Y/N POV:

I didn't know what had happened. Me, my incredibly annoying younger brother and my two cousins were just in the guest room and now we were in water. And I'm not talking small lake, I am talking huge ocean-like body of water. As I was the oldest out of us four, I swam quickly up to the surface and start yelling their names.

-Edmund! Eustace! Lucy? I yell. Soon enough their heads pops out of the water and I sigh in relief. Eustace on the other hand is just screaming. I swim closer to my two cousins.

-What is going on? I ask them over Eustace's yelling. They can't seem to answer over his loud shrieks.

-Oh Eustace, shut your pie trap, would ya? I ask him and he looks offended at me. Then suddenly I hear:

-Man overboard!

I turn and there was a big majestic ship, and not like anything you would find in London at the moment. I gasp in surprise, before a man grabs my arm and helps me safely get onto a swing like contraption that lifts me onto the boat. As I get up I immediately look down to help my cousins and my shrieking brother onboard safely, before gladly receiving a blanket. I shudder a bit before I actually take a good look around me. And not only was there humans on board, but many mythological creatures I've only seen badly drawn pictures of in books. I smile in awe.

-Caspian! I can hear my younger cousin, Lucy, shout and I turn as she hugs a tall man. Edmund does the same. I can only look at him. If I may, I would say that he looks just as, if not more, majestic than the boat we were on. He looks at me with a surprised stare.

-Caspian, this is our older cousin; Y/N, Edmund introduces me. I wiggle my hand out from under the blanket and out towards him. He smiles and takes it, shaking it firmly before talking.

-King Caspian, he says before letting go.

-Excu-Excuse me, king? I ask baffled. He looks with furrowed brows at my cousins.

-Yeah Y/N, this is uh... This is the place we've been telling you about. Narnia, Lucy explains. My face lights up.

-Oh! Ooooohhhhh! That Narnia- I mean, this is Narnia? I ask. They all nod.

-You seem surprised, child, a bald man comes up to me and says.

-Well, I wouldn't say I'm a child, I am almost 20 years old now, I correct. The man looks impressed at me.

-But yeah, I'd say I'm pretty surprised. I mean I always wanted to believe that it was real but I could've never imagined... this, I say and mention to everything around me. Then I look back at the king in front of me.

-Oh, sorry your majesty, where are my manners? I say and courtesy the best I can in my drenched clothes. He laughs a bit.

-Don't worry, just call me Caspian, he says and I stand back up.

-We'll I am not of royal descent like they are. Isn't that common courtesy? I ask, referring to the shelves upon shelves of fairytales I've read. He looks wondering at me, then at my cousins.

-She has read a few books in our time and Y/N, I think it's a bit different here than in your books, Edmund snickers and I turn red.

-Well how would I have known that? I ask embarrassed. But luckily people did not get to stare for long before my brother was shrieking again.

-Get this thing off of me! Eustace yells, before a large ball of fur comes rolling towards us.

-Reepicheep! Lucy says happily. The ball of fur turn out to be... a large mouse.

-Blimey... I whisper under my breath.

-Oh, hello there your majesties, the mouse bows his head. I smile like a child on Christmas morning.

-What a pleasure, Edmund says.

-We'll the pleasure's all mine sir, Reepicheep answers.

-But first, what do we do with this hysterical little boy? He asks. I snicker a bit, making the crew look at me and I cover my mouth and excuse myself. I see from the corner of my eyes that king Caspian is trying to hold back a laugh.

-That giant rat was trying to rip my face off! Eustace shouts.

-I was merely trying to expel the water from your lungs sir, Reepicheep comments.

-It talked! Did you see that? It talked! Eustace says and I rolls my eyes.

-We'll of course he talks, this is Narnia! I say, reminding him of all the stories that our cousins have told us. Reepicheep turns to me.

-I don't believe we've met before, but I like you, young lady, he says. I kneel down and extend my hand.

-Y/N Scrubb, nice to meet you, I say.

-Reepicheep, but please call me Reep, he says and shakes my large hand in his two big ones.

-See? He did it again, Eustace yells.

-I want to wake up right now! He yells.

