Y/N POV:
I just got the news that Namaari came back again from spine, to find Raya. I run down the stairs giddily to greet her, but see a deeply upset Namaari instead. She walks past me without a word and I become worried for her.
-Namaari what happened? I ask as I walk after her up the stairs again.
-I don't wanna talk about it, she says sadly as she keeps stomping up the stairs.
-Dis you catch Raya and Sisu? I ask. I don't get an answer. As we get to the hallway with our rooms, I catch up to her and put my hand on her shoulder gently. She turns quickly towards me, and She grabs my arm tightly. I whisper slightly. Fear strikes me as rage filled her eyes. Then she softens up and let go of my hand.
-I'm sorry Y/N, I just... I need to be alone, she says sadly, and walks into her room shamefully and closes her door. I catch my breath. Never have I seen her this upset. Sure she can get moody and grumpy from time to time. But never upset. At least not like this. I sigh and rub my wrist as it starts becoming red from the motion. I decide to make her more of those snacks she liked. Yeah.... That's a good idea, I smile to myself and head down to the kitchens.
Later:
It's already dark and the torches around the palace are lit. I walk carefully upstairs and knock on Namaaris door.
-Uh, come in, she says hastily. I open the door and she's standing by her window. I smile a bit at her as I close the door behind me.
-How are you? I ask. She smiles for a second.
-Better now. Thanks, she answers. I smile and hand her a new hand made box of hand made snacks.
-I knew you liked them so I figured I'd make some more, I say and shrug sheepishly as she receives the package confused.
-Thanks... are you ok? She asks and takes my wrist that she grabbed before. The redness has toned down but isn't completely gone.
-Oh yeah I'm fine it wasn't too bad. Some cold water fixed it right up, I reassure her. She puts the box on her bed and walks closer and takes my hand in both of hers. She looks troubled at my wrist as she carefully glides her fingers in my hand onto my wrist. I blush at the action but try to keep myself cool. She then quickly pushed her hair behind her ear again and pulled it closer to her eyes to see it closer.
-Y/N you're still really red, she says panicked.
-Oh Namaari stop it! I say firmly. She looks shocked up at me.
-It's not that bad, it was an accident! Accidents happen, I say and she looks ashamed down at my hand again. I sigh and take both of my hands and put them on her cheeks so that I force her to look my in my eyes.
-Listen to me. I know that you aren't at your best right now. But please stop thinking that all you do is causing me to hurt. It's not. You are the sweetest and kindest person I know and you're my best friend. So please don't beat yourself up over some slight bruising, I say, looking firmly into her eyes. She just looks at me.
-Ok? I ask to make sure she got it.
-Ok, she nods. We look at each other for a second more. She turns a slight shade of pink while I bet that I turned into all different shades of red.

-Good, I say and look over her face again, while pushing her hair back again, since it fell out.
I smile at her face, that has now formed into a frown.
-Mother wants me to bring Sisu to us. To our side, she says.
-What? I ask in disbelief.
-No matter the costs, she says.
-Oh Namaari, I sigh and hug her tightly. She hugs back even tighter and shakes a little.
-I... I don't want to hurt anyone, she says.
-Namaari... It's ok, I say and pull away.
-I know you'll do what right, I smile confidently at her and she smiles a bit back.
-Thank you Y/N. You always know what to say, she says.
-I only speak facts Namaari, I say and she smiles.
The next day:
I wake up to a blood curdling scream. I jump up and sprint to my window and gasp as I see all the water in the canal and river around us disappear. I also see how the druun from the forest are taking their opportunity to cross now that there's no water. I quickly throw on my nearest clothing and run downstairs. It took me a while since there was a lot of havoc, but I finally reached the throne room... a moment too late. Virana is turned into stone and I gasp as I see Namaari mourning her.
-Namaari...? I ask. She doesn't even look at me. She just looks up at her mother.
-Sisu is dead... she says coldly. I can't begin to process the words she just said.
