The event wrapped nicely and since our little tease, all Noah did was stare like I was the target. He dropped me home, my little note; never brought up. A week flew by, the word 'busy' was something along the lines of a blessing and pain as I was always dealing with reports and tasks.

I double checked the folder that I had in my hand. Once I knew that I was satisfied with it, I inhaled deeply before knocking on Noah's office door. I hear a come in and take that as my cue to go in. I stuck my head in first to see if he was busy or not.

Noah looks up briefly and ushers me in with his free hand. I smile, walking in as the door closed behind me. Just as I walked towards up to him, he closed the lid to his pen, giving me his full attention. I return one back before handing him the file,

"Hey, this is the last file that needs your signature,"

"For now,"

He says in a playful manner. I scratch the back of my neck before I chuckle, repeating after him,

"For now,"

He flicks through the papers signing where necessary. Once he was done, he closed the file and handed it back. I nodded once and spun on my heel to leave but he made me freeze,

"Lily,"

He hardly called me by my first name. It was always kitten. Him calling my name sounded foreign. I wasn't used to it. Nevertheless I turned around, he extended his hand out to the chair in front of him. With a questioning look, I take a seat. We both sit in silence before he speaks,

"How are you finding everything?"

My mind goes blank for a minute or so before I just stare at him. He clearly wasn't expecting my silence so he raised his eyebrows, waiting for an answer. I give him a final look before answering,

"Is this like a talk session? Why the sudden question?"

Noah leans back on his chair in a relaxed manner as he shrugs his shoulders,

"I just want to know how you are,"

The corner of my lip tugs upwards as I ask delicately,

"Are you worried about me?"

Intrigued he leaned forward, resting his arms on his edge of the desk. He tilts his head to the side and commented,

"I worry about the things I care about,"

His answer was soft. I look away as I felt the blush rise to my cheeks. There was one question in my head that I really wanted to ask,

"Can I ask you something?"

I ask in the same tone he used to ask. He nods never taking his eyes off me,

"What are we?"

I know that my question put him off. He was not expecting it. His eyes said it all. He parts his lips and my eyes trail to them for a second. He was about to say something before someone intervenes,

"Knock knock! I hope I'm not ruining anything important,"

Ed pops his head in with a wide smile. I turn my upper body watching him as he walks into the room confidently. He takes a seat next to me, getting comfortable. I blink at him before shaking my head, not wanting to even start a conversation with him.

I turn back to Noah as he now had his eyes plastered on Ed. I felt like I was in the middle of something... something that was brewing between them both... something I didn't know about and frankly speaking, I didn't know if I should be scared or not.

Ed starts humming and I turn to face him. He pouts his lips out and faces me innocently. He unfolds his leg that was propped against his knee and spoke,

"I'm sorry was I interrupting you from your boyfriend?"

"Wha- no he's not my-"

"Baby girl the pictures say otherwise,"

"Ed I am so close to throwing something at you,"

Noah growls. I blink, shaking off his comment as I question,

"Wait, what pictures?"

Ed was another case of being unpredictable like Tanya. He leaned closer in my direction so that his face right in front of mine. I leaned away from him, surprised by his sudden actions. He pulls something out from his back pocket and places it on the table, speaking smug,

"Those pictures,"

I turn my eyes to the pictures that were now scattered on the table. I was pretty sure that my breath was officially gone. In front of us all there were multiple pictures of both Noah and I. We were stood opposite each other looking into each others eyes.

The picture was taken so that you could see Noah's playful glint. There were a few single pictures of me standing by the door with a glass of champagne, it was Noah was saying his toast to everyone.

I give the pictures my full attention, now flicking through them. I come to see a few of Noah interacting with the guests and some with me and the guests. My hand hovers over one of the picture, this one in particular stood out the most making butterflies erupt in my stomach.

I pick it up, bringing it closer. As I did so I could feel Ed move around in his seat, his eyes clearly on the picture too. He speaks in a light voice,

"That ones my favourite,"

The picture was breathtaking even in a snapshot. I was in Noah's arms, my back facing the camera. It was clear that I had my lips were close to his ears. The specific scene was ghosting in my mind as I whispered my last words,

"Open it when you need it the most,"

If you looked into the picture you would be able to tell that I had kissed his skin. He had his hand resting on my lower back, his head snuggled in a little. Ed spoke excitedly,

"Look there's my second favourite,"

I move the picture from my face and look back at the table. It was the same picture but from Noah's angel. In this snapshot, you could tell he was snuggling in my touch. His face was covered, hiding his identity but anyone could tell it was him from his physique.

There was no space between us, just body against body. We both genuinely looked like a couple in all the pictures. My eyes move to Noah catching him focused on the pictures that were spread on the table. He looked up to me and we held eyes. Ed chose to break the moment on purpose,

"I bet my whole house and money that between you both... skin against skin, Noah here was in a struggle... and I think you know what type of struggle I'm talking about,"

My eyes widen a little at how accurate he was. On reflex I slap his arm as hard as I could but he doesn't whine, instead he lets out a loud joyous laughter that filled the room. He collapsed against the chair, clutching his stomach whilst doing so.

Neither me or Noah said anything, all we did was just stared at him until he composed himself. Even though Noah hasn't said anything since seeing the pictures, I could still feel his stare at me and I was pretty sure that he kept looking at the pictures that I badly wanted to stare at myself.

