Y/N POV:

I just ended college. I am three years older than my best friends, Max, PJ and Bobby. I was the first one to play with them during summers when they were younger. They've always idolized me because I'm older. Of course that's almost thrown out of the window.

But I got my college degree and I got a reasonably good job, and the best boss ever.

Now it's the little boys' turn to go to college and learn something.

That said, my best friend from high school, Bobby, called me yesterday and said that they needed help. With the college X-games. Bobby, PJ, Max and I had all played in the same team in high school. We are the dream team. So I took some time off of work and went to their college.

-He told me to meet him here... I say as I walk into a dance club on the college campus. Then I see the guys sitting in a booth. My heart clenches as Bobby tries to sweet talk a girl. But the I see the girl grabbing PJ and heading out to the dance floor. I smile and head closer to them. Bobby is standing with his back towards me.

-Looks like the bad boy lost his touch, Max teases him. I cross my arms.

-Oh did he now? I ask. They turn to me and their eyes light up.

-Y/N! They yell at the same time and heads to me. They hug me and Max is the first to pull away.

-What're you doing here? He asks.

-I called her, Bobby says and puts his arm around my shoulders.

-Y-you called her? Why? Max asks.

-He said y'all needed some coaching for the X-games, I say.

-Pffff, no we don't, Max scoffs. I raise my eyebrow.

-Something tells me you totally ignored your dads horse shoe talk, I say.

-A-alright but hats just because he's here and distracting me, Max excuses. I roll my eyes.

-C'mon we have cheese nachos, my treat, Max says and sits down at their booth again.

-I'm glad you came so quickly, Max' really been out of it lately, Bobby says.

-Yeah I noticed, I sigh. Then I smile.

-It's good to see you again. It's been a while, I say before I lean on the booth beside Max who's knee deep into cheese. Bobby laughs nervously.

-It has... hey Y/N- Bobby starts, but the change of music interrupts him. Suddenly a groovy beat starts playing. I smile and start bopping my head to the beat. Then I see Goffy starting to dance with a woman and they're both wearing 70's clothing.

-Well if the gammas aren't going to keep my dad busy, his new girlfriend definitely will, Max says and starts dancing too.

The next couple of days were spent sleeping, eating and breathing X games. I coached the guys so hard that all they wanted to do when we were done was sleep. I kept reminding them that they also had classes too so they should study more than train, but Max insisted.

The outtakes happened too... not perfectly but we made the cut. As we're walking from the changing hall towards the coffee shop, Bobby walks beside me.

-Hey Y/N? He says.

-mhmm? I ask.

-There's another reason to why I called, he says. I look at him.

-And that was...? I ask. He hesitates. Then he opens his mouth to talk but the gammas rolls past and shoves a pie in his face. They laugh as they roll past us and further into campus. I growl at them.

-Are you ok? I then ask. He licks around his mouth.

-Yep, it's just whip cream, he laughs and takes off his glasses. I giggle and take out a packet of napkins from my bad.

-Here, let me help you, I say and grab his glasses and clean them off. Then I hand him a napkin so that he can clean his face off.

-Thanks, he smiles at me.

-No problem, I smile back and I feel myself starting to blush.

We finally get to the coffee shop and they take a seat.

-I'll go order you some coffee, I smile. Then I see Beret girl joining us with a tea in hand.

-Hey guys, how was outtakes, she asks as she sits closer to PJ. I see Bobby looking at her... I don't know why I think he likes her he's just looking at her, goddamnit! A knot fills my stomach, but then he looks at me... and smiles. I smile back.

-My dad ruined everything, Max sulks in his chair.

-Aw cheer up Max. Coffee is on me, I joke and head to the desk to order our coffees.

I get back to the table and give out the coffees and we share a conversation.

A week later we're training again. We got to use the gym track so that they could train on the mountain bikes. Bobby went to get some drinks and I watch Max and PJ carefully.

