Y/N POV:

We all flail upon the small, playful dragons as we try guiding them out.

-This is the craziest idea you've both ever had! Gobber yells at us as his dragon drops.

I laugh as every is just kinda holding on to the dragons, so they don't just fly away.

-So, Y/N, I hear a voice beside me. It's Eret. I grin at him.

-Eret! I didn't know you knew my name, I say playfully.

-That's my fault, sorry! I hear Astrid's voice from the front. I giggle and shake my head.

-No, ehm, Eret laughs nervously.

-So, you're the next chief? Eret asks.

-Not alone, but yes, I say proudly. Eret nods understandingly.

-How'd you get your... mark, Eret asks and mentions to his chest.

-Nasty dragon hunters, I explain plainly.

-Ah, of course. Dumb question, he says and I smile.

-You've changed, I point out and he chuckles.

-I guess... I guess I have, yeah, he says happily.

-Why? I ask playfully. Eret immediately becomes bashful.

-Well, I wanted to actually meet you as a person, and apologize before I die, Eret explain and my eyes widen and a huge smile erupt on my lips.

-Really? I ask.

-Yeah, well, I couldn't just leave you! We're tied together! He says and I laugh.

-You're absolutely right Eret, son of Eret! I shout as my dragon drops suddenly.

-Hey enough with the flirting back there! Gobber yells.

-So, young dragon rider, how is it with the dragon? Hiccup asks. Eret sits up proudly.

-There's not a dragon I can't tame! He says, before his dragon joins mine in a crazy play chase. I laugh and Eret smiles at me.

As we get out of the cave and on our way to Berk, the sun is coming up. The dragons have calmed down slightly and Eret can fly up next to me. We fly the rest of the way with only words of silence spoken.

As we spot Berk, I see how Drago is standing on D/n and has control over them both. I look to Hiccup and we turn to the others.

-We need to get to Toothless and D/N, he says.

-What should we do, chief? Eret asks.

-You distract the alpha, I smile at him, and then look at the others. The twins high five and they all immediately dive down to the ground to create some kind of distraction.

Eret stays and I look to him. He looks like he's about to say something life changing, and my interest peaks.

-You'll be a great chief... he says and I smile.

-Thank you... I try, I say. He smiles at me and dives down to follow the rest of the gang.

I nod at Hiccup and we immediately fly up to our dragons.

When we finally got our dragons back, I try telling everyone to get as safe as they can, at the same time that I try keeping evil dragons away. When everyone's as safe as possible, I land next to Hiccup and give him a big hug and jump around him. We laugh in victory as our dragons just watch our crazy antics.

But then... I hear a sound. We look up at the big dragon, who's opened his mouth.

-Uh, Hiccup? I say shakily.

-Y/N, watch out! I hear Eret shout as he runs towards me.

-No, Eret, stay back! I say.

-Mom! Hiccup shouts. I hear roars, before we are enveloped in ice.

Third person POV:

-No! Eret and Valka shouts. Eret stands and watch the ice block helplessly as Valka tries to crack it open.

-No... Eret says and tears start to fall.

-No, Hiccup, Y/N! Valka says and hits the ice helplessly. Eret grabs his soulmark, and so does Astrid from beside him. To faint golden glows could be seen from inside the block, before a neon blue shines through. Their eyes widen.

-Valka, back away! Eret instructs. Valka backs away as the ice block explodes and two nightfuries roar loudly at the big alpha dragon.

Me and Hiccup look astonished at each other. Our dragons looks at us and I smile and laugh from the adrenaline in my body.

Our dragons turn back to the alpha and jump up onto a large ice spike. They roar at each other and Valka and Eret join me and Hiccup.

-They're challenging the alpha! Hiccup says.

-To protect you! Mom says and I smile at Eret, who smiles back down at me, before we turn to the fight. The alpha doesn't even get to strike, as our dragons start blasting it up.

Toothless and D/n jumps down from the spike and stands protectively in front of us and roars at the other dragons. Dragons start regaining their senses and flies to stand behind Toothless and D/n. Drago screams angrily at the big ugly beast as he then sees the dragons switching sides. Me and Hiccup mount our dragons as they climb up onto the ice spikes again.

-Now you get it? This is what it is to earn a dragons loyalty! Hiccup says and mentions to the thousands of dragons behind us.

-Let this end, Now! I say sternly.

-Never! Drago shouts and climbs further up on the beast. The beats roars angrily and D/n Toothless growl at the dragons behind us.

Toothless takes the first blow and the other dragons follow behind. They all blast away at the ugly beast and I put a hand on D/n's head.

-Lets do this girl, I say and she nods. The beast starts opening it's mouth again, but D/n is faster and blasts him right in the mouth. Smoke erupts and it's saber tooth falls to the ground. Toothless and D/n roars at the beast to

leave.

-The alpha... protects them all, I say.

The beast looks shocked at us and dives into the water and disappears.

People around us cheer and Toothless and D/n jump down to the ground again. Well down, I look around at the dragons that surround us. Cloudjumper lands and walks up to our dragons... and bows.

Our dragons sit up proudly and I giggle. The other dragons bow too. D/n roars and the other dragons follow her lead. She then notices me and I pet her snout.

-Thank you... I smile at her. Then suddenly I get jumped from the side by Toothless, who starts licking me and Hiccup. D/n looks shocked down at us as we try to pry Toothless off of us. Everyone starts to laugh.

-Toothless! Hiccup scolds.

-You know that doesn't wash out! I yell. D/n jumps on Toothless to make him back off of me and they start bantering.

We finally get to stand up as everyone's dragons returns to them safely... well, except for Gobber...

