Y/N POV three weeks later:

I'm sitting and writing letters to people, as our mail delivery comes and knocks on the door.

-Come in, I say. They open the door and puts a letter in front of me.

-It's from chief Hiccup of Berk, he says. I nod.

-Thank you, I say as he disappears outside and I open the letter.

" Hello chief Y/N. Your patient has recovered fully from your treatment. It worked like a charm! She was wondering if she would be able to meet the one who she claims "saved her life"? Me and my wife and our friends will be joining her to explore, with your permission, of course. An answer soon would be appreciated as your patient is very eager to meet you!

I read and smile and pull up a new paper.

"Hello Hiccup. You and your family and friends are more then welcome to come and explore! It would be fun if my patient could come so I can do an after procedure checkup? It would really be of use to my research. Come by Thursday next week, and I will have everything set up for your arrival! You're more then welcome,

I walked out to find the mailman, to send it back via bird to new Berk.

Thursday next week:

I stand and happily await the boat from new Berk. I see it come closer and closer. Until it dock and off jumps a blonde girl, identical to Tuffnut. Well, except that she has two hand marks on her cheeks. Her soulmark.

After her walks Astrid and Hiccup.

-Hi Astrid, Hiccup! It's so nice to have you here! I say and shake Hiccups hand and hug Astrid.

-It's nice to be here, Astrid says happily.

-Alright, where a the genius that saved my life and cured me of my sickness? The girls asks frantically and crosses her arms. Hiccup purses his lips and motions to me.

-Ruffnut, this is Y/N. She's the chief and healer of Erebor and the one who.... saved your life, I guess, Hiccup says. I smile at her as she turns to me. We lock eyes and I feel a tingling in my chest. She drops her arms and looks shocked at me. Time stops as she blinks and her beautiful blue eyes widen. I gulp and blush as I hold out my hand.

-H-Hi, I'm Y/N, welcome to Erebor, I say. She squeals and jumps on me and hugs me. She puts her face in the crook of my neck and pressing her body on mine and I feel giddy. I feel all warm inside, but can't bring myself to hug her back. She pulls away. She looks happily at me. I smile at her. Then I look as Hiccups friends have all gotten off of the boat.

-Um- well, I'll guide you all into the village and my friend there will help the rest of you, I say and guide my eyes back to Ruffnut.

-You can come with me so I can do a checkup on you, I say. She nods excitedly and skips after me as I lead the way to the village.

My friend gathered the group and I brought Ruffnut back home with me. I tell her to sit down and bring up my book and pencil.

-Have you had any fever or nausea since you took the medicine? I ask. Tuffnut shakes her head.

-Nope! She says.

-Alright, that's good... Any dizziness or headaches? I ask.

-Other than my brother? No, Ruffnut says. I laugh and write it down and put the book down on the table.

-I'm just gonna look and see that your eyes aren't bloodshot, I say and crouch down. I try looking into her eyes, but the shadows cover her eyes. I grab her cheeks and my shoulder, tummy as well as her cheeks glow in between my fingers...

-Your soulmark... she begins.

-It's gone... I smile. She smiles and I look into her eyes. The sparkle in the few spots that the light hits them.

-Am I good to go doc? She asks jokingly. I giggle and nod.

-As good as can be, I clarify.

-Good, Ruffnut says and presses her lips on mine. I make a surprised sound and retract my hands, before I melt into it and put my hands on her cheeks again.

-What is going on here!? I hear a sound from the door. It makes me and Ruffnut pull apart. In the doorway stands Tuffnut, all red in the face, the others behind him.

-Woah, a girl and girl soulmate pairing! That's incredibly rare! A tall boy says.

Tuffnut looks in between me and Ruffnut, before scoffing and walking away.

-Well...... who would've guessed that the secret patient would be the healers soulmate? Snotlout tries to break the tension... but fails miserably.

-I'll go talk to him, I say and stand up from my crouching position.

-No, Y/N, you don't know him like I do, Tuffnut says and rises from the chair. She puts a hand on my shoulder. I put my hands don hers and smile sadly.

-No... but I know how new I am, and this is, to him. How I can be interfering into your relationship as siblings... Trust me, I know what I'm doing, I say. Ruffnut sigh, but smiles sadly and nods. I squeeze her hand, before gently letting it slide off of my shoulder.

-I trust you, she says.

-Which is crazy since I literally just met you, she laughs.

-And yet it feels like I've known you for all of eternity, I say. Ruffnut blushes and rolls her eyes. I nod towards Hiccup, as I too leave the building and walk after Tuffnut.

I find Tuffnut standing on one of our mountains cliffs, overlooking the ocean. His arms are crossed and I can sense him basically glaring into the clouds. I calmly walk up beside him and look out over the ocean. I take, and release, a deep breath.

-It's a beautiful day... I say. Tuffnut only scoffs.

-It was certainly the perfect day to meet your sister, I say carefully and look towards him. He grumbles. I sigh when I don't get an answer, and I look sadly over the ocean.

-She might as well just leave the face of the earth. Now that she has you, she'll leave me alone and we won't be "the twins of Berk" anymore, Tuffnut says aggravated. It becomes quiet. I sigh again.

-Look, Tuffnut... I start.

-I just met your sister. And trust me when I say; she's not going to let you go anytime soon. You're each other's safety blankets, you need each other, I say. I can sense Tuffnut shift his attention to me, so I continue.

-You two are basically soulmates too. That's why you're twins. And if I'm correct, I think you will move in us, when the time comes, I says and laugh lightly. Tuffnut looks at me and I smile at him. Ruffnut walks up to us and puts an arm around me. I look down at her and she smiles up at me.

-I know that you two are a double deal. If I get one of you, I get both of you, that's just how it is, I say.

-That's right! Ruffnut nods at me. I chuckle at her.

-Tuffnut... please, I- Yeah yeah, alright, just stop it with all that lovey-dovey stuff around me! It's highly uncomfortable, Tuffnut interrupts Ruffnut with a shiver. Ruffnut laughs in happiness and brings me and him into a bone crushing hug.

When the berkians leave, Ruffnut turns to me.

-Promise you'll write everyday? She says and I nod.

-I promise, I say as she walks into the boat and Snotlout reels in the board.

-And promise that you'll tell me the name of your first stuffed animal in your letter? It's very important, it rests on the trust of this relationship! She says seriously and Tuffnut releases the ropes holding them to shore. I laugh.

-I promise, I say.

-And I promise you that I'll come back next week! Ruffnut says. I smile and we share a hug before they float away.

-We need to meet very often, or else I'm gonna miss you too much, Ruffnut says. I giggle.

-You better... I say and decide to break the ice immediately.

-How else am I gonna introduce my people to their future chief? I say and pull away as the boat starts to float. Ruffnut turns pink in the face and lights up... figuratively.

-I'm future chief!? She screams as they're further away. I laugh.

-Yep! I confirm.

-You hear that Tuffnut!? I'm gonna be chief! Ruffnut shouts happily as they sail away.

-Ugh, just great, now she's gonna bug me, mom and dad for the rest of our lives, I hear Tuffnut sigh heavily. I laugh.

-Oh, I can't wait! I already miss you! Ruffnut shouts and waves. I blush and wave back.

-Hey! Is it too early to say I love you? She asks. I blush a deep crimson and smile so much that my cheeks begin to hurt.

-I'm gonna say it anyways! I love you Y/N L/N! She shouts.

-I love you too Ruffnut Thorston! I yell back.