-C'mon PJ, just one more lap! I yell at him as motivation. He looked absolutely exhausted. I then feel someone poking my arm. I look at the culprit and there stands Bobby.

-I know you said you didn't want anything but I got you a chocolate bar, he says and hands me the bar. I take it and then he hands me a drink too.

-You shout a lot, he excuses. I laugh.

-Well I have to get you in shape in some way, I says. He scoffs playfully and nudges my shoulder. I nudge back and take a couple of chugs of the drink. I see Max coming closer and finishes his lap. Then soon after the comes PJ and he's a sweaty mess.

-PJ you have to get faster for the semi finals, Max scolds.

-Hey, he did great, I say and glare at Max.

-Listen, that's great and all but can we please take a break? PJ begs.

-Yeah, sure, I say. PJ hops off his bike and just drops it in the ground before grabbing the drink he asked Bobby for and completely downing it. We all look impressed at him.

Then I hear a bunch of excited whispers and screams coming towards us.

-Look, there they are! I hear a yell and I turn around. There stands a flock of cheerleaders that's coming towards us in a rapid speed. The boys doesn't seem to notice the hoard, and suddenly Bobby stands beside me.

-Hey so I've wanted to talk to you before, he says.

-Aha, I say. He hesitates again.

-Well I just wanted to say- he gets cut off by the herd of cheerleaders grabbing him, Max and PJ and excitedly gushing about them. I laugh at how funny it looks and grab my bag.

-Y/N, help us! PJ yells.

-Me too, I- hey watch the glasses! Bobby says.

-I'll see you in the dorm room later! I tease and leave them to their fate.

-No Y/N, don't do this to us! Bobby begs.

-Sorry, not my fault you're famous, I yell as I keep on walking away.

A bit of my heart plays on what Bobby could've said as I walk. Maybe he wanted to say something important? What could be so important...? I hope deep down that he was trying to confess his love for me, but... that's never happen. He doesn't want someone like me, he wants someone like... like anyone else.

A couple of weeks later:

The semi finals and finals are here, finally. I stand with the boys up at the starting ramp. They made it through the semi finals and finals are about to start.

-Are you guys ready? I ask. I'm not dressed in training clothes today. Today I'm coaching with style.

-I guess so, Bobby says.

-Are you guys ready to start? The judge asks.

-Ready as we'll ever be, Max says.

-Alright. On your marks... get set, the judge starts and I stand back waiting for the "go", but before he can say it, PJ blasts of and gets shot halfway across the state. I gasp.

-PJ! I shout after him.

-Ah Ah Ah, hold on! The judge says.

-Hey! They blasted out guy halfway across the state! Max protests.

-Ah well we'll just get on with it! Oh wait! You're just one, two... oh you're just to people, which means you can't play, Bradley upper crust the third says.

-Unless you find someone else to get here in a minute, the judge says. The commentator says the same and Max runs towards him. He grabs the microphone and stares into the camera.

-Dad, I don't know if you can hear me, but I need your help, Max says.

-And no I'm not in any danger... I just... We need your help. I need your help, Max says. I walk up to the judge.

-Is there any way we can get a few more seconds time? I ask.

-Aha, no thats against the rules! Bradly says angrily.

-Stay out of this, Uppercrust, I say and poke him forcefully in the chest.

-10 seconds! The judge says.

-Who even are you? Max's water girl? Bradley says.

-None of your business little man, I say.

-5... 4.... 3... 2, suddenly I hear a scream and someone crashes through the floor right beside me. I Yelp in surprise.

-Y/N are you ok? Bobby asks and runs up to me. I nod.

-Yeah I'm fine, I say. Max helps Goofy out of the hole.

-No he's too late! Bradley begs the judge.

-Not on my watch, the judge says. I get some spare roller skates from my bag and hand them to Goofy.

-You ready me Goof? I ask.

-Yeah sure. I'm ready, he says as he puts them on. I smile.