Ed wiped away the tears from his eyes and composed himself, sitting upright. He placed a hand on my shoulder and spoke in a serious manner,

"Take my advice baby girl, in his work-filled mind you've weaved a place in there. In his mind, you're already his and he's already yours. No label needed. I don't know... go on dates, kiss passionately, fuck with each other. Do whatever you want because he's yours and you're his,"

"Did you eavesdrop?"

I only ask from everything that he had said. He sighs and uses two fingers and rubs his forehead. He turns to Noah as he speaks almost pleadingly,

"Please tell me that you understood everything that I just said? I know these types of talks should be separate and whatnot but seriously I think you both need to hear it together. There literally and I mean literally so much sexual tension floating in the room!"

He exaggerates. His eyes are wide as he picks up one of the pictures showing it to him,

"Hell the pictures itself are filled with sexual tension. If I show this to Daisy or Tanya she'll also agree with me for crying out loud,"

I shake my head trying to clear my head. I push myself up from the chair and speak, catching both attentions from Noah and Ed,

"Okay I'm out of here. There's nothing between us,"

I didn't dare to look at Noah, scared to see his reaction. Was what Ed said real? Was it true? I could never tell because Noah hadn't said it himself. Ed stutters as he tries to get my attention but I avoid him, walking away from them both and out of the room.

I close the door fairly loudly causing Daisy to look up. She gives me a curious look and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I felt hot so I fanned myself until Daisy spoke,

"Babe is everything okay? Ed didn't say or do anything weird did he? He tends to do that sometimes. That child stuck in a grown mans body is unpredictable,"

I chuckle nervously as I wave my hands in front of her,

"Oh nothing, don't worry. I'm just gonna go back into my office and finish of the last things that needs to be taken care off for Mr King,"

She smiles and gives a nod before going back at her computer screen. My shoulders deflate a little as I walk back into my office. Instead of sitting behind my desk with my eyes locked on the screen, I find myself walking back and forth with multiple questions swarming my mind.

I must've been like this this because I come to a halt and hear someone walk in. I turn around to come face-to-face with them. My heart exhilarating as my lips part slightly...

"Wha-"

I watch as she walks out the room without looking back. My heart hammered fast like it was trying to escape its rib-cage with her every move. Once she left my eyes trailed back to the pictures. I lean forward and pick one of them up. Ed speaks up breaking the silence,

"Are you seriously going to let her walk away? You can't be serious,"

My eyes are solely trained on the picture as my memories fly back to the day,

"Noah, don't let what happened in the past hold you back. That was done and over. Just from looking at Lily I know she won't be the same,"

"You said that before..."

I say lowly as taunting memories lightly resurfaced. Ed lets out a groan and I hear him slap himself in frustration,

"Dammit Noah. Why can't you see that you were both meant for each other? I know you hate cheesy comments but I'm serious when it comes to you both. I see the hidden love and admiration that you have for her and I see it too with her when she's around you,"

I shake my head, not wanting to accept it. He whines in a childish manner as he continues,

"Where's Luke when I need him? She asked you a question, don't you think that you should answer it?"

He caught my attention alright,

"Go after her and tell her that she's yours. Tell her that you feel something for her. Don't loose her man. I see the possessiveness, I see that you want her,"

I roll my eyes already knowing that he's talking in terms of sex,

"And I'm not talking about sex. You may not notice but me and Luke have seen you smiling, like actually smiling! When was the last time you smiled like that hmm? Never, you smile only when you're around Lily or when you're thinking of her,"

He had a point. Lily brought out emotions that I never had. She bought out sides that I had buried deep inside within me. She was different. I didn't want any other male, let it be Ed or someone else to even look at her without having the possessiveness take over.

She was someone who I didn't want to share with. Sure she pushed my buttons when we first met but seeing her more over time... she, like Ed said, weaved her special place in my brain and heart. There was not one moment where I didn't think of her.

She was constantly in my head, let it be at work or outside of working hours. I close my eyes, dropping the picture on the table. I rack a hand through my hair, my leg bouncing anxiously on what I needed to do or listen to. I speak, trying to bury Ed's positive words,

"Are you done?"

He gives me a defeated look, his shoulders slumped in defeat a little,

"Are you trying to get rid of me?"

I open my eyes and answer him,

"You're lucky to be still sitting there with a perfect face ever since you walked into the damn room,"

He scoffs rolling his eyes whilst doing so. He pulled himself closer so that he was eye level with me,

"You know you need me to push you. You know you need something to get you moving. You know you need to get that push so you can grow a pair of balls and get your woman before someone else beats you to it first,"

... before someone else beats you to it first,

I growled at the mere thought of her being with someone else. I stand, slamming my hands on the hard table. A small sensation ran through my palms but it was nothing in my head. Ed looks up, a glint in his eyes. He questions despite knowing the answer,

"What are you doing?"

Without giving him a response, I walk around my desk and head for the door. I hold onto the handle and turn my head to the side. From the corner of my eye I see Ed watch me as he asked again like he had no idea whatsoever,

"No seriously, what are you doing?"

I give him a bored look, my words firm with determination,

"Just like you said. I'm making her know that she's mine,"
