Y/N POV:
I've been sitting in the cage for maybe an hour or so. The sun has risen further up the sky and though my legs were now untied, my hands were stuck and my sword confiscated. I feel like I was sitting in the corner of shame when I was 5. I hear slow, calm footsteps approach the cage, and I know exactly who it is. I look up at the shadow above me. Eret. He sits down at the side of the cage.
-You know... this wasn't really how I planned to meet my soulmate, he says quietly, so that the hunters couldn't hear us. I scoff.
-You don't say? I ask sarcastically. His eyebrows furrow.
-Trust me... I believed my soulmate didn't have a dragon, he says irritated.
-And I believed that my soulmate had a real beard... but I guess we all can't have what we want, I say angrily and strain on the ropes. He frowns.
-Don't do that, he says.
-Don't anger me, he says and leans down, grabbing the bars. I stand up and walk closer to him.
-Or What? I threaten.
-I can throw you off of this boat, faster than you can say dragons, he threatens back.
-Well I have you know that I can swim, I counter back. Eret sighs angrily and look around, before turning back.
-Look, if you can just... give up that life and turn to my side, we could be the most powerful dragon trappers. You could rule these hunters, Eret says.
-You think I would give up my twin brother, and my best friends.... to rule over some puny, thickheaded small men? I ask angrily and reach up with my hands to come even closer to his face.
-You can only dream, I say and spit in his face. He wipes the spit off and glares at me.
-Fine. Then rot in your dragon cell. I bet Drago would have an awful lot of fun with you if you didn't start talking! Eret says loudly and stands up.
-Have fun living with the conscience that you killed your one and only soulmate! I yell after him. Eret walked away and a dragon trapper hits the cage with a hammer, making a loud clanking noise. I back away from the cage and sit back down, my back turned against the cage.
An hour later:
Suddenly a bunch of ruckus occurs upstairs. I turn to the cage and try to look out. All I see is silhouettes flying above us.
-You're not getting away this time, I can hear Eret say. I gasp and smile.
-Hiccup... I say and grab the bars again.
Hiccup and Astrid land on the boat.
-Here I was, worrying we'd turn up empty handed, Eret says and points his sword at Hiccup. A hunter opens the cage so Hiccup and Astrid sees me clearly. Astrid looks concerned at me, before glaring at Eret and lifting her battle axe.

-Nope. It's your lucky day, Hiccup says, stopping Astrid.
-We surrender! Hiccup then announces loudly. Both me and Astrid's brows rise at his statement.
-What? I ask. Hiccup jumps off toothless and Astrid jumps off of Stormfly.
-That's one nightfury and one deadly nadder... Hiccup say and grabs a net, throwing it onto Astrid.
-And two of the best dragon riders, west of lucktuck, Hiccup says and ushers Astrid towards me and the cage. Eret looks confused between me and Hiccup. I only make a confused face and shrug.
-That oughta make the boss happy, right? Hiccup says and hands one of the hunters Astrid's axe.
-Excuse us, Hiccup says politely and shoves a hunters weapon aside as Astrid enters the cage. Toothless and d/n growls at the surrounding hunters. I only shake my head in amusement when I see her confused face.
-What are you doing? Astrid asks irritated, just as I get the swing of what Hiccup is trying to do. It was one of the worst plans he's ever had, but... it could work...
-Toothless, D/n, stay, he says to our dragons, that gurgles confused at the command. Hiccup slowly lowers the cage over us.
-Uh, the dragons don't really do well in tight spaces, so they'll just hang out with you. They'll won't be any trouble, Hiccup says and the hunters immediately point all of their weapons at Toothless and d/n.
-Unless you do that, Hiccup says and sticks his head through the bars.
-You know, wooden boat, great ocean... Hiccup says.
-How is your swimming? I ask amused from down in the cage.
-Not good, I can hear a dragon hunter say and Eret scoffs. I then grab Hiccups sword and put it through a small crack in the cage, lighting it in fire. I hear the hunters gasp.
-A prisoner shouldn't have any weapons, I then remind. Hiccup then playfully smacks his forehead.
-Right, he says obviously and hands the hunters his sword. They play around with it, and make a big explosion.
-There you go! Hiccup encourages and I snicker. Toothless then chases a small float thingy, d/n following and then they both bicker around the boat, rolling around as they fight. Eret grabs the sword and throws it away. Stormfly gets it back but he throws it again... to no success.
-You can win any dragons loyalty with respect, Hiccup shows Eret and was out of the cage. Astrid quickly ties up the rope around my wrists as the hunters are focused at Toothless and Hiccup.
And just when I'm about to sneak out, a dragon swoops in and grabs Hiccup.
-D/n, fetch! I tell her and she immediately rushes after Hiccup and the dragon. But at further inspection... it was Hookfang... and the others... including my dad.....