-Good, I say. They line up again. Bobby looks at me and I look back at him.

-Be safe out there, I tell them... but mostly Bobby. Bobby nods.

-We will, Max says.

The race starts and a bunch of weird obstacles are in the way of the race. I got down from the ramp and headed towards the finish line. They get to the mountain bike part and I watch in anticipation as Bobby's front wheel falls off and he flies into the mud under the big jump. I gasp. I see on screen how Max stops and Bobby tells him to go on. The race continues and finally I can see Tank, Bradley, Goofy and Max head on the last strip. I start cheering loudly for max and Goofy but suddenly Max's skateboard blasts in an incredible speed. He crashes into Hank and they both ran into the big X statue. I scream as it tumbles over them. It catches fire and it start to crumble more.

-Max! Max get out of there! I shout at him. Bradley is cockily skating towards the finish line.

But suddenly Max, Goofy and Tank are all three in Max's skateboard and heading much faster towards the finish line. Goofy and Tank boosts his speed as they jump off and he...

He wins! I scream happily as Max wins and takes the trophy. The whole ceremony ends and Bradley gets his butt kicked by Tank, and I start searching for Bobby.

-Bobby? Bobby! I shout as I walk around aimlessly.

-Over here dude! He shouts. I turn around and there he stands, all dirty from the mud. I run towards him, past celebrating people.

-Are you ok? I ask concerned for him.

-Yeah. Still got mud in about every crack and crevice of my body but other then that I'm fine, he says.

-Oh thank god, I say and embrace him. He slowly hugs back. When we finally let go we just look into each other's eyes.

-You know I've wanted to talk to you alone ever since you got here, he says.

-I remember, I say and butterflies start to form in my tummy.

-All I've wanted to say was- he gets cut off by someone right beside him blowing an air horn. He quickly grabs it from the person and throws it into gather ground, breaking it. I giggle a bit.

-Look, all I've wanted to tell you is that I like you, he says. I flush up.

-W-what? I ask.

-I know it sounds crazy, but listen, I didn't just call you here so that you could help out, I wanted to see you again, I wanted to be with you again, he says.

-I just wanted you to know, you know, in case if you- I cut him off by grabbing the collar of his shirt and kissing him.

-I like you too, you dork, I say.

-Wh-really? He asks.

-Yeah, I say.

-Oh wow... a whole year passes and I tell you now? Wow I suck at this, he says. I laugh.

Suddenly Max and a camera crew comes up to me. They shove a microphone in my face.

-Max here tells us that you are his coach. Is that correct? The reporter asks me.

-Uhm, yes? I say.

-Because the skating world is astounded by the work you did! Your students won the college X-games! Aren't you proud? He asks.

-Yeah I am, I say.

-Well what would you say if you got the opportunity to lead next years X-games? He asks. I freeze in shock.

-What do you say? Bobby asks. I look at him.

-I say yes, I say.

At graduation:

Goofy finally got his degree and we're almost out for the summer. I quit my last job and I'm now training for next years X-games. Bobby asked me out at the finals and we've been dating since. Goofy and miss marpole drive away.

-C'mon babe, I want pizza, my treat, Bobby says as he stands up. I look up at him and smile.

-Sounds good to me, I say and grab his hand and stand up too. We walk past Max and he follows us to the pizza place.

Bobby and I share a pizza and he looks so happy that he could burst.

-You look so happy Bobby, I say.

-Well of course my lady, I got you, he grins and waves around with a slice of pizza. I giggle.

-I guess the bad boy hasn't lost his touch, I say and grin at Max. Max laughs.

-I guess not, he says. Bobby then softly grabs my face and kisses me.

-You taste like pizza, he says as he pulls away.

-I wonder why, I say sarcastically and pick up a pizza slice and shove it into his mouth.

-Hey! He muffles out. I laugh as he tries to chew the whole thing.

-Oh no... definitely lost his touch, Max says.
