Jacob was asleep in his bed the last time I went to check on him. I was awaiting whose fingerprints were on Izza's jean jacket. No weapon was found yet. I was sitting alone in the living room thinking what the heck am I gonna do. I was worried for Jacob.
I sighed, continuing to think of my brother possibly committing a murder. It's been a couple days since Izza's death. Until I heard the doorbell ring and I stood up from the couch and walked my way up to the door. It was Detective James, and his partner Evan.
I opened the door. Everyone who knows me in this town I pretty much get along with them. I was also friends with the police by my father who was also a police officer. They first heard about my father and my mother. Now they're gonna also hear about Jacob. "Hey, Ryan, you know what to do, right?" Detective James asked.
He and I are good friends, even my father knew him as well. "Yeah, come in." Until Jacob heard us from downstairs, and Detective James and Evan had entered my house and asked me where Jacob was.
"I will go get him.," I said, walking up the steps. I sighed, and knocked on Jacobs' bedroom door.
******
"Yeah?" Jacob asked. "Jacob come on out, the detectives are here to ask you a few questions." Jacob swallowed hard, he sighed and okayed me.
When Jacob opened the door, I just looked at my little brother like I knew he was scared. "Come on, I will be in the room with you." Jacob sighed, and walked out of his room. He was dressed. Until Jacob noticed the detectives and they looked suspicious. I followed Jacob from behind.

"So, I was walking my way into the woods, and that's when I saw Izza."
"Okay," Detective James was writing down some notes.
"You told your brother that Izza texted you telling you she was in trouble. What did she mean by that?"
******
Jacob sighed, looking at me, then facing back at Detective James. "She told me she was in trouble and after that, I texted her back asking her where she was, that's it."
"She didn't say who was hurting her? Or why was she in trouble?"
"No," Jacob replied back, shaking his leg nervously.
Detective James sighed, continuing to write down some notes. Jacob then remembered that Izza told him that she was pregnant. "What?" I asked, softly.
"When?" Detective James asked.
"Um...."
*****
I interrupted Jacob. "You told me you guys were going on a date." Jacob sighed, "I'm sorry, but I lied," Jacob said, looking at me. I sighed, standing up from the couch, and I crossed my arms. "Okay, um, I think that is all I have to say. Here is my card if you have anything else to say.
If I am not available, you can always leave a voicemail and I will try my best to get back with you." Jacob sighed, understanding. Detective James softly smiled. He stood up from the couch and so did Jacob and Detective Evan. I walked their way out of my house, and they told me to have a nice day.
"I'm sorry, I should have told you about Izza being pregnant," Jacob explained, feeling badly.
I turned, and sighed. "I-I um, no worries about it. I just um, I think I can handle it." Jacob understood, shaking his head. "Won't you go get some breakfast, if you want me to make you some eggs, and bacon, I can always do that for you." Jacob smiled, shaking his head once again.

"I will just get something else. It's almost lunch time anyways," Jacob said, heading towards the kitchen. Pregnant? Izza never looked like she was. But why would Jacob want to keep the pregnancy a secretarial?
I mean it's not like I am gonna punish him, I could have, but he doesn't need to worry about it now, Izza is now up in heaven with God, I really felt bad for her family.
*****
The funeral ended about an hour ago, and now Jacob and I were at the gathering honoring Izza's death. Jacob sighed, and was talking to David who was also at the funeral. I was talking to Izza's mother, Mrs. Miller, who was raising Izza on her own as a single mother.
"If there's anything you need, you know where to find me," I spoke. Mrs. Miller, smiled, and thanked me. I walked up to Jacob, as he was still talking to David. I wanted to see how he was holding up.
"Are you okay?" I asked. Jacob didn't look sad at all.
But for David, as Jacob was talking to him, he looked like he was suspicious of him. "Izza was a good friend," Jacob said. I chuckled, "Yeah, I know she was." I glanced over at David, and he softly smiled. "I miss Izza," Jacob said. "She was a great girlfriend to me."
I laughed nervously softly about how Jacob was just kinda acting like a fool. I noticed he had been drinking.
*****
I frowned, grabbing a bottle of beer, and how Jacob ended up with alcohol at the funeral. "Are you kidding me?" I softly asked. People were looking at us and talking behind our back. I grabbed Jacob by the arm and marched my way out of Izza's house. Jacob was a little drunk, and I was straightening him out.
Then a couple of minutes later, Detective James walked up to us and he noticed Jacob and I arguing.
"Jacob Morgan, please turn around and put your hands behind your back," Detective James said, pulling out the handcuffs.
"What?" I asked, in confusion. I just looked at Jacob. People inside were noticing what was happening. Even Mrs. Miller? who I have been friends with since I met Izza for the very first time. "Put your hands behind your back please, Mr. Morgan." I sighed, chuckling.
Jacob turned and he crossed his arms and hands together behind his back. "Jacob Morgan, you're under arrest for the murder of Izza Miller. You have the right to remain silent. Anything that you say can be used against you in a court of law." Jacob started walking up to the police car and he got inside of it.
I didn't know what was going on, until a click in my mind that Jacob is possibly committed for murder. I sighed, and I immediately went for my car.I cranked up the engine and I followed the police to the police station. Jacob was brought into the interrogation room. He didn't want to speak until I was in the room with him.
