《The Bookstore》Chapter 1

6 years later...
Izuku was busy putting up a new box of books that had just arrived that day.
It kind of excites him, he smiles as he pulls the books out and places it on the shelf, sometimes reads the front just in case he wanted to buy it later.
The news was playing in the background about some newer hero saving citizens.
Izuku was currently in college and was working at a bookstore as a side job to make extra cash.
The bookstore he worked at was one of those cute bookstores that also happen to have a café inside of it too.
Izuku usually went there to grab coffee in the mornings.
He was pretty good friends with the barista that worked there, she would tell him all about the pro heroes that came into the store.
Most of the people who come in are teenage girls who come in and take pictures at the café because its "Aesthetic" or some shit, honestly Izuku couldn't care less.
Others where there to use the Wi-Fi and study.
There was also a lot of regulars who came into the bookstore part that would sometimes make conversation with Izuku about what kind of books that he would recommend.
Izuku was pulled out of thought when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He looked in surprise to see Red Riot, one of the newer heroes that started last year, he was wearing casual clothes and was smiling with his teeth showing.
"Sorry, you must have been lost in thought, I was calling at you for quite a while," he said with a blush.
After 6 years Izuku learned how to lip read pretty well so he usually just communicated by reading lips and writing things on the whiteboard that he carried around.
Eijirou Kirishima was one of the regulars that came to the café to get coffee, as in like probably every morning.
Izuku had never actually talked to Kirishima before because he doesn't work in the café but he sees him sometimes staring at him while he works.
Izuku plastered a blank look on his face along with his whiteboard and wrote down, "Can I help you?"
"I see you working here often but you don't really talk though, you seem really nice and I thought maybe we could be friends," Kirishima said.

Izuku was really confused, Red Riot, one of the coolest heroes out there wanted to be friends with him.
He quickly scribbled down a "Why" with a frown.
"Oh, well I guess you seemed like a cool person to hang out with," Kirishima seemed like he ment it.
"Um yes I guess" was written on the whiteboard as he showed Kirishima.
"I get off at 4:30 so your gonna have to wait like 10 minutes we could hang out and get some coffee and so shit friends to then" Izuku wrote smirking at him.
Kirishima smiled, said "ok," and waved as he went over to one of the benches and took out his phone to pass the time.
Izuku stared at Kirishima and started thinking about how his friends would always send him pictures of pro heroes and text about how "fucking hot" they were.
Sure they where pretty hot but Izuku had other important things to do, like study and get out of college as soon as possible.
Once in a while they would send a picture of Katsuki, Izuku would always look at it in disgust and delete it immediately, he didn't need another reminder of him.
For some reason his roommate was a hardcore fan of Katsuki's, when he first moved in with him he was just exactly like Izuku when he was younger.
Aiko, his roommate, had a bunch of Dynamight posters on the walls and figurines and all that shit all over his side of his room.
God he hated his roommate when he first met him.
Everything was Dynamight this or Dynamight that, it was so annoying, fuck he even had a collection of Dynamight Doujinshi under his bed, which Izuku only knew because he was vacuuming and found it.
Izuku didn't bother to question Akio later because he didn't want to have that conversation.
He eventually got on the side of Akio that doesn't talk about Dynamight all the time and learned to actually enjoy his company.
Izuku looked down to check the time to realized it was about time to go over and tell Kirishima that he's done.
He walked up to him and wrote "are you ready" down on his whiteboard.

Kirishima got up and smiled at him, "I don't mean to be rude or anything, but why do you always write everything on that whiteboard?"
"I'm deaf, I don't like talking so I just use this whiteboard instead" was written down on the white board and given to Kirishima.
He read it and signed "ok."
Izuku grabbed the board again and wrote, "You don't need to do that I can read lips."
"Ok, well you wanna get coffee here or somewhere else?" He said leaving the choice up to Izuku.
"You know what? Let's go somewhere else, I get the coffee here all the time," Izuku wrote down.
"Uh, before we go..." Kirishima said with a blush, "Um, could I get your name first?"
"Izuku" was quickly written down.
"Ok Izuku, where do you wanna go?"
"Wait there's a café over by the dorms where I'm staying which serves pretty good coffee"
"Ok then let's go there"
Like the gentleman Kirishima was, he opened the door for Izuku, which he just rolled his eyes at.
They went over to where Kirishima's car was and got in, one side of Izuku felt like this was a fucking date but like he wanted to keep his mouth shut.
The car ride was kinda awkward because actually talk because Kirishima needed to keep his eyes on the road.
Kirishima was about to say something, but he quickly closed his mouth.
When they were finally seated at a table with both drinks in hand, Izuku decided to start the converstation by writing, "So what made you want to be a hero?"
"Um well why do you ask?" He asks.
"When I was younger I always dreamed about becoming a hero and saving people, when I found out that I was quirkless I was crushed. Even after that I still wanted to become a hero even though I was quirkless, the day that I actually gave up on my dream was the day I was an accident that took away my hearing, I just want to know your reasoning to why you want to become a hero."
"Oh, I understand, well my reasons is that I wanted to save people. When I was younger a couple of my classmates where being harassed by a villain and all I could do was watch as the events unfold." Kirishima explains, "Ever since then I've tried harder to help people."
Kirishima and Izuku continued to talk until it was about time for the café to close.
Izuku actually really liked Kirishima's company, when he told Kirishima he was quirkless he didn't make a big deal about.
"You wanna go to my dorm and watch a movie?" Izuku gave the whiteboard to Kirishima and he nodded in response.
"Yeah that would be great,"
They walked and "talked a little more" until they reached the dorms.
"My dorm is on the 4th floor," they stood in the elevator in silence until the elevator door opened again.
"Woah you are a hardcore Dynamight fan, you don't seem like the type to have all this stuff," Kirishima had his jaw on the floor.
"Pick your fucking jaw off the floor, that aint my side of the room, oh yeah watch out for my roommate he's probably going jump you when he sees you." Izuku had a smirk on his face.
"Wait wha-" Kirishima started before being interupted.
"OH MY GOD, RED RIOT????" Akio stood there wide eyed in the middle of the room with sweatpants on.
Akio realized that he was shirtless and quickly grabbed a shirt off of the ground and slid it on.
Not even realizing that it was backwards he started jumping around Izuku and Kirishima.
He was yelling things like "HOW DO YOU GUYS KNOW EACH OTHER?" and "WHY IS THERE THE NUMBER 10 HERO HERE?"
Izuku wrote down "We're friends, we are just going to watch a movie" knowing that Akio is probably going to bother Kirishima the whole time or some shit.
Izuku glared at Akio basically telling him to back up, he pulls Kirishima to the couch and they both sit down.
"What movie do you wanna watch?" Izuku wrote down.
Kirishima looked at him holding the remote out to him and grabbed it, he starts playing [Insert movie here cuz I don't know that the hell fictional characters watch.]
Half way through the movie Izuku was getting really tired and ended up falling asleep.