-Eustace, calm down, I say annoyed.

-Perhaps we can throw him back? Reep asks and I smile.

-Please don't, mother would be furious, I comment as Eustace continues blabbering on.

-I demand that you tell me where we are, right now! Eustace orders the crew. A large Minotaur walks forward.

-You are on the dawn treader, he says and Eustace faints. Everyone laughs. The Minotaur looks back at everyone.

-Was it something I said? He asks innocently.

I walk up to him to make sure that my brother is alright. And so does king Caspian.

-Make sure he is alright, will you? Caspian asks.

-Yes your majesty, the Minotaur says.

-Could you please do that more often? I ask as he picks up my brother and walks down into the boat. Caspian let's put a laugh but quickly stops as he sees everyone looking at him.

Then I turn to king Caspian speaking.

-Behold our castaways. Edmund the just, and Lucy the valiant. High king and queen of Narnia, he announces. Everyone bows down and I do the same. When I look up I walk over to them and hit them both on the arm harshly.

-You never told me you were kings and queens!? What bloody more lies were you telling me? I ask upset and they laugh slightly at me.

Later:

I was given new, fresh, dry clothes, before Lucy came barging into the room I was in and dragged me with her. I was given a loose fitting shirt with a very fancy vest on top and a pair of very sturdy pants. We meet Edmund and king Caspian in the hallway of the quarters and king Caspian as well as the captain looks wondering at me.

-Is she coming with us sir? The captain asks his king.

-Oh please? I promised her that I would show her everything is she ever came with. Please? Lucy asks. I smile sweetly and flutter my eyes. King Caspian chuckles.

-Sure she can, king Caspian says.

-Yay! Lucy cheers and we follow him into a large room. We all look around for a bit. Edmund and Lucy both smile fondly and I stare at all the wooden details in awe.

-Aslan... Lucy say and touches a carving of a lion on the wall.

-Aslan? Is that the- the friend you were telling me about? I ask and walk up beside her. She looks at me and nods. Then she heads to the other side of the room.

-Look, Susan's bow and arrows, Lucy says.

-Susan wielded a bow and arrow? I ask in surprise.

-She was the best, Caspian confirms. I look at him and smile.

-Wow, I comment. Then he turns around and picks up something.

-Lucy, he says.

-My healing cordial, and dagger, she says fondly and is about to take them but hesitates.

-May I? She asks.

-They're yours, aren't they? Caspian asks and Lucy happily takes them from him.

-Peters sword! Edmund says and walks over to it.

-Yes. Looked after as promised, Caspian says and hands it to him.

-No I couldn't, it's yours. Peter gave it to you, Edmund says. Caspian grins cheekily.

-I did save this for you though, Caspian says and throws something to Edmund, who catches it expertly. I laugh a bit when I realize what he has been given.

-Is that your torch? I ask. Edmund looks sheepishly at me.

-It's still works, he says as he flicks it on and off.

-And you young lady, the captain addresses me.

-Yes captain? I ask.

-What weapon do you us win combat? He asks.

-None that I know of. But I wouldn't mind trying my luck with that arrow, I comment and Caspian chuckles.

-I am afraid that's a royal heirloom, the captain says.

-Oh... we'll how does this royal thing work then? I mean I am older than Susan by 3 months so, I try, making everyone in the room chuckle.

-I am afraid not missy. But I do believe Reepicheep wouldn't mind giving you some sword lessons. In this world you never know when you're gonna need it, the captain says. I smile happily.

-How exactly are you related again? Caspian asks from behind me and I turn.

-We're cousins, Edmund says. I smile.

-But if you're older, how come you got here? Caspian asks. I shrug.

-I don't know. But if I got to choose, I would never go back home, I say.

-The reason he's asking is because Susan wasn't allowed to come back since they were getting older. But since you are in between their age, how come you got to come here? Lucy says. I look concerned at everyone in the room.

-Susan... isn't coming back? I ask.

-I'm afraid not madam, the captain says.

-But I... that makes absolutely no sense... I grubble to myself. It turns quiet before someone clears their throat.

-You must excuse us miss, we have some planning to do that I am afraid you are not a part of, the captain says.

