Qu Xiao suddenly turned around and dragged her luggage towards the door.
There was silence in the living room. Her eyes wandered as she controlled her pace, trying to think of a way to salvage the situation.
Her plan was to pretend to be stubborn and gain Shang Yan’s sympathy in order to gain a foothold in the Shang family, but who would have thought that she would mess it up!
Shang Liqing sat on the sofa with her arms crossed. She said mockingly, “Yeah, just get out of our house. You’re such a disgrace...”
Before she could finish her sentence, Shang Yan glared at her coldly and shouted, “Wait!”
The butler heard Shang Yan’s instructions and quickly snatched Qu Xiao’s luggage back
Qu Xiao heaved a sigh of relief and stared at Shang Yan with tears in her eyes, but she would not speak.
Shang Yan pushed the wheelchair toward her and said calmly, “It’s Liqing’s fault. I’ll ask her to apologize to you.”
Shang Liqing widened her eyes in shock and glared angrily at Qu Xiao. Before she could tell more lies, Qu Xiao rejected her first.
Qu Xiao looked down silently and said in a dull voice, “Shang Yan, I don’t want a simple apology.”
“I also don’t want Shang Liqing to repent on the surface out of respect for you. What I want is respect!”
Tears rolled down her cheeks. Her eyes seemed to be able to speak, making him feel pity and even sorry for her.
Qu Xiao adjusted her breathing and complained, “In the past, Shang Liqing took away what belonged to me and humiliated me in front of the housekeeper and maids. I chose to endure it. I thought that I could make her accept me and warm up to me, but what did I get in return?”

“She bribed the doctor today to send me to the mental hospital!”

Shang Liqing was his younger sister. No one knew her temper better than Shang Yan.
From what Qu Xiao said about her, Shang Yan could imagine how arrogant and unreasonable Shang Liqing was when he was not around.Shang Yan furrowed his brows and thought for a moment. He looked at Shang Liqing and said, “Don’t come here again. I’ll go visit you often at the old house.”
“I will change all the passcodes, and the bodyguards will not let you through...”
Shang Xinchen and Shang Liqing shouted at the same time, “Shang Yan!!”
Shang Liqing was so shocked that her voice sounded weird. She pointed at Qu Xiao and questioned, “You are chasing me away because of this woman?!”

Shang Yan signaled the bodyguards to bring Shang Liqing out. The drama at home had given him a headache that he had not experienced in a long time. He rubbed his forehead and pushed the wheelchair in front of Qu Xiao. He looked up and asked, “Are you satisfied?”
Qu Xiao sniffed and looked at the bodyguards standing beside her bitterly. “But they won’t listen to me. If you’re not around...”
Shang Yan waved his hand, gesturing for the butler to replace the bodyguards standing at the door.
Then, he announced in front of everyone, “Qu Xiao is the mistress of this place. You have to listen to her orders and commands, understand?”
The servants placed their hands behind their backs and answered in unison, “Understood.”
The corners of Qu Xiao’s lips curled up as she thanked Shang Liqing for helping her out and giving her the power at home.
Shang Xinchen was worried about his sister. He comforted Shang Liqing and sent her to the car before returning to the villa.
When he returned, he happened to see the bodyguards changing shifts. Shang Xinchen walked to Shang Yan unhappily. “I know Liqing is in the wrong, but you don’t have to be so ruthless to her just for Qu Xiao. Is it worth it?”
