《Random x Reader one-shots》Merida x female! Reader part 4

Y/N POV:
Tears brim my eyes once again.
-Yes... no... I don't know-I... I say and sigh.
-That was the scariest thing that's ever happened to me and it feel like I swallowed my heart whole, I say. Merida brushes her thumb over the palm of my hand, and I look at her.
-C... could you stay... for a while? I'm still... scared, I say sheepishly. Merida looks in shock at me, before nodding.
-Yes, o-of course I'll stay. I will protect ye in case another bear comes in here and tries to kidnap you, she says playfully, making me giggle.
-Don't day that! I then say and hit her shoulder.
-Sorry, sorry, Merida says, but smiles playfully.
-I really thought I was going to die, you know, I say and look at the ceiling.
-Yeah, well... Merida says and let's go off my hand. She moves the chair so it's parallel with the bedside and intertwines her fingers with mine.
-Ye'r still here. Ye'r still alive, she says.
-I know... I say and smile slightly.
-Did ye really think I was going to leave ye to die? Merida asks.
-Well, no... I was more afraid of the bear catching up to us, I answer and Merida shakes her head.
-Wouldn't let that happen to ye, princess, she says and I blush slightly and look back at her.
-I know... I smile. She smiles back and before we know it, we're both sound asleep, Merida laid down on the covers beside me, our fingers still intertwined.
The next day, still Y/N POV:
I'm sitting on the grass just outside the castle and enjoying the morning sun. I left Merida to sleep, as she promised to "guard me" last night and accidentally falling asleep on my bed. I had to calm my raging nerves, so I came outside to sort my thoughts.
I take a deep breath of the slightly chilly air around me and close my eyes. I blush as I think of how I woke up. Merida's hand was clasping mine and her arm was around my stomach and I had put my hand on hers.
Then I hear soft footsteps behind me.
-You woke up early, I hear. I look up and see Merida taking a seat beside me on the grass. I smile.
-Yeah. Thought I'd let you sleep, I say and she looks at me.
We enjoy the silence of the wind blowing past us and the inconsistent clinging of kitchen utensils from the kitchen behind us.
-You never told me what the Gaelic words meant yesterday, I say. Merida flushes up.
-It's not important, she says.
-Yes, it's is, I giggle.
-No, it's really not, don't worry about it, she says. I inch closer to her and lean towards her.

-What do they mean? I ask as Merida looks down at me. We lock eyes and her cheeks turn red as she smiles softly.
-Tha thu bòidheach, she says softly, and I nod.
-and: tha faireachdainnean agam dhut, I say. She nods in return. I look expectantly at her as a conflict unfolds in her mind.
-It means... you're beautiful, and I have feelings for you..... she says quietly, as we are so close. It takes my mind a couple of minutes to realize what she said, and I could see the conflict still happening. She looks nervously and expectantly down at me. I blush a reddish pink and smile.
-Tha faireachdainnean agam dhut cuideachd (I have feelings for you, too), I say and a light glimmers in her eyes.
-You learned Gaelic, she says happily. I shrug.
-Just a couple of words but... yeah, I smile shyly. A hair strand falls in front of my eyes and Merida softly ticks it behind my ear. She bites her bottom lip, as if scared.
-Would it be a crime if I kissed you? She asks and looks between my eyes and my lips. I shake my head.
-No... it would be completely okay... I say, the sentence fading out as she moves closer to me and kisses me.
I put a hand on her cheek and she puts her other hand around my neck. We pull away and she smiles.
-Wow... yer lips is more soft than I imagined, she breathes. I blush morbidly, before she kisses me again.
Later that day:
-Should we tell our parents? I ask as Merida paces around my room.
-I mean:.. I guess we'll have to. We don't really have another choice, she says and puts her hand on her chin in thought. I sigh and put my hands in my lap, defeated. Merida then stops pacing and sits down beside me. She grabs my clasped hands.
-Hey, she says and I look to her. She smiles and rubs circles in the back of my hands.
-We're going to be ok... she says, making me smile slightly.
-... Ok, I say and she kisses my forehead softly.
We walk towards the dining hall for lunch and everyone's already sitting there.
-Merida, I'm afraid... I say quietly, grabbing her arm. She turns to me.
-We're gonna be ok. Ok? I promise, I would never let anything bad happen to you, Merida whispers back. I look hesitantly at my father, before looking back at Merida and nodding.
We walk inside together and no one notices
Merida tries clearings her throat but no one listens. She tries again, but we get the same result. I then cough to get attention. Then everyone's eyes turns to us. Our fathers looks confused at us and Elinor and the triplets look expectantly at us.

