《Random x Reader one-shots》Miles Morales x Anxious! Plus-size! Reader: window girl
Advertisement
Miles POV:
I'm sitting in my room, looking out the window with my headphones on. What am I doing? I'm looking at a girl. But not just any girl... Y/N L/N... She's lived across the street from me for almost 3 years now... yet I've never seen her outside. I've seen her eat, and dance and sit in her open window... but never outside.
Ok, that made me sound like a creep... let me explain the situation; I have a crush on her.
She is a girl with bigger proportions.... no, she, uh... she is fuller... no... She's plus size. And honestly, I don't understand why there's more people like her on tv. She's absolutely gorgeous! If I was Victoria's Secret, I'd hire her at the spot. But sadly, that's not how it works.
She always looks happy tho. She reminds me of my favorite song "sunflower" because she always brightens my day.
I see movement in her room... oh shit! She's looking at me! I must look like some kind of stalker. I sit up straight, compared to my prior hunchback position. I can see her turn pink in the face. She smiles and... waves!? I feel my face turn hot. I smile instinctively and wave back. She looks like she laughs before grabbing something from her shelf and looks back at me.
She mouths something to me and I take off my headphones in confusion. She shakes her head in amusement and does it again.
"I'm gonna read now" she mouths. I look shocked at her, before giving her two thumbs up.
-Miles! We're going grocery shopping! I hear mom shout from the kitchen.
-Uh, alright mama, be right there! I shout behind me and turn back to my window, but Y/N's already gone. I sigh and throw off my headphones before putting in my shoes and running outside.
1 week later:
I see Y/N again. Through the window. She's sitting at her desk, right by the window and doing her makeup. I try to wave to get her attention. She looks up and waves back at me.
-Your makeup looks good! I mouth. She looks confused at me. I point my face.
-Your makeup! I say to her.
"My makeup?" She asks and points to her face.
I take a paper and a pen and write a message.
"It looks good!" I write and hold it towards the glass. She blushes and smiles. She writes on a paper and holds it up too.
"Thank you!" It says.
2 months later:
We've been talking everyday now for these past two summer months... but I'm starting high school now and I have to be there during the week, and I'll only be home during the weekend.

I get home from school, after my second week. Saving the world was weird! I think. Suddenly, I hear something hot my window. I look out and see Y/N waving at me. I walk to my windowsill and wave back. She picks up a paper that says: "Where have you been?".
She pulls up the hood on her hoodie as I write a reply. "My new school :/. It's a campus" I write. She makes and 'Aha' face and writes something. I smile as our conversation lasts into the late hours of the night.
3 months later:
I've been another 3 months at Visions academy and I actually like it. During the weeks, I study as hard as I can and on the weekends, I chat with Y/N. But she hasn't been on her room tonight, which I think is weird. So I'm just chilling in my windowsill and listening to music. Suddenly I see a sudden movement in her room. I look over the street and see Y/N slamming her door and punching it. She turns around and I see her bawling her eyes out. I quickly write "are you ok?" Onto a paper and hold it up. She looks at me and walks up to the window. She shakes her head. I turn the paper quickly, when I see her pulling at her hair.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I write and hold up. She shakes her head again and closes the curtains.... she never closes her curtains...
1 week later:
It's Saturday and I'm at the mall with some friends. We just kinda walk around, before I see something in a store.
-Miles, Whats holding you up? My friend asks me.
-Uh, you guys can go ahead, I just need to do something, I say. The shrug and walk away as I walk into the store. It's a small store, and a lady with curly hair greets me as I walk inside. I walk straight to the thing that caught my eye... a matching set of sunflower bracelets.
I immediately think of Y/N as I see it and I get a wave of inspiration... I go up to the lady and buy the bracelets and runs across the mall to an art store, that I go to often. I buy a couple of small watercolor cards that I can paint on, and a cute little paper bag with rainbows on it. I stuff everything in it and I text my friends. They that they're in a candy store...
Another light bulb...
I get to the candy store and my friends immediately teases me for the bag.
-Oh shut it, it's for a gift, I say. It didn't really help...