-Oh, I'm in deep shit... I growl.
As dad landed in the boat, Eret begins boasting over his boat and crew, but dad just pushes him away and he gets stuck under Gobbers dragon. I help Astrid out of the cage and dad spots me.
-Y/N, thank the gods, he says and hugs me tightly.
-Hi dad... I say and hug back. He pulls away and checks me over for injuries.
-I'm glad you're ok... did he hurt you? He asks and I shake my head.
-No, but dad- listen dad, Hiccup interrupts me...
Later:
Dad told us the story of how Drago Bludvist killed many a chiefs, and he was the only survivor. He warns me and Hiccup from trying to negotiate with him.
-Well, we can try, I say sternly and jump onto d/n. Eret looks astonished at me.
-Yeah. We managed to change ur mind... I'm sure we can change his, Hiccup says and mounts Toothless.
-Were going to talk with him. We're going to change his mind, I say and I nod at Hiccup and we fly away.
After a long flight, Hiccup shouts into the sky and lays down at Toothless. Toothless let's out a sad gurgle.
-Yelling doesn't make things better, I say sadly. Hiccup sighs.
-I know. I wish he could just... see our perspective of the whole situation, Hiccup says.
-I know you're not talking about the Drago dragon army situation, I say and Hiccup looks at me.
-Listen, we started a revolution. The first two Vikings to never have killed a dragon. We've changed a lot of people, I bet this Drago is nothing different, I assure him.
We fly in silence for a while, before we hear wings flapping. Large wings.
-Dad, this isn't really the time... I say.
We hear the wings come closer. Hiccup gets irritated and sits back up.
-Dad!- he cuts himself short as there is someone that's floating mid air. Then disappears... we look around, but suddenly we both gets grabbed by our shoulders. Toothless immediately falls down towards the ice cold waters below. D/n follows him.
-Toothless! No! I've got to save my dragon, you go to save our dragons! Hiccup shouts at the figure, who wasn't floating at all, but was actually riding a dragon.
After being flown by my shoulder for a long while, we get into an icy cave and the dragon drops us well inside. Dragon surrounds us from all angles and me and Hicxup stands back to back.
-Hey! I say and reach out a hand. The dragons hiss and growls at us.
-We have to head back for my dragon! Hiccup says, but pushes against my back when a large dragon walks towards him.
Hiccup, who actually got his sword back, takes it off his handle on his leg and it immediately extends and light up in flames. The dragons stare intensely at it. Hiccup shares a glance with me, and then he changes the canister in the handle and makes a big ring of zippelback gas around us, before lighting it up.
Hiccup walks towards the dragon, a hand outreached... but I notice the person and tug on his sleeve instead. He looks their way and backs away from the dragon.
-Who are you...? He asks.
-The dragon thief? I ask and stand beside Hiccup.
-Uh, Drago Bludvist? Hiccup tries again, but no response.
-Do you even understand what we're saying? I ask slightly irritated. The person then swing their long staff around. It makes whooshing sounds as it spins, before she stops. When she does, two dragons come in, one with a dozed off Toothless and one with a struggling D/n.
The dragons drop them and D/n immediately runs up to me and buffs me around.
-It's ok girl, I'm here, I'm ok, I say.
The stranger then shakes her staff once more and all the dragons open their mouths, flames coming slightly out of them. Toothless and D/n stand in front of me and Hiccup in a protective stance. I look fearfully around. I grab Hiccups arm, and he turns to me.
The stranger then drops down and drops their staff and shield, before slowly crawling towards us and our dragons. She comes very close to them and does a motion with her hand, making them doze off next to us. Me and Hiccup look nervously at the stranger.
She then walks closer to us, putting a hand out fur us. We back away, but we don't want to back into the dragons behind us. We turn our heads away. I show off the scar on my cheek, and they gasp.
They then back away and crouch down.
-Hiccup...? Y/N...? They ask.
-Uhmmm... I say and look at Hiccup.
The stranger takes off their mask and... it's a woman.
-Could it be...? She asks softly.
-After all these years...? How's this possible? She asks and stands back up.
-Do-Should we know you? Hiccup asks.
-No... you were only wee babes... she says and looks away slightly, before looking at us both.
Me and Hiccup look at her confused as to what she was saying.
-But a mother... never forgets, she says.
I gasp and Hiccup takes a raggedy breath. We grab each other's hands.
"...... no. Way...."
-..... mom? I ask quietly.

Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. What would you do? This is the exact situation Sally finds herself in. Almost immediately she discovers that nothing is what she thinks it is. Not the boy, not the hospital, maybe not even herself. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. As a baseline human, she starts as the lowest of the low and has to claw her way up in spite of being tangled in a shifting web of schemes and plots. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short. Give it a read and let me know your opinion.
