Y/N POV:
-Hercules, is this really a good idea? I ask my friend as we walk towards the temple of Zeus.
-Yes! It's the best idea I've ever had! He answers. I sigh.
-If you say so... I say as we continue walking. Herc has always had super strength and we were going to Zeus temple to find out why and how. Of course he dragged me with since I was the only one brave enough to see the person behind the muscles. I frown as the sky turns dark and we almost reach in the entrance to the temple.
The stars adorn the sky when we finally get there. The candles are out and it was a looming statue before us. I slid my scarf from my head to my shoulders as I look up at Zeus. I slip my bag off of my shoulder and kneel before Zeus. Herc does the same.
-I seek your guidance, oh big and mighty Zeus. Help me find out who I am... Herc prays. I fold my hands in my lap and bow my head in respect. Suddenly a flash sounds in the temple and the candles all light up. I look up in shock and Herc looks at me.
-What's going on? I ask nervously. Suddenly the statue begins moving. I gape up at it.
-My son... my little Hercules, the statue booms and reaches for Herc. Herc stands up and begins running, but knocks into some candle holders.
-Oh my gods! Hercules, are you alright? I ask and stand up. The big Zeus statue grabs Hercules and lifts him up from the ground.
After a long and very confusing conversation between the father and supposed son, a horse with wings comes through the window. I smile as it flies around before landing next to me. The horse looks down at me and licks my cheek. I laugh in disgust, but pets it's muzzle anyway.
-Oh, and who might this be? Zeus asks Herc and leans down to look at me.
-Oh, uh- I'm Y/N, sir, I say.
-Y/N? Well, Hercules, how do you know Y/N? Zeus smiles.
-Y/N is my best friend... I asked her to some with me, Hercules smiles as he gets put down by Zeus.
-What kind of powers does she have? Asks Zeus.
-Oh, I'm just a normal person, I-I'm nothing special, I insist.
-Oh, but a normal person wouldn't just come here to see their friend, Zeus says.
-Well, I just wanted to help. I can assure you that I'm no one, I smile. Zeus grins mischievously at me.

-We'll see about that... now, Hercules-
We finally land on a weird looking island, that looks very run down.
-What is this place? I ask, before we hear giggles behind a bush. Herc jumps off of Pegasus to look, while Pegasus just walks closer for us to see. Behind the bush was a lot of beautiful ladies playing around a pond. My stomach twists in jealousy... but what could I do? Then I see a goat stuck in the bush.
-Um, Herc? I ask. He looks at me, before I point towards the goat.
-Oh! Hi there little friend! Do you need help?Hercules asks and pulls out a... a satyr!
The Minotaur growls angrily at Hercules, before running after the beautiful ladies, who turn into all sorts of things; trees, fruits, you name it.
The satyr gets slapped, before he growls and walks away.
-What do you want kids? He asks.
-We're looking for a a Philoctetes? I say. The satyr grabs a terracotta bowl and starts eating it, causing a sickening crunch.
-You can call me Phil, he says.
-Oh Phil! It's such an honor to meet you! Hercules says excitedly and shakes his hand. When he lets go, Phil's hand is almost blue.
And little did I know that this would be the biggest adventure in my life.
A couple of months later:
-Herc, I don't think sneaking of with Meg is such a good idea, I say as Herc fixes his hair in the mirror.
-I'll be fine! Phil isn't going to die if I skip a day, He says.
-No, but you'll be in trouble, I say, feeling jealous as Meg smirks at Herc.
-He's not gonna find out, unless you tell him... please don't tell him! Herc says. I sigh as anger starts bubbling in me.
-Please? Herc asks again.
-Fine, I say. Herc smiles and hugs me.
-Thank you, I owe you! He says and they leave. I feel like crying, but also punch the wall. What did Meg have that I didn't? Sure, a small waist a big hips and red lips... ok, a couple of things... But she didn't know him like I do. And I have a bad feeling about her... She's trouble.
I sigh as I watch them leave out the door. I take Hercules action figure and squeeze it like a stress ball as I sit down on the couch. I sigh again once I realize that since Herc was gone, I had nowhere else to be than here. I toss it beside me and walk out to the patio, where security had started escorting everyone out from the premises.

