"That pretty much sums up this meeting"

Alfie who was stood next to me successfully ended. I suck my lips in as I turn my upper half and give him a smile. He also mirrors my actions and lets out a small puff of air. His whole was a shade of pink and red since he had to lead the whole presentation himself.

I give a quick glance down to his hands and see that they were shaking a little so being the supportive co-worker and friend I am, I rub his back soothingly and say compliments that made him loosen up a little.

I face the front, looking around the members who were present in the room. I flash them a smile as I ask them the important question that needs to be asked at every meeting,

"Does anyone have any questions or worries?"

I look at Luke first already finding him shake his head, he seem pretty satisfied and proud since his employee had found this opportunity. I then look to Ed who nods with a satisfied look. I raise an eyebrow to the rest of the staff but they only shrugged, mind blank of questions to ask,

"As my PA do you think its a good choice to take this project on board?"

Noah's voice rang through the air. Without even having to look at him at him first, I know that everyone was holding their breath as they watched him with hawk eyes. I narrowed my eyes a little before answering,

"I mean yeah, why not?"

"There's no why not. Do you think it'll be a good choice or not?"

My eyes finally make it's way to Noah and I see that he was in no mood for jokes or playing around. I give him a look but he didn't back down. He meant business. I suck in a deep breath before facing Alfie who was already biting on his nail in worry,

"I mean, give me a reason why this project isn't good"

Like a flash, I could feel everyone's eyes on me instead of Noah. I wasn't wrong though, the project that Alfie had presented had little threats. The only weakness I could think of is their financial state that they are in right now,

Noah hums as he types something down on his laptop. He speaks without lifting his eyes from his screen,

"What if they demand a huge amount of money?"

I give him a ridiculous look before I speak,

"Their asking for help so that they can make kids who have cancer happy again, if they demand money it'll be for the sake of the children"

He looks up from the screen, his eyes finally meeting mine. We both hold our gaze before he questions,

"Do you think it'll work? And if it does then on what terms?"

I scoff as I roll my eyes. I place a hand on my hip as I speak, feeling a little annoyed,

"Are you seriously going to ask stupid questions?"

He stopped typing as he looks at me fully. From the corner of my eye, Luke's mouth hangs open and even Ed doesn't dare to say anything. Noah had no emotion in his eye as he just spoke in the silence,

"Will you answer my question or not?"

"I'm sure you know the answer to your stupid questions but since you're asking then here's your answer; of course it's going to work out. The cause for the whole thing screams genuine and sincere"

No-one dared to say anything, let alone breath in the thick, tense air. A minute or two must've passed before Noah took in a deep breath. My eyes quickly flashed to his hands, noticing that they were balled and white.

Noah took in a deep breath, I catch both Ed and Luke wince like they were praying the best for me, but the bottom line was that someone had to say something and since no-one did, I clearly was. He released a sigh as he spoke in a low, commanding voice that sent chills down my spine,

"Leave"

The single word alone sent chills down my spine and I questioned out,

"Who me?"

Both Stacy and Tom face Noah. Noah also faces them with a bored but stern look. He speaks nonchalantly,

"I'm sorry, did I stutter?"

At his words nearly everyone gathers their papers and pushed their chairs back. Even Luke and Ed. They all mumble something along the lines of 'I'm sorry' and 'we should be going now' Even Alfie who was stood beside me somehow slipped away from my side.

As everyone scurried out the room, the door finally shutting behind them as they left. My arms deflate from my hip and my mouth falls open. I shift my vision to Noah as he just continues typing on his laptop as if nothing happened. I point to the door that was now shut as I spoke,

"Did you seriously just do that?"

He doesn't look but from his screen and airs me. I begin to grow impatient so I walk up to him and close his laptop screen, grabbing his attention now. I blow out a few puffs of air before I speak,

"Are you seriously going to ignore me?"

He doesn't say anything but grabs onto his laptop and turns to the opposite side facing away as he speaks in a monotone,

"The meeting has ended, get back to work"

He rises from his chair and begins to walk away. I look at him in shock, not believing my ears as he spoke. His words me were cold and distant. Like he was drawing a line between us. I tried not to let it get to me but a part of me was slowly giving up. I walk up to him and grab onto his wrist,

"Do not walk away from Noah. Since Monday you've been acting distant. It's Thursday dammit. Speak to me, if this about the weekend then we can discu-"

He only turns his head as he speaks, cutting me off immediately,

"There's nothing to talk about"

My heart pounds at his words but I speak in a shakily,

"What are you talking about?"

I feel him fist his hand under my touch before he turns around to fully face me. Truth is, ever since I was at his place and we did the deed there was a sudden change in Noah. When I met him in the office, he was closed and distant.

I was always curious to why he was like this. I thought maybe it had something to do with work but alas it wasn't. Honestly, I felt like I went back to square one with him. Our conversations were as if we didn't have any. It would always be about work and work alone.

I think both Ed and Luke noticed it. They had this look in their eye and every time they caught eyes with me, it was somewhat filled with guilt and sadness. Today was no less, hence I felt like suddenly bursting with so many questions.

He shakes off my hand and takes a step back. My mouth parts a little at his change in action, normally he would take a step forward and get my heart racing. Right now, it was racing already but for the ominous and eerie feeling instead.

"I don't know what you're talking about"

I give him a ridiculous look before I stutter,

"Are you being serious right now?"

I look around us as I speak,

"Like this isn't a prank is it?"

His face held no emotion and honestly it scared me because my mind was fighting. I shake my head as I take a step back away from him,

"Are you telling me that what happened in the weekend meant nothing to you?"

He said nothing. Not even a blink. He grinded his teeth, his jaw tensing as he did so. No response whatsoever. He finally blinked and retreated away from me and towards the door. My own hands are balled in fists finding it so frustrating that he's walking away.

My eyes dart over to him taking in his stance, his white shirt defining his broad shoulders. He opens the door and both Ed and Luke stumble into the room. As if he was expecting it, he stepped to the side. He gave them a look before looking up and walking out of the room.

Once he was out of my sight, I throw my head back feeling barbaric at his actions. I couldn't even scream at him because he was already out of the room. I look towards the desk before I gather a few loose pieces of paper from the table and throw them up, a scream leaving my lips.

My eyes then fall on both Luke and Ed as they just stare at me with the same look in the eye that they have been giving me over the last four days. I poke my tongue on the left side of my cheek before I speaks,

"I'm guessing you know why he's been so distant with me"

They both compose themselves before coming closer to me,

"Lily he has his reasons, give him time"

No nicknames. I only give them a look before I walk around them, the words leaving my lips in a mumble but I'm sure they caught them,

"Fine, if he wants to be like this then so be it"
