"If I'm completely honest with you sugarplum I was bored and I don't know if you heard what I said on the phone but I want to know what's happening between you and Noah since Ed keeps rubbing it in my face that he knows more than me,"

I roll my eyes as I speak, semi-forgetting that Noah was under my desk, 

"If you want me to be honest with you then now's not the right time to talk about my feelings. I've got so much work to do,"

"Hey if it's got anything that regards Noah then I can ask whenever I please,"

I raise my eyebrow at his confidence, 

"You really think you could say that so confidently?"

He pouts his lips a little and focuses on something that was placed on my desk, 

"Hey there's no harm in trying,"

I give a single nod and put back a pen in the pen holder. I try to think of a way to change the subject and then the perfect one pops up in my head, 

"Hey I never asked. Are you in a relationship?"

Luke relaxed back on the chair and spoke with a smile on his face, 

"Sadly there's no relationship for me,"

"Why do you sound so happy whilst saying that? You always make fun of Noah or me when it comes to relationships. Don't you think you should have a girl who could tame you also?"

He shook his index finger at me, a chuckle leaving his lips, 

"You didn't let me finish. There's no space for relationships for me because I've got the perfect and most beautiful wife,"

I awed at his response,

"I've also been blessed with two kids. I've got the most amazing, sometimes hyper son ever as well as a baby girl too,"

I don't think I've swooned harder than I have just from listening to Luke's quick love life. I think I zoned out because Luke snapped his fingers in front of my face, a chuckle escaping his lips. I shook my head, blinking a few times, 

"Sugarplum you zoned out,"

"Sorry, I can't believe you've settled down! I'm so happy for you!"

Luke rubs the back of his head, a faint blush reaching his cheeks, 

"Aw don't shy away. I think it's adorable. If it makes you feel better I can't wait til I have kids. I'm literally waiting for it to happen,"

As if a switch turned on he smirked, speaking proudly, 

"Really? How long do you think it'll take until you settle down hmm?"

I shrug my shoulders as I think seriously, 

"Honestly until I meet the right person,"

"What if you found them sooner than planned?"

"Then I'd happily have kids with them,"

"But what if they're closer than you think?"

"What are you trying to say? Better yet, who you thinking is the right person?"

I ask, 

"I'm talking about Noah sugarplum,"

At the mention of his name, my face burns and my heart fastens. I speak fast, 

"I don't know what you're talking about,"

"Oh come on Lily. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Your cheeks turn red and you breathing becomes heavy when someone says his name or you see him. You don't realise it but your eyes are always looks for him. Plus you can't argue with that racing heart of yours either,"

I bite my lip nervously knowing that everything that he pointed out was true. It was the undeniable fact, 

"Speaking of Noah, where is he? I checked in his office and he wasn't there,"

"Oh... er... h-he went out,"

Luke raised an eyebrow as he repeated, 

"Noah going out? Where exactly did he go?"

"Costa? Yeah, he went Costa. He said he wanted coffee so I told him to get some,"

Luke scoffed, not believing my words, 

"Yeah sugarplum that won't be work on me. Where is he really?"

"I'm serious! I wanted a drink too so I messaged him to get me one to,"

"Message huh? Since when did you both get personal with messages?"

"Tha-that's not for you to know,"

 "Come on spill some tea with me,"

"Can you leave already? I'll follow you for that evaluation meeting,"

He pouts, licking his lips whilst he looked around the room. His inspection halt to the sofa and I follow his lead when we were suddenly interrupted by his movement,

"Okay I've got everything that I needed to know. The meetings in our office. You do remember where it is right?"

I stand, catching a glimpse at Noah as he pulled a strained face under the table. I quickly roll my eyes and argue back, 

"Of course I do. I've been working as Noah's PA for like a little over five months, not five years. It's the room right next to your office on the twentieth floor,"

He flashes a wide fake smile, now heading for the door. He holds onto the handle and turns his upper body, throwing me a flying kiss. I pretend to catch it and throw it in the direction of the window. Luke gasps dramatically, a hand pressed against his chest, 

"Don't even Luke,"

His face drops and he turned around, now leaving the room with the door closing behind him in a dramatic manner. I let out a small chuckle before remembering that I had a grown- potentially growing crush- man under my desk. 

I scurry towards him and crouch down to his level, pulling him out. He was half out until I felt him depleting in energy. I gave him a small tug, pulling the rest of his body out. The pull was beyond my expectation because he came out quick. The impact following shortly after. 

