Y/N POV:

It's been a few years. Peaches is pretty much a grown up, though she's still young. She's getting married to the sweetest guy on earth, after Buck of course. I used tell her all the stories of the crazy weasel Buck that she never really got to know. She had told me her plans of moving away when she had gotten married to Julian, but she had begged me not to tell anyone. I hadn't but I also said that if she doesn't say it soon, I'll tell her. So I put a little bit of pressure on her.

But right now, the focus was on Ellie. This was her and Mannys wedding anniversary. We had been planning for months with Ellie and everything was set up so beautiful. Though Manny hadn't given Ellie her gift yet, which was very concerning.

-Manny just say that you forgot! I say.

-I didn't forget! It's on its way still! Manny says and everyone takes a breath. Suddenly fireworks explode in the sky and he convinced me.

-Nice save guys! I whisper to them as I stare in awe at the sight. The party moves along and I walk around with Ellie and Manny. We get to Peaches and Julian and just talk with them for a while.

-Oh it's so nice that you're so cool with me and peaches moving away after the wedding! Julian expresses and me and Peaches freeze.

-Ahaha, honey I hadn't told them about that yet, Peaches say awkwardly.

-What do you mean you're moving? Ellie asks.

-Yeah well aunt Y/N is fine with it! Peaches says and blames me.

-You knew about this? And you didn't tell me!? Ellie asks.

-Wh- hey she asked me to keep it secret! I say. An argument breaks out in between us all, I try to calm everyone down, while Manny is overreacting and Ellie is taking a middle ground.

-Uh guys... should the fireworks be getting this close? Sid asks and points to the sky. Suddenly a meteor hits right beside the party venue.

-Ok everyone clear out! Find somewhere with a roof over your heads! I shout as people escape the venue. The whole herd run together towards a cave.

-Was your plan a meteor shower!? What a nice wedding day gift! Ellie scolds Manny.

-He didn't have an idea, this was just a coincidence! I shout.

-how did you know? Manny shouts back.

-I didn't, but I thought it, I say.

-You forgot our wedding day? Ellie asks hurt.

-Can we please not talk about this now? Diego and Shira asks. We get to the cave and we hide together.

It turns quiet after a while. Sid walks to the opening of the cave.

-Hey guys I think it's over! Sid says. Then right as he says that, a meteor falls right by the opening, burning his whole front side and giving him nipples. I want to laugh but the near death experience made my clutch my leaf necklace tighter than ever. We all slowly walk out of the cave and I find Crash and Eddie in the back.

-Are you ok? I ask.

-Yeah, Crash says.

-We think so, Eddie finishes and we get out on the big field. Weird space stones have scattered around and burned holes in hills and trees. The whole place looked like a cheese. There is even a hole in the ground with smoke coming from it. A roar comes from it and I clutch my necklace as we walk towards it. Manny walks towards the edge and yells.

-Hello?

A shadow comes from the light leaking through and Manny yells and steps back. I gasp at the noises coming from the hole. Shadows of claws and sounds of something climbing up the hole are showing and I'm terrified.

But a familiar face shows through...

-Buck.... I whisper.

-Oh! Hello mammals! He says.

-Hello Buck! Eddie says and waves.

-Hello! Buck says and let's go of how sword which was the only thing keeping him up so he disappears again. I cover my hands with my mouth. My heart starts beating fast.

-Bye Buck! Crash then says. A rope comes back up and goes around the sword.

-A little help please? Buck says and Manny grabs a hold of it and drags him up. Well, he throws up a huge pole, Buck following after and hitting his head pretty good on it, before falling off. He groans.

-Right on the spleen! Totally useless but totally hurts, he whines.

-Buck! I shout and run towards him. He spots me and greets me with open arms and a smile on his face. I hop onto him and hug him, making us roll over multiple times.

-Ugh, my spleen, he wheezes.

-Oh, sorry, sorry, I say and lean up on my hands. He looks up at me and I look down on him. He just stares at me.

-Wow... he says.

-What? I ask self consciously.

-You're just as beautiful as the last time I saw you, he says. I smile and hug him tighter then ever.

-And you grew a beard, I say, making him laugh.

-Hey Buck! Diego starts and I help him up.

-Welcome back buddy, Diego says.

-wait, this half-a-snack is the dinosaur whisperer? Shira asks.

-And excellent salsa dancer, Buck adds and dances around.

-Whoo! I have one eye but all my original teeth. Would you like to count them? Buck says and gapes his mouth.

-Ok Buck, that's good, I stop him and pet his shoulder.

-And this must be Nectarine! Buck says and turn to my niece.

-Buck, it's Peaches, I remind him.

-Semantics, my dear, I am deeply honored, Buck says and bows.

-Sweet eye patch, very gangsta! Julian compliments.

-Thank you, Buck says.

-I like this kid, he says and turns to me.

-Buck, Manny says.

- What are you doing here? Ellie asks.

