a looming threat inside the coat of fog. Though the struggle of the realms did not interest Leor, for he was condemned as a Purblight, until he took a seemingly simple job: escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward, a reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denounced the Gods. All his life, death followed Leor everywhere he went, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of an agent of light, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice promised him a chance for retribution and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. Thrown into the realm's struggle against the approaching haze and themselves, will Leor, a Purblight and an acquaintance of tragedy, use the very power he disdains to accomplish his goals? This is the rewrite of my novel: Condemned; I changed it to past tense and added/ took out some ideas from the original. This is essentially the first draft since I'm writing as I go. Also, there might be or might not be Gore, Sexual, or Traumatizing content. I only put it there for a disclaimer in case I want to add it. I have no set release schedule yet, but I'll try to post once every 2 week. Thanks for your patience.

Nama asliku adalah Armil Zefrana. Aku berasal dari Negara asia, di Indonesia. Tapi suatu hari aku nyasar kedunia lain dan berusaha untuk kembali pulang kedunia asliku. Tapi aku pun sudah bisa menyimpan dunia yang ku datangi aku tidak pernah sampai ke dunia asliku. Kita telah banyak dunia-dunia yang telah ku datangi. Lihat itu dunia modern, memiliki negara-negara yang sama dan teknologi yang sama, itu bukan dunia asliku. Aku sama sekali tak menggali dunia yang mana ada ada riwayat kehidupanku. Dan pada akhirnya aku menyerah untuk kembali pulang keduniaku. Apa yang telah kulakukan dalam perjalanan antar dunia lebih menyenangkan dari pada pulang dan melakukan hal-hal normal. Aku juga paham jika aku pulang tidak akan ada lagi yang namanya kekuatan besar seperti yang kurasakan. Ini seperti aku selalu ada di dunia khayalan, meski sudah ratusan tahun aku menjalaninya. Juga tentang dunia tempat aku dicampakkan. Aku juga merasa itu bukan dunia asliku. Karena selama disana aku juga merasakan kekuatan aneh dari diriku, jadi aku mengganggap diriku sendiri tidak normal. Ya, aku tidak ingin kembali ke dunia asliku. .