Due to him not having any balance or a chance to grab onto something he fell on top of me. Like a domino effect I also fell. My back made contact with the ground and Noah hovered over me. My hands were fisted against my chest as we both held our gaze. 

"I'm at Costa hmm?"

His voice was hoarse and deep. I instantly warmed up, my body now burning against his. I looked away from his eyes and moved to stare at his chest, trying to keep my breathing normal but let's be honest it was no use no matter how hard I tried... 

He had one hand close to my face as the other moved some of my hair out of my face. I glanced at him seeing him as he looked at my lips. I soon regained focus and spoke, my confidence rock bottom, 

"I... I need to go to Luke f-for that-"

"I want you to be mine kitten,"

I froze at his interruption. He wasted no time to remove himself off me, leaving me stranded on the floor. He stood on his feet and extended his hand out, waiting for me to hold on. I blinked a few times before he spoke, 

"Lily? Come on my hand hurts,"

I shook my head, trying to get his sentence out of my head but it just kept on replying in my head. I grabbed his hand, his warmth covering mine up like a blanket. With one strong tug, I'm was off the floor and now standing in front of him. 

A gasp leaves my mouth as my free hand makes way to the back of his neck. He had his head tilted down a little so that our noses were touching. My mouth was parted, another breathless gasps leaving my lips. He spoke dangerously low, as if he was waiting for the worst, 

"Well??"

"Well what?"

He bopped his nose against mine in an Eskimo kiss as he whispered, lips faintly touching mine, 

"Be mine,"

Since I had a hand around his neck, I pulled him closer a little whilst trying to calm my insides. I moved my arm so that it trialled down his chest. I smirked before playfully pushing him away. I didn't want to give myself in too easily. I didn't want to be the one hurting. 

Frankly, I wasn't ready for the pain again that I felt in the past. He gives me a bewildered look at my actions. He himself took a step back as he shoved one hand in his black trouser pocket, speaking playfully, 

"You're brave kitten,"

I shrugged my shoulders innocently, 

"You bring out many sides of me dolphin. I can't help it,"

He bites his bottom lip, his bright emerald eyes disappearing into a darker shade like he was turned on. He took one big step forward until our feet were touching. Daringly he grabbed my waist, pulling me to him as he brought his lips close to my ears, 

"Do you have a different side when your in bed?"

I was at lost for words. He pulled back, him now smirking proudly knowing that he was winning. I was speechless, 

"Aw you blushing kitten?"

I swat his hands away from my face as he tried to cup my cheeks. Just as I swatted his hand away from my face the phone rings again. Noah eyes the phone and throws his head back, letting out a loud whine, 

"Can you not answer the stupid phone. Why the fuck do you have it again?"

I give him a stern look before ushering him to be quiet. I pick up the phone, this time being greeted by Ed, 

"Baby doll, where are you? You're the only one that's not here and we need you,"

"I don't know why everyone keeps calling me pet names. I do have a name you know,"

"Hey Noah gets to call you kitten,. It's mandatory that we also give a pet name,"

I rub my forehead as I give up, not wanting to argue with him and be standing here for a good hour or so, so I respond with,

"I'm coming now, Just making ways out,"

"Okay, see you soon baby girl,"

He hangs up the call in an instant. I turn back to Noah as he stood with an eye raised. I grab my phone and took a step forward, holding onto his hand, 

"You need to go, possibly to Costa, you know... so it looks natural with what I said to Luke,"

"You can't be serious can you?"

I give him a look before replying back, 

"Then what will you say to Luke huh? He went looking for you and didn't see you in your office. Do you really want to be annoyed from him and Ed when he finds out?"

I guide him to the door, my steps in reverse whilst his was normal. He lets out an exaggerated sigh before shaking his head like a child. His whole persona changed as he questions out, 

"Will you be mine? You never gave me an answer,"

I flash him a smile as I open the door, replying his question, 

"Take me out on a second date and I'll think about it,"

I walk a few more steps backwards until I spin around so that I'm facing the opening of the hallway with Noah close behind me. I come to a halt, freezing on the spot. I couldn't believe it. I actually couldn't believe it. 

I had a little crowd, all staring at the both of us with their mouths hung open. Someone, more specifically Ed, questioned in shock,

 "Second date?!"