-What? I ask in disbelief. Then I hear a yell.
-Namaari!
I turn towards the palace entrance. In walks a girl, with a sword in her hands and eyes full of vengeance.
-Leave Y/N, Namaari tells me.
-No Namaari, I am not leaving you right now! I protest.
-Leave! Namaari orders loudly. I quiver, before I do as she says. I start heading towards one of the side entrances as I hear:
-Let's finish what you started, dep la. The only thing that followed was swords clashing. I look back and the two were in a deep sword fight. I almost jumped in between them as they ran through the hall, but then I heard a child scream. I look towards the town square and I see children panicking in the middle of the druun chaos. I run towards the and shield them with my body right before the druun can hit.... But it never does. Instead I look up and I see a boy.
-Come here guys, I'm here to help, we'll get you to safety, he says. I put the kids I was shielding onto the animal that the boy was sitting upon.
-Take them, I'll help out here as much as I can, I tell him. He looks wondering at me.
-You don't look like a fang, he says. I look back up at him.
-I'm not... I'm from talon, I say and tightly knit my hair in an updo to keep the hair away from my face. The boy nods and the animal rolls away as they disappear outside fangs gates.
I release a breath and start running around, helping people who are stuck beneath bricks and whose doors had been closed off by walls falling. There were 3 people running around with gem pieces, protecting the people from the druun. They all nod at me as I guide the people to them, and I nod back. They quickly get help from the girl fighting Namaari before. I sneer at her, and continue helping people.
Before I know it, I trip over a piece of wall as I'm running from a druun. I try to shield myself, but it disappears. I look up and it's that girl from before.

-Come let me help you, she says.
-Why? You've already fought Namaari, what do you need me for? I ask.
-I'm Raya. I'm not here to hurt anyone, she says and reaches out a hand for me. I take it and she helps me up.
-Thank you, I say gratefully.
-I think there's only a few people left. Think you can handle that without a gem? She asks.
-I've made it this far, haven't I? I ask. Raya nods and runs off. I run off to the opposite direction to save the few people that are left.
As there is no other people left but Namaari, I start sprinting towards the palace. I can see Namaari standing and looking disoriented. But a druun is catching up its pace. I start panicking and I try to run faste. But the druun does too.
-Namaari, I shout at her as I feel it right on my heel. Namaari looks at me. Oh please I can't die now, I can't be turned into stone now, I keep telling myself. But the druun doesn't care about my thoughts. I feel my body freezing up, the world becoming cold and dark. And then... nothingness.
Namaari POV:
-No! I shout as I grab the last gem piece from my pocket and make the druun disappear. I grab Y/N's face.
-Y/N, please no, please come back, I cry. But her face is stone. She cannot answer. I start crying as I see all different kinds of people around us getting turned into stone too.
-I'll fight for you Y/N... don't worry, I whisper and put my forehead to hers, before running off towards Raya and the others she's with.
We stand back to back trying to wear off these stupid druun, before the floor breaks in and we fall. Druun surrounds us and we have no form of escape.
-They won't back off! The big burly man exclaims.
-There's to many of them! A little boy says. I look at Raya as we are all trying to keep them away.
-Everyone give me your gems! We can still put it together! It can still work! Raya says.
-Sisu's gone Raya! We don't have her magic! The little boy says.
-It's not about the magic, it's about trust! Raya says and I look wondering at her.
-What!? I ask.
-that's why it worked, that's why we can do it too, Raya explains.
-By doing the one thing Sisu wanted us to do, Raya desperately says.
-It's to finally trust each other and fix it! But we have to come together... please, Raya finishes.
-After what she's done? The big man growls at me.
-We will never trust her! The little boy shouts at me. I look defeated at them all.
-Then let me be the first.... Raya says and walks over to me. She gives me her gem piece and walks over, before she gets consumed my the druun and turns to stone. So the others do too. They slowly but surely place their gems in my hand and joins Raya.
