Y/N POV
I had started in Visions academy high school about 1,5 years ago. I know some people and some people know me, but there was this one guy, that I share maybe two classes with, that doesn't know me. Well, I don't really know him either, but that's besides the point. He just has this aura of confidence, this-this bubble of knowing who he is and owning up to it. It's so hard to explain, there is just this thing that makes me feel connected to him.
I, myself, think I'm pretty smart. I mean, I made it here and haven't been expelled yet. I would definitely say that my book smarts and street smarts are on the same level.
I have pretty good grades in all of my subjects, at least a B in every class... In every class, except for Spanish...
It's a Tuesday afternoon, and I've just had lunch and it's two minutes until Spanish class starts. I'm taking my spot by the window, taking out pencils and Spanish books. People start rolling in and almost everyone is here... except for that guy...
-Hola clase, bienvenidos! Our teacher says and grabs the door handle and starts closing the door. But suddenly, that guy comes running in, startling the teacher.
-Perdón por llegar tarde, señora, he says in a slight pant. They have a small conversation in Spanish before he sits down in the middle of the class.
The teacher speaks a bit, telling us to read a couple of pages in our book and then telling us to summarize what we've read. I groan inside my head and slap my head with the book. It makes a loud thud noise and it makes everyone look at me. I notice my mistake and start stammering.
- Lo siento profesora, eh.... Ólvide mi lapiz... (I'm sorry professor, eh... I forgot my pencil) I stammer and she frowns. She continues to talk before letting us work alone. I'm opening my book and I quietly whisper to myself: "Stupid, stupid, stupid...."
I get startled by someone poking my shoulder and I look over it. It's that boy... and he's... holding out a pencil.
-Here, you can have one of my pencils... he whispers softly. As he leans towards me, I can get a clear view of how he looks. His skin looks really smooth and the curls on his head look neatly styled, and his eyes are a rich brown. I nod, smiling slightly at him, before grabbing the pencil from his grasp.
-Gracias, I say quietly. He nods and smiles before opening his own book and starting to read. I feel my face heat up and I'm probably as red as a beet right now. I turn back to my book, wiggling the pencil between my fingers as I start to read the first page.

Mile's POV:
She grabbed the pen and thanked me. I felt myself smile and nod as butterflies erupted in my stomach. I turn to my book, trying to read it, but she couldn't leave my mind, it was like she had locked herself in there, staring at me so innocently with her e/c eyes.
One week later:
Y/N POV
It's Tuesday after lunch and once again, I'm in Spanish class. The pencil that the boy gave to me last week, had been with me like an accessory. It had been behind my ear, or I had put it in my hair, somehow (if you have short hair, just imagine it randomly put in ur hair).
Today, it's behind my ear and I'm picking up my books again, our teacher just letting us work from where we were last week. I had managed to read the pages, but I was stuck on how to summarize it, especially in Spanish. I was bad with words in general, and the Spanish was just something making it even harder for me. We have two Spanish lessons per week, and I still haven't been able to figure it out.
Everyone worked quietly, or whispering to each other. I put my head in my hands as I sat and stared at the blank page, once again wiggling the pen between my fingers, letting it hit the side of my head, thinking it may magically help me remember the words I've learned since earlier.... Nope.
-Y/N, have you written anything? My teacher asks me and sits down next to me. I sigh.
-No, profesora... I say.
-Why not? She asks. I put down my arms on the desk and sit up straighter.
-I can't remember any words to summarize it... Spanish is hard... I say shamefully. My teacher hums.
-It's not, once you get a hang of it, she smiles warmly at me.
-That's just it! I don't! I can't seem to ever get a hang of the correct words! I say agitated. She looks sadly at me.
-Sorry... I sigh again, and slump against my chair.
-Would it help if you got someone to help you? She asks. I nod.
-Big time... I say casually. She nods and turns around. I look at what she's doing.
-Miles, would you be so nice and come here? She asks. And... He stands up and walks over to my desk.
-Sí profesora? He asks in a perfect Spanish.
She asks him something in Spanish and he begins de and answers in Spanish. I'm in awe of how good he talks in Spanish.