Phil walks up to me and dusts his hands off.
-So, where's Herc, time to do midday meetings! He says and looks expectantly up at me. I look down at him before realizing the situation.
-Oh! Uhm, I say and look for the clipboard that I had left inside.
-I left the clipboard inside, I say and Phil walks with a happy strut inside... and of course, he fumes when Herc is nowhere to be seen.
-Where is he!? Phil asks me with a red face. I sniff.
-He um.... I say and slowly sit down on the couch again. I hear a squeak and take away the Herc toy I had sat on. A tear falls from the stress and disappointment.
-He left... with Meg, I say and looked at him. His angry face turns understanding as I pick on the toy. I start sniffling and crying and Phil walks closer to me.
-What did I do wrong Phil... why won't he see? I ask. Phil puts a hand in my arm.
-Hey, hey, it's ok. He's a bit thick headed and full of glory right now... he doesn't really know what's left or right anymore, he says and dries a couple of tears on my chin.
-What do I do? I'm so deep into this feeling... that I can't get out, I say.
-Tell him, Phil says. I scoff.
-Like he'd listen, I say mockingly.
-No, but he'd understand, he says and I look at him.
-You if anyone would know, Phil says. I dry my tears and stand up.
-Yeah... yeah you're right, I say.
-Now, let's find that boy! I'll go on Pegasus and scout from the sky, Phil says.
-And I'll look in the garden, I say and start making my way out, grabbing my scarf.
After many hours of looking the garden, I still haven't found him, or Meg. I sigh and hold my scarf tighter around me. The scarf had been a birthday present from Herc to me. His mother had knitted it for my 12th birthday. It's gotten dark and I start returning to the mansion... right then, I see Herc and Meg laughing together. I turn red and my knuckles turn white as I hold the scarf in a death grip.
I loudly clear my throat and let them know of my presence. They look at me, Meg with a scared look and Herc with the biggest smile.
-Oh, Y/N! I can't believe it! This was the best night of my life! He says. He starts rambling about all the crazy things he's done with Meg, her looking more terrified than ever and me glaring at Herc.
-Stop it! I interrupt him. He looks shocked at me.
-Just stop! I'm not interested! I say.
-But Y/N I- had the night of your life, I get it! I interrupt him.
-But I was worried. Phil is worried, I say. He scoffs.
-Phil... what does he know about girls? He says.
-Apparently a lot more than you! I accuse. Meg looks intrigued.
-What does that mean? Herc asks.
-God damnit Hercules! I yell and rip off the scarf from around me.
-I have been in love with you since the day I turned 15! I have given you nothing but my time and effort to help you get where you're supposed to be! I say. Meg takes a deep breath, Herc looking puzzled at me.
-But when it comes down to it, you go off running back to the first girl that flirts with you! No offense, I clarify to her, and she nods at me. Then I glare back at Hercules. I look at the scarf and tears start clouding my vision.
I throw it forcefully at him. He looks hurt down at it.
-Take it back, I don't want it, I say starting to walk past him and up the stairs. Then I turn back down, seeing that they turned to me.
-Tell your mother I said thanks, I end and walk to the mansion to take my stuff and go back home.
Third person POV:
Here's brain was spinning 1000 miles per hour. He couldn't loose the only girl who's ever paid any real attention to him. As the door behind her closes, he yells after her.
-Y/N, wait!
He sinks down on the ground, staring at the scarf that he'd been so fond over Y/N wearing whenever they'd meet. He starts crying when every word she said sunk in. Meg kneels down.
-I should leave, she says.
-No, Meg please! Not you too! Hercules says desperately. She shakes her head.
-Don't you understand? You don't love me. You're just scared that she's too good for you, Meg says, before standing up and walking away into the garden. Hercules sits down on the stairs smelling the scent of Y/N's floral balms on her scarf.
She was truly the one who had ever cared, ever worried and ever loved him... and he messed that up, because he was scared that if he wasn't enough to be a god; he wouldn't be enough for her......
And gods, how wrong he was...
