I heard this was long awaited ;)
————————————————————————
Y/N POV
Luna and Ginny helped me take my hair into a stylish hairdo and Ginny helped me zip the dress up. I look into the mirror and smile goofily at myself. I twirl and Ginny and Luna steals over how excited they were for me. Luna didn't get asked, so she couldn't go, but she was happy for me and Ginny nevertheless.
-Off you go! You have dates waiting for you! Luna says, pushing us out of the common room and we walk towards the great hall. Right before we walk the last to stairways down, I freeze.
-Y/N, what's wrong? Ginny asks.
-I, uh, just need to breathe, I say. Ginny nods.
-Would you... look if he's down there for me? I ask sheepishly. She laughs at me and nods. She runs down the stairs and looks around the corner. She then runs back up.
-He's there alright, she says. I smile and breathe.
-You can go... I'll see you down there, I say.
-Are you sure? She asks and touches my shoulder gently. I nod determined.
-Yeah, I'm sure... Now go before Neville gets a heart attack! I laugh and shove Ginny a bit and she walks down the stairs and around the corner and then she disappears. I sigh shakily and smile.
-Are you ok Y/N? Hermoine asks. I look towards her.
-Yeah I'm ok, just... really nervous, I say. Hermoine smiles at me.
-He's probably waiting for you... She says, knowing exactly who she was talking about.
-I know... but another stylish young man is waiting for you, I say, poking her arm. She giggles.
-You look amazing, I reassure her.
-Thank you... so do you, she says, before slightly lifting her dress and walking downstairs, around the corner. I shake my nerves off and finally decide to walk down there. I grab the front of my dress, so I wouldn't trip, down the first flight, turning around to the other flight and walking down there. I looked up and the first person I saw was Draco. Everyone but him had seen me. Goyle nudges him in the ribs.

-Ow hey! He says. Crabbe motions for him to turn around, so he did. I was standing just a couple of feet away from him and his jaw dropped.
-wow... he whispers and walked towards me.
-Hello Malfoy... You look quite handsome tonight, I compliment him. He takes my hand in his and softly presses his lips agains the back of my hand.
-But not nearly as gorgeous as you, he smirks. I blush and smile. He holds out his arm for me.
-Shall we...? He asks unsure. I nod and take it.
-We shall, I confirm and we walk inside the big doors.
We danced the night away and I felt connected to him like never before. We talked and danced and sometimes, we complained about Pansy being a clingy little git. She even had the audacity to tell me I looked like something the black lake had thrown up, but Draco quickly defended me.
-Says you, who can't even keep her hair in check for the Yule ball, he said. She got so angry that she stomped on her dates feet and rushed off. I could only laugh in shock.
A slow dance came on.
-I had a surprisingly good time tonight Malfoy... but I must be heading to my dorm soon, I don't do too well on lack of sleep, I say. Draco chuckles.
-Of course, he says as he slowly leads me out of the great hall. We walk very slowly, since none of us wanted this night to end. On the way, my feet hurt so bad that Draco had to help me get my heels off before my feet would fail me.
As we reach the opening to the hufflepuff common room, I turn to him.
-This has been amazing... Even though you've bullied me, I can't help but say... Thank you, I say and smile. Draco grabs my hand.

-I'm sorry about that... I'm emotionally unstable, he says and laughs awkwardly.
-I've never been taught how to act around girls I like... My father never taught me and my mother said to respect women... But... That didn't go well... so I winged it, he says and runs the back of his neck.
-Maybe you should do things without your parents? You know, I can get a boyfriend without my parents picking him out for me, I say. Draco shakes his head.
-You haven't met my parents... he says. I smile reassuringly.
-No... But I know you... and your not half as bad as you give yourself credit for, I say and we laugh.
-Thank you Y/N... And thank you for going to the Yule ball with me, even though the circumstances, he says. I smile.
-Any day, I say. I turn to the opening to head inside.
-Uh, Y/N... Draco asks.
-Yes? I say and turn back.
-Would you maybe... Want to go to hogsmeade with me this weekend? He asks.
-Do you mean like... A date? I ask hopefully.
-No... no, no, no... Draco says and waves with his hands.
-Oh... I say disappointed and glance away.
-Unless, you, want it to be... He says and I look at him. He smiles nervously at me.
-Sure... I mean, Absolutely! I say and we both smile at each other. I blush and walk into the opening to the common room. I could still feel Draco behind me. I shook my head for what I was about to bring myself to do. I quickly turn around and kiss his cheek.
-See you tomorrow, I say. Draco nods and smiles like a goof. I giggle and walk into the common room. The opening closes and I lean against the wall. I sit down and feel my face heat up to a million degrees. I giggle for myself before reality hit me.
-I'm going on a date with the Slytherin prince to hogsmeade... I mutter.
-Yeah, do you realize how sick that sounds? My great friend and dorm mate, f/n says as they walk past me towards the dorm.
-Oh shut up you, I say, before smiling to myself again.
Draco POV:
The warmth from her lips on my cheeks had begun making me blush. Me. Blushing. Over a girl that thought I hated her.
I slowly turn around and with a kick in my step I made my way to the Slytherin common room. People that walked by me looked strangely at me, like I had something on my face... Well, I did. They way I'm smiling was a first for everyone.
-I have a date with the most gorgeous girl in school... I say before laughing to myself as I reach the parts of school where no one was.
-I have a date... With the most gorgeous girl in school... I mutter to myself again as I throw one fist up in the air.
I've finally done something right in life, I think as I walk the stairs up to the dorms.
I sit in bed and couldn't believe my luck until I fell asleep and dreamed about the date I had with the most kind, perfect girl I've ever met.
Can't wait until Saturday...