After a couple of sentences were shared, she asks the person next to me if he and that boy could change seats. He nods and that boy takes a seat next to me.

-Hola, me llamo Miles (hi, my name is Miles), he says and reaches out a hand for me to shake.
I subconsciously smile.
-Hola Miles, me llamo Y/N, I say, shaking his hand. He smiles at me as he opens his book.
-You needed help with the text? He asks. I nod and sigh.
-Yeah... I can't seem to build a correct sentence in Spanish, I say and smile bashfully. Miles chuckles a bit.
-But you don't seem to have a problem with that... fast learner? I ask.
-I speak Spanish at home with my mom, he answers. What. The. Heck...? This dude was a package...
- How about you? He asks me.
-Oh! No, no... My mom, dad and I speak French fluently, my dad is fluent in German too... I could've gone for an easy A, but Spanish just seemed more appealing, I say. Miles smiles at me and nods.
-Well, respect. I wouldn't dare to try speaking French, even if I wanted to, Miles says and laughs lightly.
-What's the hard part...? He then quickly asks and points to the Spanish book in front of us.
-I can understand the text, but I don't know how to summarize it... Can't find the words, I say. Miles nods.
-The fun thing with Spanish is... He says, pointing at the text.
-The answer is already there, he finishes. I look puzzled at him. He smiles in amusement.
-What? I ask and smile.
-Look, take this for example....
He explains it to me and helps me with the weird parts I don't understand, and we become quick buddies.
It's been a few weeks now and Miles has officially become my Spanish tutor and friend. He's a really cool guy and earlier this week he asked me if I wanted to come over on Saturday and eat dinner with him and his family. Of course I said yes, I mean, how could you say no to him? His beautiful eyes and dorky smile... and he looked so excited.
It's Saturday and I'm ready to go. I'm wearing some casual clothes and I'm putting on my shoes and jacket, mom and dad standing in front of me.
-Who's place are you going to again? Dad asks and I giggle.
-My friend Miles' papa, I say. He nods.
-And you are sure you don't want a ride there? Mom asks concerned. I stand up straight and grab my small bag.
-I'm sure mama. It's just a subway station away, I'll be fine, I reassure her. I grab the handle to the door and walk out.
-Nous t'aimons! (We love you!) Mom says as I turn to look at them.
-Je t'aime aussi (I love you too), I tell them before taking the elevator down to the lobby, high-fiving the guard by the door and heading towards the subway station.
When I arrive at the house number Miles told me, I pick up my phone and text him:
"I'm outside"
I wait anxiously as I see the three dots appear.
"I'll be right there" he texted. I lean against the railing as I wait for him to open the door. It opens and Miles head pop out. He's wearing a red shirt along with a pair of blue jeans, his hair as curly as ever. We both smile as we lock eyes.
-Hey! C'mon in! He says and I walk past him into the stair case. I hear him close the door behind me and starts walking up the stairs. He stops and mentions me to follow him. I didn't move because I had never seen him without the school uniform on, and I needed to get a good look at him.
-C'mon! He laughs, snapping me out of my thoughts. I start walking after him, until we get to his door. The door was unlocked, so he just opened it and walks inside.
-bienvenida a mi casa, he smiles at me. I take a good look around. I look into the kitchen, where a woman and a man are cooking dinner, behind them is their living room and then there's a few doors scattered about the apartment.
-You can leave your shoes here if you want, he says as I slowly take my jacket off. As I hold it in my hands, Miles grabs it from me and grabs a hanger.
-I'm your host, this is my job, he smirks at me. I shake my head giggling and take off my shoes, still having my bag hanging from my shoulder.
-Mama, papa, this is my friend Y/N, he introduces me to his parents. They turn to us and smile at me.
-Ah, welcome Y/N! His mother says and hugs me lightly.
-Thank you, I smile.
-Hello Y/N, nice to meet you, Miles father reaches out a hand to me. I grab it and shake it.
-The pleasures all mine, I smile. He nods at me and resumes to the vegetables.
-C'mon Y/N, we'll hang in my room till the foods ready, Miles says and waves for me to follow him to his room.