-Um... Merida says awkwardly and I grab her arm. Her and I share a smile, before we turn back to the family.
-Me and Y/N have been getting very close these past few weeks... Merida starts, making everyone look confused at us.
-So much so, that... that we've caught feelings for each other, Merida says and grabs my hand. I smile at her, and she smiles back. Our parents look between us, as the triplets are still question marks.
-And, I breathe.
-We are now... officially a couple, I say. The hall becomes eerily quiet. No one reacts. Our parents just share a weird look. Then my father turns to us.
-Are you sure about this Y/N? He asks, and I nod confidently.
-She's the love of my life... I say. Elinor turns to Merida.
-... Merida? She asks.
-I am more sure of this than anything else in my life, Merida says and squeezes my hand in reassurance. Elinor and Fergus share a look, before Fergus turns to us.
-Well then... guess you'll get to have a wedding after all, Merida, he says. Glee fills my whole body and I squeal loudly and jump into Merida's arms. Merida laughs and hugs me tightly, swaying from side to side.
Five weeks later;
Merida and I have to say goodbye as this is the day I travel back home to get coronated to queen. Merida and I have been crying all day, but this is our final moment together for a long time. I sniffle and hug her once again.
-Promise me you'll write to me, I say.
-Every single week, she promises.
-And promise you'll never forget me, she says as we let go.
-I promise, I say and nod frantically. Merida captures my lips and a sweet and slow kiss. I put my hands on her cheeks as she pulls me closer my my waist. We let go and I get handed a handkerchief from my father. I quickly blow my nose and dry the tears on my cheeks, but more fall from my eyes. Merida wipes them away with her thumb. We both sniffle and try to smile at each other.
-I have something for you, Merida says and gets handed a couple of books by Elinor. She hands me the books and I look at them. It's the book I read the first time we met in the library, along with some books we had read together and... a Gaelic wordlist.... I smile as I look up at Merida.
-Thank you I... I laugh.
-Now ye have something for the long trip... Merida smiles. We put our foreheads together.
-Thank you... I say and sniffle again.
-When are you going to be back? Merida asks for probably the 10th time today.
-I'll be back for the spring and over the summer for our wedding, I say, remembering our plan.
-So you'll be gone all winter, Merida frowns.
-But I'll be back as soon as I can, I say, and we part.
-I love you... Merida says.
-I love you too, I say and we kiss once again, before I get onto the boat and we sail away.
Merida stands and waves after us and I wave back until I am unable to see her anymore....
A couple of months later, Third person POV;
The people are moving along with their day as the warm breeze brings good times. Waves crash softly onto the shore by Dunbroch and one lonely princess stares out into the blue.
Many letters about love and life had been delivered and received from and to her kingdom in a long wait for this day. It had been perfectly planned and the king and queen of Dunbroch had everything ready to go in case of any last minute mishaps. The three other clans of Dunbroch had been summoned for their princess' wedding day. The princess herself didn't care about all the planning or tending to the clans. All she could think about was to finally see her love again.
She watches as fish and seaweed get caught in the waves below her.
But suddenly loud splashing can be heard. A boat approaches. The princess stands up in excitement as the boat comes closer.
A figure is waving for her and she waves back, happiness filling her dull life once more.
The boat is nearly there and she can see the face of her beloved.
The now known queen doesn't even bother for the sailors to lay out the plank the connects them to the shore, she jumps off and the princess catches her. They laugh as happy tears fall from their eyes. They share a long and meaningful kiss.
-I've missed you... the queen says and tucks away some of her beloveds red curls from her face.
-I've missed you too love, the princess says and they share another kiss, the rest of Dunbroch excitedly running down to the docks to meet the newcomers and to help them unload their boxes and food.
But to the two royalties, the only thing that mattered was to finally be in each other's arms again.

Legend of the Guild: Point Blank
Status: On hiatus indefinitely, because I'm going to be busy and the story is now at a place where it needs major reconstruction. Curt is a young gunslinger from a small town called Ore Town, situated in a barren wasteland known as the Dusts. While sabotaging the gang threatening his town, Curt is forced to take a leap of faith, literally. He plunges into the sea of clouds expecting death, only to arrive in an entirely new world beneath his own. Saved by a young girl using magic, Curt isn't too sure what to make of his second chance of life. When he meets a fellow Duster who had fallen years ago, he's roped into becoming second-in-command of a brand new guild. Guild duties aren't easy, especially as Curt is tasked to recruit fighters to take on the Grand Guild Tournament, where the winning guild takes home an enormous prize pool -- and most importantly, a mysterious ticket to the fabled "Star City" that exists above the clouds. Going with the flow only takes him so far, and Curt soon finds himself burdened with more responsibility than he bargained for, including the fate of the two worlds. ==============================Wordpress This webnovel is written for fun, and everything posted is essentially a first draft. Beware of typos and lack of creative descriptions — my main priority is to get the story out over writing quality. Still, I hope you enjoy the story. Updates are sporadic, but I aim to release a chapter (~2000-3000 words) at least once a week. Average release time is 1 chapter/3 days. I took inspiration from the lore of the MMO, Dungeon Fighter Online (Dungeon & Fighter), and there may be easter eggs or references to the game, but the story and characters have become wholly original and standalone. [Note: Profanity tag is up because profanity is present, but infrequent]