But I buy some candy, for me and I put the other candy in the bag. I tell my friends that I need to go home and rush away to get started on the project.
The next term:
I haven't talked to Y/N since after Halloween and now it's after Easter. I sigh as I'm walking home from school, on a Friday afternoon and listening to sunflower. The gift bag is still in my back pack. I always have it with me, in case I'd bump into Y/N....
"What a stupid thing... she never goes outside." I say to myself.... But as I look down the street...
I see her... Y/N... she's standing outside her apartment door and smiling down at her phone. She's wearing a pair of blue jeans and a f/c top... And I don't think I've ever thought she's this gorgeous. I almost freeze in my tracks... what do I do? What do I do!? I shout at myself. Wait!
I pull out the gift bag from my back pack and look over the street- both ways, before running across the street. I slowly walk up to her.
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! It's happening! I'm actually gonna talk to her!
I stand next to her, with the bag in my hands. She doesn't notice me, so I carefully touches her shoulder. She looks up at me and she looks at shock at me. And right in the moment, it feels like time stops. I've never seen her this clearly before... her eyes shine a bright e/c color and her skin glows in the rays of the sun.
-.... Hi... She says. I smile and laugh airily.
-Hi... I say breathlessly.
-Wow... I-I... Hi, I stammer. She giggles and she sounds like an angel. She smiles.
-I'm Miles... Miles Morales, I say and hold out my hand. She shakes my hand.
-I'm Y/N L/N, she says.
-I know... I say and then blush at what I said.
-Ok, that- that sounded creepy, I'm so sorry, I say and she laughs. We stand for a minute in silence.
-You look good today, I say. She looks shocked at me.
-Not- Not that you don't any other day, I just have never... I cut myself off as she laughs.
-It's ok... thank you, she says. I look down at the bag and remember why I'm here.
-Oh! Ehm, last time we talked, you seemed upset and we haven't really talked since, I say. She frowns.
-Yeah, I... I'm sorry for that... She says.
-No, it's ok, I... I just found that you were upset and I've never seen you outside, so I thought I might take the chance and talk to you, I say. She smiles a bit.
-Yeah... I have anxiety issues... so I, uh, spent my days at home, and I haven't been able to go to school... but I went today, to my new school, where I'm starting in the theatre group, she says.
-Wow, really? I ask. She nods.
-I'm proud of you, I say. She smiles happily s
-Thank you, she says.
-I Uh, made you this, I say and give her the bag. She takes it curiously and looks inside.
-I thought it might cheer you up, I say as she takes out the card I painted.
-Wow... did you make this...? She asks. I nod.
-Yeah, because... you always reminded me of my favorite song "sunflower" and... I don't know... just thought you'd like it, I explain as she picks up all the bags of candy that I have been storing for her. She laughs and pulls out the bracelets.
Y/N POV:
I read what it says on the card and look up at Miles.
-I saw that, and I Uh... I thought of you, because, you know... You can always talk to me if you need to, he says. I feel tears prick at my eyes.
-Y-you Don't like it? I-I can take it back if you want! Miles says panicked. I shake my head and smile as tears fall.
-No... It's great... I say and embrace him.
He freezes up for a second, before hugging me back. He smells sweet and rubs my back as I sniffle. We pull away and I put on the bracelet.
-This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me, I say and he puts on the other bracelet. He smiles at me.
We stand, just smiling at each other for a while, before he asks:
-Do you... maybe wanna go out sometime?
I smile and nod quickly.
-Yes! I say and Miles fist bumps into the air.
-Do you want my number? I ask and he nods excitedly. He pulls out his phone and makes a new contact. I put my phone number in and save it. I give his phone back to him and he smiles at me.
-Y/N! It's time for dinner! My mom yells from my window.
-Ok mom! I yell back up.
-Text me, I wink to Miles, as I walk inside to eat.
Miles POV:
I blush wildly as I walk up the the stairs to my apartment and into my room and look at Y/N's contact... I decide to change her name...
-.... Window Girl....

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…

Dreamland
Dolores is a lucky girl with a high-level avatar in a very popular game. She did not level it up; she got it through some fortunate circumstances. She is not interested in fighting and levelling; all she wants is to have some fun and follow her own fantasies. If only there would not be all those idiots who intend to kill her, capture her, or simply use her. And those flaws in the game! Wait, what? Those pesky game characters now appear in the real world? And they can do magic? How did this happen? Adding to her troubles, her crush does not even look at her. As Dolores tries only to survive and hide between 'normal' people, she encounters stranger and stranger things that force her hand and, in the end, she has the answers to a lot of questions. It is a slow-developing story. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope to share it with you, dear reader if you also enjoy it. On the other hand, putting it in an acceptable form requires much work and energy. I intend to bring it to its end and not let it unfinished. I hate it when I encounter unfinished stories, so I understand the feeling. This is not a classical isekai story. There is travel between the two worlds, and the game world seems to be so very real... well, this is one plot of the story. This is not an MMORP game story. Part of the action happens inside a game world, but it is treated as a real world. Updates on a weekly basis, at least Monday and Friday, with additional bonus chapters as time and energy allow. Cover art: White Flower as A Dark Fairy by Darkrealmsmaiden Yolanda gracefully allowed me to use her dark fairy as cover. There are many more beautiful works of art to be discovered at her site: https://www.deviantart.com/darkrealmsmaiden Additional Grammar Trigger Warning: As a non-native speaker, I do my best. Unfortunately, this is not enough for people with a low tolerance for warped sentences and... they may want to skip the story :( Well, you have been warned :) I appreciate it when a reader points out a sentence that needs rework. That may spare a follow-up reader some pain and helps me understand where my English grammar problems are. * We thought we made the best game in Earth's history We thought we made the best interfaces ever seen We thought we made it - lifelike But it far exceeded our expectations. Dolores, I hope you're happy now. I hope you're alive now...