I see a rock falling from above me and I try to climb up and save myself but... they trust me. Y/N trusted me... she trusted in me more than they ever will. And if this is really going to work then... I need to trust them too. And if it works, if I trust them enough.... I get to see Y/N again.
I climb back down and I hurriedly put the pieces back together into the spherical shape it was before it broke. Then when it's done I walk to join the others and hold my hand on Rayas shoulder. A druun grabs me and it turn cold and dark. A cold nothingness consumes me.
Third person POV:
The heroes and everyone else in that city turned to stone. So did everyone else in all of kumandra. It was quiet. The druun started scattering around, like they owned it all. Which... they did. The gem fades in color and everything turns grey. The humans. The sky. The gem....
Then suddenly the gem regains it's collie and shoots out waves of magic through kumandra. Wave upon wave upon wave. It didn't stop. At the edge of the forest was a whole stone yard of the king lost dragons from long ago. But as the waves hit them, the stone disappeared. The dragons came back to life! Water started filling the rivers and seas again. The dragons looked at each other and the leader made it rain. All dragons started galloping through the air upon the water towards fang.
And as the water falls, it hits the statues. It starts with Raya. The stone drips off with the water, and in mere seconds she's brought back to life. She gasps and looks around. So does Namaari, Tong, Boun, Noi and the monkeys. They all look at each other and dance in glee as they get soaked by the magical rain. The rest of the people in fang also wake up, and they all glance to the sky to see the majestic dragons. As our heroes climb out of their cage they also see the dragons. The dragons start prancing and dancing around the canal by fang. They make an unusual pattern in the sky as a blob of water rises to the skies. It comes to life and Sisu is reborn. She greets her siblings and friends as they gallop through the air. She spots her friends below her and dives down, still galloping forward. The heroes follow her, even Namaari.
They stop on a grassy field, reuniting with their dragon friend. Namaari stands off to the side, but Sisu is quick to engulf her into their big group hug.
Y/N POV:
I gasp as I open my eyes and get air into my lungs again. I look up as stormy clouds makes a light drizzle over fang. I look around and see others turning back from stone and I immediately help the ones that are disoriented and I help them sit down, before I realize.
-Where's Namaari?
I run around helping people as well as asking if they've seen Namaari. I run around all of town square before I spot her on a grassy patch slightly behind the castle.
-Namaari! I shout! As I run towards her. She stands, ready to greet me, but I jump up at her, engulfing her in a huge hug. Then I let go and shove her.
-Why did you do that? Did you know how dangerous that was!? I was so worried about you! I scold.
-Don't you ever do that to me again Namaari, or I swear I will- I get cut off by soft lips pressing against mine. I blink in shock as I try to comprehend that Namaari is kissing me. I then softly close my eyes and put my hands on her cheeks, and she does the same. I grab the back of her head to push her slightly more into the kiss, and she reciprocates by tilting her head to the side. We slowly let go of each other and I look into her beautiful brown eyes. I softly push her hair behind her ear and she grabs my hand after the motion.
-I'm so glad you're ok, she whispers. I smile as I feel myself become teary eyed.
-Awe, isn't that sweet! I hear a voice from beside me and I whip my head in the direction of the voice. There stands all the people who helped save people. They are giggling and smugly grinning... but Sisu is also there.
-Oh my mighty Sisu! I greet dramatically and bow.
-Eh, there's no need for that! You're a friend, friends don't do that! Sisu says and I blush heavily as I look up at Namaari. Namaari smiles sheepishly and blushes too.
-Dep la, you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend! Raya says and nudges Namaari in the shoulder. Namaari blushes even more and I giggle. She then hits Raya on the arm.
-I don't, she says and Raya laughs. I smile and grab Namaaris hand and she looks shocked down at our hands, before looking up at me.
-Until now, I say and smile smugly. Everyone's jaws drop, except for Sisu's.
-I- Y-N is-are you sure? Namaari asks. I nod confidently.