Skullcrusher walks up to me and I sadly pet his snout. I look at Hiccup, who smiles sadly at me.

-That was som pretty fine dragon riding back there. You'd make a fine trapper, Eret comes up to us and points the last sentence at me. I scoff playfully and Skullcrusher pushes into Eret's side. Eret and Skullcrusher share a look and I smile.

-Skullcrusher... kinda needs someone to look after him right now, Hiccup says and smiles at me.

-Me? Eret asks and puts a hand on Skullcrushers horn. Both me and Hiccup nod at him.

-I'd be honored, Eret says and nods at me.

Mom comes up to us.

-Your father would be as proud as I am, she says.

-Thank you, I say.

-I'm glad you're here mom, Hiccup says.

-And here I'll stay, mom says and our dragons come up on both of her sides. She giggles.

Then Astrid walks up to Hiccup and I.

-See? I told you it was in here, she says and pushes both of our back fins out.

-Oh, very funny Astrid, I say and she mentions to Eret behind me. I roll the fin back into it's normal position.

-Come here, Hiccup says and grabs Astrid and kisses her. Everyone starts to cheer. I make a disgusted face.

-Ew, I laugh and shake my head. I feel someone come up behind me and they lean down to my ear.

-You can't avoid a kiss forever...

It's Eret. I look back at him as he smiles down at me. Then I hear the twins start a chant.

-kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, they chant and everyone joins them. Even Astrid and Hiccup just shakes his head in amusement.

-Really guys? That's really mature of you, I say. Eret softly turns me towards him and I look confused up at him.

-To make up for last time, he just says and kisses me.

My eyes widen in shock as I try to process what's happening, but I quickly get the hand of it and put my arms around his neck. He puts a hand on my waist and dips me slightly, which makes me hold onto him even more.

When he pulls away, he looks star struck at me and our soul marks glow brightly.

-Well, that maybe wasn't so bad, I say playfully and people laugh. He is still just staring at me.

Then I feel someone like my shoulder. It's Gothi. Everyone gathers around and watches me and Hiccup. I look back at Eret, before he lets me go and me and I kneel. But Hiccup doesn't. I look up confused at him.

-Hiccup? I ask and stand back up.

-This was never my job.... It was always yours, Hiccup says and I look even more confused at him. Hiccup puts a hand on my shoulder.

-You were the born leader. The brave, selfless one... this is your destiny, not mine, Hiccup says and nods to Gothi. I look at mom and Gobber from over Hiccups shoulder. Mom smiles proudly and nods, and so does Gobber. I look to my friends, who also nod. Then I turn around to look at Eret. He nods. I take a deep breath as tears start surfacing and I nod at Hiccup.

-ok... I say softly. He smiles and I kneel in front of Gothi again.

Gothi takes some coal dust from a put out fire, and puts it on her fingers. She then carefully lifts away my hair from my forehead and draws the chief symbol on my forehead. I stand back up, almost shakily and Gobber comes to my side.

-The chief has come home! He announces and people cheer and dragons roar loudly.

I smile at everyone and Eret comes to my side.

Dragons around us makes a big explosion of fire above us. As people are still cheering, Eret goes down on one knee.

-Eret? I ask confused and Hiccup looks shocked at me.

-Y/N, do you want to marry me? Eret asks with stars in his eyes. I smile and grab his hands, making him stand up. He looks expectantly down at me.

-If you keep surprising me... I'll guarantee there'll be a wedding in the future, I say and Eret looks down at me.

-Is that a 'no' or a 'yes'? Snotlout shouts at me and I laugh.

-It's a definite yes! I say. I can see Eret visibly relax as he kisses me again. People cheer on and on and on....

About 11 months later:

I was dressed in the finest of dresses. It was pearly white and I wore a fur over my shoulders. Eret, who was standing nervously in front of me, had a white robe on, a matching fur on his shoulders. He had flowers in his braid and I wore a flower crown in all colors of the spring. He hold out his hands for me, and I grab them. I smile at him and we both look to Gothi. She puts a silky white cloth around our hands. She puts a hand on top of ours and blesses us. She bows her head slightly and I turn to Eret. He smiles happily at me. I quickly put a hand on his cheek and kiss him. The people of Berk erupt in cheers and we pull apart.

-I love you... Eret tells me.

-You've told me several times, I remind him.

-And I'm never going to stop, he says and kisses me again.

1 year later:

I cheer loudly as Hiccup finally marries Astrid.

New Berk was everything we wanted. We had built up new houses, a boat system and a new home. A thick layer of snow laid on the ground as everyone either cheers or cries for the newly married couple.

Gobber throws his wooden hand up in the air and Eret catches it. He looks confused at me and I laugh and kiss his cheek.

Astrid and Hiccup walk to the cliff where we said goodbye to our dragons, and look out over the water. I grab Eret's hand and join them.

-Congratulations, I say as we reach them. They both look at us and smile.

-Thank you, Hiccup says.

-It's took you 6 years, but you finally did it, I tease Hiccup who only chuckles.

-And it took you 11 months, says Astrid and Eret puts a hand on my shoulder. I put my hand on top of his.

-What can I say, I'm irresistible, I say playfully and Eret chuckles.

-That you are, my lady, he says and we kiss upside down.

-I love you, I whisper so only he can hear. The others join us as we look out.

-Well, now that we're all here, it's time to tell you something, I say when everyone is close enough. They all look confused at me. Eret looks down at me and nods.

I smile at Hiccup and mom.

-I'm pregnant, I say and Eret puts his hand softly on my stomach.

Hiccup looks angrily at Eret.

-Eret, you son of a!-