-Well Uh, long story, he says and then looks nervously at me. I stare back with worries eyes.

-How do you tell someone they're doomed? He asks.

-What do you mean doomed? I ask panicked.

-We're not doomed, Buck. It was just a meteor shower, and the show's over, Manny says.

-Oh, quite the contrary, old chap, it's just beginning, you see, I found a prophecy, Buck says and walks up to the big stone pole that flew up from the hole in the ground. I follow after.

-I read this tablet front to back. And the story it tells is very disturbing. Every hundred million years or so, the world gets a cosmic cleansing.

Before the dinosaurs, there were these horseshoe crab-looking thingies. Then, at the bottom of this mountain range, an asteroid hit.

Boom! Bye-bye. Next, dinosaurs, mountain range, asteroid. Boom! Bye-bye. And coming up next, mammals. Mountain range, asteroid, boom! Bye-bye, Buck shows us and I look at it. Again, and again, and again.

-Stupid mammals, Eddie laughs

-Eddie that's us, I say, not ripping my eyes off of the pole for a second. Eddie gasps.

-Yep, and there she is, Buck says and I turn around to the big asteroid he's pointing at.

-The mother of all asteroids screaming towards us. Even going underground won't save us this time, Buck says and looks at me. I look to him and gulp.

-Hey, that wasn't there before, Diego says.

-And look what it's doing to the sky, Manny says.

-No worries, because I've got a plan! Buck says triumphantly.

-Really? To stop an asteroid? I ask him.

-Look, the last two asteroids have pummeled the earth in the same spot, and it's about to happen again, Buck says and rips out one of the stone plates from the pole.

-We've got to go there and see what's attracting

the asteroid, Buck says and points to the mountain range on the stone and then to the identical mountain across the land.

-Once we know why it's coming...we can figure out how to send it somewhere else, Buck says and takes my hand. I just purse my lips.

-That plan is so dumb, I wish it had a face so I could smack it, Sid's Gramma says.

-Let me get this straight... Instead of running away from a deadly asteroid... you want us to run directly towards it? Peaches asks.

- I know it sounds suboptimal, but the good news is... it'll kill us no matter where we went, Buck says and I roll my eyes as anxiety creeps onto me.

-Well, that's reassuring, Manny says sarcastically.

-Okay, but even if we get to the crash site...

how are we supposed to change what is literally written in stone? Shira asks.

-Ah, my cynical friend. The dinos were wiped off the face of the Earth, but some escaped.

They changed their fate and we can change ours, too, Buck says hopefully.

-Who's with me? He asks. We all turn quiet. Ellie waves me over and we form a circle.

-So, what do you think? Ellie asks.

-Honestly, I'm worried the weasel's right, Manny says.

-I am still here guys come on! I say.

-No! Don't listen to the weasel, he's a raving loon! Buck butts in with a high pitched voice. I look at him and he gets eye contact with me and then he smiles sheepishly.

-Sorry. I just love playing devil's advocate... And looking fabulous! He jokes and waves his waist around and I giggle slightly through my anxiety and he smiles.

-Well, Buck has saved our lives before, right? Ellie asks.

-But what if he can't this time? Manny asks.

-I don't know what to believe. But I'm afraid our lives will be over before they even begin, Peaches says.

-Hey listen guys, I trust Buck with my life, even though he is a crazy maniac, he is incredibly smart and resourceful and will do what he can to save us. He saved my sister as she was giving birth, I say and look at Ellie and Peaches.

-And I trust he would do it again, no questions asked, I say and look at Buck.

-Okay... I guess we're in, Manny says.

-Crash and Eddie, reporting for duty! Crash says and they both salute. Eddie then snickers.

-Doody, he says and they both start hysterically laughing.

-Excellent! And dirty word processed, Buck says.

-Now, we better get on the road because time till impact is roughly... 2 days, 4 hours,

1 minute and 16 seconds. 15 seconds, 14 seconds, Buck starts counting down.

-I think we get it, Manny says.

-I think we're all gonna get it, Shira says.

We start moving towards the mountain range together and I nervously wring my hands in front of me. Suddenly Buck runs up to me.

-Hello pretty lady. It's been a while since we last met, he flirts. I smile a bit.

-Yeah... just sucks that it's under these circumstances, I say.

-That is true. But on the contrary, there's no one else I'd rather spend my last living moment with, than you, he says and I blush and push him.

-Stop, I smile.

-There's that smile. So anything interesting at all happened since last? He asks.

-Well... I almost got kidnapped by pirates... almost drowned. Other then that, no, I say.

-Pirates? Oh you must tell me more. Just one question, have you ever had a, let's say, romantic bond with someone? He asked suspiciously.

-Are you kidding? No way. You're the only weasel for me, I say.

-Ah, that's reassuring to hear. Now tell me about that pirate story, he says, completely invested in what I have to tell. So I start telling the story to him, and he listens better than anyone else I've ever known.