-one. Hundred. Percent, I say. Namaari smiles happily.
-Morning mist... chieftess Viranas voice says form behind us. Me and Namaari turn to her and our hands pull away from each other. Virana looks between us.
-I know what it looks like your highness, b-but I can explain, I say hastily. Virana just smiles and I feel Namaari's hand grab mine again.
-Do you know how long I've waited for this day to come? Virana asks.
-Mother? Namaari asks confused. Virana takes a step forward and hugs us both.
-I... don't understand...? I say. Virana pulls away from the hug.
-You too have been pining after each other for way too long. It's time one of you finally said something, she says relieved. Me and Namaari looks confused at each other.
-Just kiss again love birds! the little boy shouts at us and everyone around us cheers.
-Only if you want to, Namaari nudges my shoulder playfully.
-I'd love nothing else, I say and pull her in for another kiss.
A couple of months later:
Raya, Namaari, Boun, Noi, Tong and Sisu helped me regain my title in Talon, even though I haven't been there in 6 years. I did become cheiftess, but only for that part of the once again united kumandra. All leaders of kumandra raise the people's voices to help build the once separated country back up again to its glory. Namaari has told me her plans of proposing to me, but we've both agreed that we want to wait until the country runs itself again. But the dragons have all returned, they give us rain and water and life when needed.
-Hello my queen, Namaari kisses the side of my head as she stands behind me. I am looking out the window of my old room as I am done packing all of my things here to move into the palace in Talon. I smile and put a hand on her cheek.
-Hi, I say and look at her. She smiles down at me.
-I'll miss youuuuu, she whispers. I giggle.
-You dork... I'll miss you too, I say and kiss her cheek. She puts a hand on mine and smiles as we look out over the growing and flourishing kumandra, together.

Moonlight follows the stories of Claire, Jayden, and Seraphine, as they learn to control these powers that desire to consume them. Author Notes: Hello! This isn't my first attempt at writing a story, and it isn't even my first attempt at writing this particular story, but I'm not in any way what I would call "experienced". I decided to upload my writing here because I just wanted to get my ideas out there, and I wanted to get some constructive criticism for my writing from the RRL community. All comments are welcome, but please try to keep them positive and constructive! If you leave a rating, I would appreciate it if you left a short explanation of what you liked and what I can improve on. I'll be uploading each chapter as I finish them, but this is still the first draft so anything and everything is subject to change. The cover art is drawn by me, but I'm in no way married to it. I just wanted something that showed the three magical sources, as I picture them in my head. If you do any art based on this story, send it to me! I would love to see it. I'll stop talking now, I hope you enjoy the story!

The Kings of Thendor - The Two Kings
To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much. In the land of Thendor, where magic is mysterious, unmentioned, and sometimes even disbelieved; where kings, queens, and stewards rule, the ages-old kingdom of Alldel remains without its king. Heirs come and go and no one can explain why each one chooses to abdicate to the steward. And who are these heirs, anyway? Some say the line of kings is dead, while others whisper of magic. Some, though few they are, will tell you other kingdoms have interfered, keeping the line of kings from rising in the nation of Alldel. But why? Adric, son of Cassian, heir to the throne of Alldel has come of age and must answer the question, whether to assume the throne, or abdicate as his ancestors had done for centuries. Raised as a blacksmith by a family friend, Adric struggles with the decision to take up his place as King of Alldel, and to make matters worse, a neighboring kingdom has confirmed the rumors of the common folk. An impossibly old king with a centuries-old message arrives and changes Adric’s life in ways he could never have imagined. Adric must decide the future, and perhaps even the fate of the great kingdom of Alldel. Unprepared for this turn of events, he enlists the help of allied kingdoms and even the mystical nymphs of the Tulusbian forest. Some say his actions will start a war on the continent of Thendor. Ohers say he is resurrecting a long forgotten one from centuries ago. Abdicate, or become king? To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much.
