After revealing his sudden confession on me being that the one that had caught his eye we moved topics, talking about random things that we could possibly think of. There were a few times where I was left in laughter whereas other times I would just cringe and glare at him,

"Are you hungry?"

I pout as I give him a stern nod. He shakes his head before bopping my nose. He stands from the floor and stretches his arms above his head, the bottom of his shirt rising a little. I looked at the perfect time because I got a peak of his deep v line that was naked to eye.

I did a double look at his exposed skin. The need to keep on staring burning in my mind as I didn't look away. My mind did wonders of its own as heated scenes played, finally causing me to look away. My cheeks burned up from the mere thought.

He lets out a husky moan before dropping his hands to his side. The exposed skin now all covered up. I look up from my eyelashes, finding him look down at me. He flashes me a smile that reached his eyes and he spoke,

"I'll be back in a second. Let me grab the food that I prepared,"

I scrunch my eyebrows together as I watch him walk from me. I turn my upper half so that I watched him walk towards the car. He walk to the back until I could no longer see him. He opens the boot before closing it shortly after.

He comes back into view. The sight of him breathtaking as ever. I took in a sharp breath, thinking how on earth we got to this stage, better yet... how this all happened to begin with. I watched as he walked back with a basket in his hand. Damn he sure made an effort.

"I know I did,"

"I just said that out loud didn't I?"

He chuckles as he takes a seat opposite me as he nods,

"In my defence you looked cute,"

He leaned forward holding eyes with me before a minute or so,

"Stop you're making me even more embarrassed,"

He chuckles, moving backwards. He places the basket in between us, opening the lid. I smile wide as I take a peak seeing the contents of chocolate covered strawberries, some sandwiches and other things.

He takes the food out and that's when I finally see the sandwiches that were packed. Without warning I let out a hearty laugh. I see him pout before my laughter drains out. I grab the container and ask in a cute manner,

"Did you make those yourself? Or did Lauren and Benjamin help?"

"Don't tease me,"

The sandwiches were adorable. It was a selection from having PB&J's to ham and cheese. The sandwiches were cut in a slanted way, bits of the ingredients poking out. The strawberries that he packed were coated either too much or too less in chocolate. I surrender and say,

"Hey I'm not. You don't always see your boss struggling to make simple food,"

He stopped taking things out of the basket and deflates his shoulders, giving me a deadpanned look. I couldn't help it. I threw my head back, laughing loudly. I must've laughed for a good amount of time because when I raised my head back up he was pouting,

"Way to kill the mood kitten,"

By now my cheeks were hurting from laughing so hard. He moved so that he was now sat beside me, the basket now behind us. Comfortably I rested my head on his shoulder, wiping away a tear. I hummed with my eyes closed, releasing a breath shortly afterwards,

"What's on your mind?"

Noah speaks softly after a while. I lift my head of his shoulder and look at him, already finding him look down at me. I give him a goofy smile before laying my head back on his shoulder as it felt right,

"Honestly nothing. I feel at peace... like all this feels right..."

I trial off, my eyes now eyeing the food laid out in front of us. He places the top of his chin on my head and I feel him nod his head in acceptance before removing himself. He lets out a deep sigh, my body moving as he does so,

"Come on, let's eat. It may not look pleasing but I make a killer sandwich,"

I lift my head, giving him a look. I raise an eyebrow in question,

"With no assistance from Lauren or Benjamin?"

He leans close to me, his emerald eyes meeting my brown ones. He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear, whispering quietly as his eyes shift to my lips. His breath fanning my face,

"With no help whatsoever,"

"Swear?"

I question upon his confident statement. He sucks in a deep breath, the words then leaving his lips delicately,

"I swear,"

Opening the door to my apartment, I spin on my heels coming face-to-face with a tired Noah. I bite my lip before complimenting,

"Thank you for today dolphin. I really enjoyed it,"

He nods, rubbing the back of his neck,

"Same here kitten... for once,"

He spoke the last part in a whisper but since it was just us two I heard him loud and clear. I smile not wanting to make him pout like I had back at lake. His pout was officially my weakness. After we both ate we talked about anything we could. To sum up it was one to remember.

We ended up having a laugh as we then decided to run around like teenagers. Well me running away and him chasing me. My childish self only resulted me pressed against a tree. The heated tension building until we decided to head back as it was getting late.

We both stayed at the lakeside until the sun set. It truly was beautiful. Noah moved his hands so that it was now shoved in his pockets. I bit my lip as I didn't know how to say goodbye. He used his thumb and pointed behind himself,

"I should go... works piling up at home as we speak,"

I pout, not wanting him to leave already. He gives me a sheepish smile before turning on his feet. My words were not quick but my hands sure were. I place a hand on his shoulder making him turn back around.

