Y/N POV
Ugh... people... I HATE having to shop. I mean, it's necessary, I need food, but I don't like being around people... I don't wanna be around people after my parents went away in that plane crash last year. I've been Isolated, and I don't like going out if not necessary.
especially if a duck and his friend is around. Speaking of the devil....
-Hey Y/N! I see Duffy running towards me. He puts his arm (wing??? Idk) around my shoulders and hangs on me as I walk in the aisle.
-So, how have you been doing? We haven't seen you around lately... Daffy says as he takes up a jam jar from my shopping cart. "We"? What does he mean?
-"We"...? I ask. Suddenly I hear;
-Daffy!? Did you take the pickles? And Bugs comes running towards us in the aisle. My face turns beet red and I turn to the shelf beside me... pasta...
-Oh, hey Y/N! Haven't seen you in a while, where have you been? He asks.
-Um, Hi Bugs... I, Eh, just been at home, I say, looking at the ingredients of the pasta. Stupid me, I don't need pasta. But if it will stop me from meeting people, then I'll buy it. I put it in my cart and see Bugs tilting his head at me.
-For a whole year? He asks. I grab the handles on the cart.
-Yeah... for a whole year... I say and look up at him, tears staining my f/c fur.
-I'm sorry, I really need to go, I say and run towards the cash registers.
Bugs POV;
Y/N has been distant for the past year.
-Hey, what's up with Y/N lately? I ask Daffy who is tasting the jam from the jar.
-Eh, didn't you hear? Her parents died in that plane crash a year ago, Daffy says and licks up the rest of the jam.
-They did? I ask and look at she runs out of the store.
-Yep. Then she isolated herself from all outside contacts, Duffy says and throws away the jar.
-But... Why didn't she tell me? I thought we were friends.... I say and my ears droop.
-Things happens buddy, and people loose contacts, especially with old crushes, Duffy says and places an arm around me.

-Oh hush you. I just... Don't understand why she didn't talk to me about it, I say and feel sad. Her parents were good friends of my family, so that I didn't get to know makes me sad.
Y/N POV
Running home with groceries in hand, my tears stop running and I unlock the door. I take a deep breath before I open the door and meet the stench of "locked in". I sigh and put the keys on the counter right by the door and walk inside. I close the door and immediately open every window in the house. I put the grocery bags on the kitchen counter and take a look around at all the dirt. I roll up my sleeves and take out the vacuum and a big box to put clothes in. I take a round with them both and decide to have a cleaning day tomorrow. Sure, I had cleaned the house after the accident, but not in the same way. I deeply cleaned every shelf until I decide to give up and take out the groceries. I start picking out the stuff and putting it in the fridge until I spot something outside on the road. It's Bugs' car. I can see him noticing me looking at him and he rolls down his window.
-Hey Bugs! I shout out the window.
-Hey Y/N! He shouts back. It gets silent.
-Eh, Hey, I was wondering if you would like to... I don't know, grab a snack and go for a ride? He asks. I smile. No one had asked me to do anything since I cut all contacts.
-Y-Yeah, I'd love to! I say and look down at my dirty, old clothes.
-Let me Just, Eh, get changed, I say and close the windows and then run up the stairs to close the windows and change into something fresh. I mean, it's Bugs....
As I look at my clothes, I start to think. Should I really do this? I mean... I'll be outside again, I haven't been out there in a long time... Hopefully we won't meet anyone.... But. I should do this. I make up my mind, grab my keys and my phone and wallet, and run outside. I jump in the car next to Bugs, who smiles at me.

-Hey! Let's go, shall we? He says and he starts the car.
After a while I begin overthink everything...
-Hey... Bugs says and puts his hand on mine.
-We're not gonna meet anyone, I've made sure of it, he says, as if he could read my thoughts. I smiled calmly and put my eyes on the road.
Bugs Drives us out to the country side and up a hill. The hill has three trees, not like in movies where they only have one. I get out of the car and walk towards the trees. On them are engraves of peoples initials and hearts and dates.... On all of the trees. I look at Bugs, who has a picnic basket.
-Thank you bugs... I say as we sit down and he takes out some watermelon and different kinds of berries and a tub of Nutella.
-Why are you thanking me? He asks.
-Because you finally brought me outside! This is amazingly beautiful and- Not as beautiful as you, Bugs interrupts me. I blush.
-That was really cheesy bugs, I say and laugh. Bugs smiles.
-So, I understand if you don't want to talk about it.... But the accident? Why didn't I hear of it? Bugs ask.
-I, uh.... I say and my breath becomes shaky. Bugs grabs my hand.
-It's ok... he says.
-Mom and dad were going an a second honeymoon to Spain... But... The plane was compromised and it crashed right onto a beach in Portugal. 56 people were killed, including them... I say and my tears resurface.
-Y/N, I.... I'm so sorry... Bugs says. I sniffle.
-It-It's not your fault bugs, I say and try to wipe my tears away.
-But I should've been there for you! he says harshly.
-And I wasn't, his ears droop. I shake my head.
-You couldn't do anything, I shut everyone out Bugs! I say.
-But I wished that maybe I'd be the single person you'd let in, ok!? Bugs says loudly, and my heart stops.
-W-what? I ask. Bugs sighs.
-Listen Y/N, I've liked you for a really long time... and then you just disappeared. I hoped this year that you'd reach out to me, because I really missed you, he says.
-Bugs I... I'm sorry, I say.
-No, it's ok... you did it for you, and as long as you're happy, I'm happy, Bugs says sadly.
-But Bugs... you make me happy, I say, making Bugs look at me.
-I wish I would've reached out. I wanted to reach out to you so many times... But I was still hurting and couldn't bring myself to do it, I mean... Look at this, I say and mention to around us.
-This is absolutely amazing... and I wouldn't be here at this beautiful place, unless you had asked me to go, I say.
-You... You're saying that you... Bugs asks.
-I'm saying that I like you too Bugs, I smile and blush.
-Oh Y/N... Bugs says and hugs me.
I haven't had a hug in..... well, over a year now... I immediately throw my arms around Bugs, and hold him tight.
-Y/N, you have to let go... Bugs says.
-I don't want to let go, I say sadly.
-No, I mean, from me, I can't breathe! Bugs wheezes and I quickly let go of him.
-I'm so sorry! I say and Bugs smiles.
-It's ok, he says and hold my hand.
We sit in silence for a while, before he looks at the trees.
-So, waddya say, we make this our spot too? Bugs asks. I smile and nod.
-Yeah... I say.
-Only... if you promise to call when you feel alone, Bugs says and hold out a hand. I hesitate.
-I don't wanna burden you Bugs, I say.
-You're never a burden, Bugs says. He looks sincerely into my eyes.
-Ok? He asks. I smile and feel myself become emotional again.
-Ok, I smile and shake his hand. He kisses it tenderly, before standing up and grabbing a pocket knife from his basket and carving our names onto a tree.
He carved the space on the tree where the sun set its last rays... Legend says that their names are still the last names to feel the sun rays tender kiss before it disappears over the horizon.

They wait in corners, watching intently. The world harbors much more than meets the blind eye. Do not fret, though. Simply take the syringe. Hold your breath. Close your eyes. Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. I was reincarnated into another world as an orc, but wait, why am I still fat? Through this he has a suspicious encounter with an uknown entity that results in what can only be described as a reincarnation to another world. Despite his apprehensiveness he gives the benefit of the doubt to this weird scenario and accepts it, but to his surprise he wakes up in the body of... an orc? Is this just a sick joke or an adventure in disguise? See how Robert overcomes adversity and rewrites his own story with a new life, one hopefully with more luck than the last.
