I walk into the spacious room, finding everyone all sat around the large, round marbled table. Everyone had notebooks in front of them and a pen in hand. They all looked my way as I walked in and made ways to the front of the table, Luke spoke up,
"Where's Noah? I thought he was going to be present too?"
I breathed out giving Luke my attention, finally answering his question,
"Like I said before. He's on coffee errands,"
Out of the blue, Ed smacked his hands on the table grabbing everyone's attention as we all making everyone hold their hearts from the fright he caused. He spoke in disbelief,
"Dammit I never knew he would be this whipped for a girl,"
I rolled my eyes at his words, simply disregarded his comment. I opened up a slideshow that I was working on since the charity event finished. I whizzed through the slides as I briefly summarised each slide. I changed the slide so that it previewed various charts and percentages,
"Mr King-"
"Sugarplum you can call his name when your with us. He won't say anything and we won't either,"
I looked around the room, seeing every member present stare at me with an eyebrow raised. I combed a hand through my hair and spoke, mow having the chance to sit down,
"Look, I know that you guys want something to happen but-"
"It has hasn't it?"
Ed interrupted. I give him a bored look as I spoke,
"Do you really have to interrupt my every sentence Ed?"
"Baby girl that's my role in this company and besides..."
He trails off, leaning back on his chair. He looks at his nails, blowing on them like those bitchy high school teenagers,
"... his ego is too big for him to not go into your office. All he needed was that push and that baby girl was done by your most favourite friend. Why me of course,"
"Let's go out on a date please,"
Tanya speaks confidently out of the blue. I face her as she was already giving Ed a dreamy look, her face resting against her fisted hand. I roll my eyes as a groan leaves my lips,
"Hey you can't say that so openly! I was going to ask you out soon,"
Ed replied back, his sentence becoming gradually quieter. I squinted my eyes as I noticed that his cheeks became a tinted pink. Before my mind itself was planning out how to get them together I shook my head, speaking up,
"Guys, we're going off topic here. Can we focus on what needs addressing?"
"Yeah guys, the quicker we get this meeting done, the faster we can work on other things. My desk is piled of work that still needs doing"

Tom spoke, backing me up. I gave him a knowing smile. I sucked in a deep breath before breathing out through my nose. I gave everyone a look once more before standing next to the interactive whiteboard,
"Right guys, you heard Tom. Let's get this dusted and done with,"
+++
"... yeah I think that's doable. I've checked my calendar and noticed that we have another event coming up in like three months. Once we're done with this meeting, I'll type up the notes and email it to everyone,"
Luke spoke concluding our latest topic. We had all been in the meeting for nearly an hour and a half. Noah joined us half way through with seven iced drinks from his coffee errand. Everyone took one iced coffee leaving one in particular.
The drinks were placed in the middle of the table, the last drink standing out the most. My mind went back to when we were in my office. He actually listened to what I said. He actually listened and bought me my red berry ice cooler.
"Is there anything else you feel like is missing?"
I spoke directly at Noah. His attention was on the PowerPoint behind me so when he heard me speak he moved his gaze to meet my eyes. Even though we had many moments together it still astonishes me how he managed to take my breath away,
"What's the next event on?"
I looked at Tom seeing him now panic. My body deflated before rolling my eyes,
"Don't worry Tom, I knew this question was going to be asked. Even though it's like three months away I think you know what it is,"
Noah raised his eyebrow in amusement. Everyone else who was in the room straightened up, as if they were scared he was going to explode any second. Even through the hidden thick tension Tanya seethed,
"Are you seriously going to argue with Mr King right now?"
I disregarded her and held my gaze on him. He himself didn't back out. He smirked now and leaned forward on the table, elbows prepped against the marbled surface. His fingers were entwined, hiding the visible smirk he had on his face. I spoke answering her,
"I'm not arguing. I'm simply trying to jog his memory since we went over it yesterday afternoon,"
Having him sat directly in front of me made my stomach act on its own accord. It did multiple turns and flips making my lower stomach tightened, my thoughts clouded. I looked away for a second and bit my lip. Noah lets out an awkward cough and spoke huskily,
"Ah that's what the talk was about. We can have another meeting regarding it soon. Everyone is dismissed,"