Without thinking I take a step forward until I could smell his heavenly scent of sandalwood. Even though I was wearing my heels, he was still taller. I tip-toed until my face was in level with his. He takes in a sharp breath as he stares at me.

I try to shake off his stare as I lean towards his cheek, pecking him lightly. I pull back noticing that his cheeks had become tinted. I was pretty sure that I could feel mine mirroring his. My hands slid off his shoulders until they fell by my side.

Noah clears his throat before his eyes trail down to my lips. Anyone could tell that he was trying to hold himself back. He looks at me, giving me a tight smile before speaking in a breathless tone,

"Wow... I er... I'll see you on Monday,"

I back away, creating some distance between us. I nod, my hands now behind my back as I watch him give a wave. He walks to the elevator and presses the number to head down. He turns around for the final time and gives one last award-winning smile.

I part my lips and grab his attention for one last time,

"Drive home safely Noah and remember, don't overwork yourself. It's the weekend,"

"Your late,"

"I know I know I know. You don't have to say it twice dolphin,"

I say as I rush into his office. He was sat in his chair, his arms folded over his chest as his eyes were in slits. I walk up to him and hand him the folder that he wanted,

"Here it's done. All it needs is your signature and boom! Contract done and dusted,"

I smile wide as commented. He rolls his eyes at my childishness before grabbing a pen. He opens the file to the last page, ready to sign. I walked over to him so that I was stood next to his chair. I leaned over his shoulder and watched him as he signed the paper in an elegant manner.

He lets out an accomplished sigh before closing the lid of the pen. He spins slightly on his chair, the file now closed and pointed in my direction. I also let out a sigh as I take it from him,

"Thanks. Now that this is out of the way. I can finally address the charity event that has everyone agitated and restless,"

He spins on his chair, now giving me his full attention. To put more expression, he balled his fist and rested it on the side of his forehead, eyes never leaving me,

"I'm listening,"

"Okay so the charity event that you always hold is today in the evening. You have nothing else planned for the day. You can leave and get ready for that. It starts at six at Roseview Avenue,"

Someone knocked on the door and both our attention falls on the door. Noah gives a tried sigh and tells whoever it was on the other side to come in. I wait anxiously, the door now opening to reveal a smirking Ed. As soon as he stepped inside you could tell he was in his cocky mood,

"I see I haven't interrupted anything. Good afternoon Lily,"

He walks in, taking a seat in front of us both. He rubs his chin like he had a beard,

"From where you're standing Lily, I take it that things have sparked since I last spoke to you both?"

I hear Noah take in a deep breath, Ed words making him closes his eyes. His fingers pinch the bridge of his nose to keep his anger at bay. Being the polite one, I give him a smile,

"Hello Ed. It's nice to see you again,"

I turn my attention back to Noah, continuing about the charity event,

"As I was saying, you have nothing else planned unless something pops up but that shouldn't be a problem. Mark is aware when the event will start. I have told him to pick you up at five so that you have enough time get ready and be there by six,"

He scrunches his eyebrows as he faces me,

"What about you?"

I give him a smile as I speak,

"Don't worry about me. The staff and myself will make ways there. We should be there by the time you make yourself known to everyone. There will be other business parties so it'll look good if we're efficient and working with everything like originally planned,"

Even though it was Ed, Noah and I in the room it felt like it was just me and him. We both hold eyes as no words were spoken. That was until Ed clapped. I shake a little turning my heads to him seeing him give a wide smile. He leans forward against the table and points in my direction,

"I so like her already, have you made your move?"

I suck my lips in, rocking back and fourth on my heels whilst looking elsewhere. The last thing I wanted was to be in the middle of their growing argument. There was no way I was going to get in-between their bromance. No way in hell.

For all I know, they could have a lovers quarrel all they want. I don't wait around to hear Noah's remark because I speak a few seconds after Ed,

"I don't have anything else to say other than I won't be seeing you until the actual charity event. If you have anything else that you may need call my phone and I'll get it done asap. Other than that, that's it. I'll go and work on the other things you've asked me to do,"

Noah looks at me in a daze and just blinks like he was trapped in a mini dream. I roll my eyes and walk away from him and Ed, not looking back. I open the door, closing it shortly after. My back grazes against the door, slightly picking pick up their conversation.

It didn't take Ed long to comment, his words making me instantly burn up,

"So... how's little King boner?"