-Oh I'm sorry, don't let me disturb you. I'll just hop onto deck and enjoy the breeze, I say and walk over to the doors.

-Thank you, I bow and close the doors before I leave.

As I get up on deck I head to the nearest crew member and tap them on the shoulder.

-Excuse me, but where would a good place to sit by the boats edge be? I ask.

-Right over there madam, he answers and points over to the head of the boat. I nod and thank him before I head up there, climbing the stairs and sitting down on the head.

-Now this is going to sound absolutely and utterly ridiculous of me, I murmur to myself and fiddle with my hands in my lap. I look around just to make sure no one could hear me.

-Aslan, why... Why did I get to come here, but Susan couldn't come back? I ask, hoping to get an answer. But I get no sign. No lion running over the water like Jesus Christ. No whisper in my ear, no leaves leading my way. So I decide to wait.

-Don't worry. I'll wait for my answer if I have to, I say and look out expectantly over the ocean as I sigh.

-Oh sorry, am I disturbing you m'lady? I hear a voice. I turn around and it's Reep.

-Hi Reep, no you're not disturbing anything. Care to join me? I ask. Reep takes the invite and immediately climbs up on the edge of the dragons nose of which I'm sitting at.

-What's troubling you my friend? He asks.

-I'm just confused as to why I'm here and not Susan. Because apparently she had other thing going for her but... me? I don't know, I say.

-So you asked Aslan for help? Reep asks.

-Yeah, I blush.

-There's no wrong in that m'lady! Aslan is here to help, and I bet you my left pinky toe that you'll get it before this journey is done! Reep cheers me up. I giggle.

-Thanks Reep, I say.

Caspian POV:

As I come up onto deck I see my men, all working for the boat. As my eyes watch over the boat I see her, the majesties cousin. She's sitting on the side of the boat, having a conversation with Reep and a few of my men. They told her old pirate stories from their days at sea, and she listened with every part of her mind. She was a curious girl and apparently read a lot of books. She seemed so interested in our world that I thought I had missed being a part of it myself. She was so fascinated by the little things and it made me swell inside. She really wanted to be a part of the stories she had read in her books and it made me think even harder about what the captain had said. Why was she allowed here but Susan wasn't... it really made no sense. But I guess Aslan has a plan of his own.

Lucy stands beside me.

-You fancy her, don't you? She asks.

-What? I ask.

-You fancy Y/N, my cousin, Lucy says.

-No I do not, I scoff dramatically.

-First our sister, then our cousin. Are you going lie any further or are you going to confess, Edmund teases.

-I am not lying, I lie.

-Oh c'mon you stare at her the same way you stared at Susan, Lucy says. And maybe she was right. Maybe I did. I look back at Y/N and she looks my way. We lock eyes and she smiles, nodding ever so slightly at me. I smile.

Goddamnit I hate when the small ones are right.

I walk over to Y/N with an idea and a theory in mind.

-Gentlemen, I greet and they greet back. Y/N does as well.

-Y/N May I borrow you for a moment? I ask. She looks shocked at me but nods anyway. She follows me as we walk back down under the deck and into the small library we have. She walks warily into the room, as though she would break something. I smile to myself as I look through the rows of books for the specific book I had in mind. I finally find it and take it out of the shelf. I turn around and she is carefully looking at a shelf of artifacts from the narnian mainland. I clear my throat and she turns around swiftly.

-Here, I say and reach the book towards her. She looks confused but takes it anyways. She reads the front cover and looks at me.

-A... magic book? She asks confused.

-Yeah. Since you seemed interested in books I thought maybe you could give magic a shot? I've tried them but they never really worked the way I wanted them to, I say.

-Oh but your majesty I couldn't take one of your books, she says astonished.

-Of course you can. It's a gift from me to you, I say.

-Oh thank you so much your majesty! I will take good care of it! She says and bows quickly before gleefully running up to deck with the book tightly to her chest. As I follow slowly I can't help but to feel content with myself.

-And you say you don't fancy her, Reep says from beside me and I can only grin.

-Ok maybe a little bit, BUT-