At his words almost everyone drops their pens and scurries out the door. They were that persistent on leaving that they didn't even glance my way. My mouth drops open as I stare at them all. Even Ed who boasted so much scurried off. I scoffed, placing a hand on my hip,
"Wow... those guys were literally speaking so proud and mighty lot long ago, now look at them,"
The door closed, my lips now sealed as my sentence died down. I gulped as my eyes involuntarily made ways to him. He tilted his head and gave me a look. His look was so strong that it was enough to make me stumble on my feet.
He chuckled at my slapstick. He relaxed back on his chair and ushered me towards him. I swallowed the dryness and shook my head wearily not wanting to be sexually frustrated than I already I was,
"Lily,"
He spoke even huskier than before. The way my name left his lips pulled me in a trance. I found myself drawing closer and closer to him. Without even realizing it I found myself stood in front of him. I cleared my throat, failing to say a full sentence.
My eyes focused on his chest rather than his darkened eyes. I was stood a step away from him when I caught him lifting his hand. He leaned forward allowing the pads of his fingers to delicately move up my hand, sending chills right down my spine.
Without warning he holds a grip on my wrist and pulls me making me gasp loudly. I take a sudden step forward, my eyes widening. On reflex my free hand held onto his shoulder for support. He doesn't waste the space between us because he stood tall, closing the distance.
He leans down due to his height, our noses now touching ever so slightly. In sync our lips part releasing short breaths of air, his minty breath fanning my face softly. I found myself taking a small step closer, tiptoeing on my heels to match his tall height.
My hand moves from his chest to the back of his neck making him shiver under my touch. He dips down, lips touching my skin that resulted me close my eyes in bliss. I found myself now taking steps backwards. Him mirroring me until I felt the cold wall press behind me.
He lets go of my wrist and holds onto my waist, giving it a squeeze. I expose my neck more as I lean to the side, the action resulting a moan escaped my lips. I tugged on his hair making him let out a grunt.
My actions made something change between us. Even though we had these heated moments, it felt like it was building each time... waiting for the right time to explode and I guess now was that the time that pushed him to his limit.
The space between us closed. Our fronts now touching. I straightened up meeting eyes with him as he lifted his head from my neck. The lust was there, exposed out in the open. His hardened boner that was touching the inside of my thigh and my sinful thoughts said it all.
I moved my hand from his hair and cupped his jaw. He leaned against my touch and gave a single kiss. My chest rose and fell fast, my heartbeat well above the normal heart rate. I was pretty sure that his was too by the sight of his heavy breathing. I spoke breathlessly despite it all,
"S-stop. We can't do this here,"
At my words he pulled back a little more, speaking in a reserved manner,
"You know this is what makes you so different from everyone else,"
I couldn't give him a reaction since I was still jammed between him and the wall. I leaned my head to the side and gave him look of confusion, waiting for him to explain what he meant,
"How?"
He kissed me on the forehead before bopping my nose, my eyes blinking from his sudden action. He chuckled as he continued,
"Don't worry kitten. I'll tell you soon,"
I pout as he teased me. He dips down, pecking me on the lips. I try kissing him but he was quick. I frowned somewhat disappointed. I tried making him feel bad for leaving me in the dark but it didn't work because he cupped my face and looked at me, trapping me in another trance,
"Join me for dinner at my place?"
He questioned out of the blue. I blinked a couple of times before turning my face to the side, a smiling fighting it's way on my face. I look from the corner of my eye and reply,
"I'll think about it,"
He let's out a whine and protests,
"Come on kitten, you said it yourself. One more date and you'll be mine,"
I pout as I face him. this time not saying anything. He gives me a breath-taking smile, the one that made his eyes shine. The one where the emerald dazzled without the sun. From where I stood, I find myself staring at him in awe.
His face was flawless, just from looking at his soft silky hair to his eyes. I then found myself taking in the small details on his face. He had long curly eyelashes and a small beauty spot on his nose to the neat finish up of his stubble.
Coming back from my mini-dream land of my boss, Noah waves a hand in front of my face pulling me back to earth. He has a lazy smile plastered on his lips as he asks willingly like he had when he first asked me out,
"So... will you join me for dinner?"

When she meets Gabriel, the boy whose family has moved in next door, it seems that she has made a new friend. But all is not well in the village. Gabriel may suspect more about her than she knows about herself, but he isn't telling her. Why not?
