"Get in,"

He commanded for the endless time. I fold my hands over my chest and stare at him standing on the curb. We've been standing like this for a good five minutes or so and all I've been getting is the death glare from him.

I was pretty sure that we had gained a few staffs' attention, their

faces glued against the window just watching us. He lets out an exaggerated sigh as he speaks through gritted teeth,

"Can you get in the damn car?"

I reply not backing out,

"I clearly remember saying not to speak to me unless its work. This-"

I untangle my arms and indicate between us both,

"... clearly isn't work,"

He takes a daring step forward, a hiss leaving his lips,

"I am not going to repeat myself. Get. In. The. Car,"

He puts emphasis on each word. I turn my face towards the building seeing Tanya watch us from behind her desk. I roll my eyes, looking back at him,

"I don't know if you know or not, but I've got work to do. This clearly isn't part of my pay,"

I unfold my arms ready to head back inside but he reached out, holding a tight grip on my wrist. He pulled me so fast that it was enough to givea whiplash, making me collide into his embrace,

"I'll make sure it is,"

He growled, his words fanning my face,

"What the hell are you doing?! Let me go!"

I seethed, trying to get out of his hold. He pulls me closer making me look up to him. His eyes were hard, the words that leave his lips now emotionless,

"You're getting in that car whether you like it not. The easy way or hard,"

I scoff now looking at the ground. I mutter under my breath,

"I'd like to see you try,"

He picked up my words and didn't hesitate to bend down, his free arm cupping the back of my knees. He threw me over his shoulder. My view now became upside down,

"Hey! What the hell is wrong with you? You're fucking crazy! Crazy I tell you!"

He disregarded my words and began walking. He turned on his heels now walking. I thrash against his body uncontrollably. I pause for a second, lifting my head to to see him head towards the car.My hair fell forward, moving every time he took a step.

"What a joke. I can't believe you actually threw me over your shoulder just to walk five steps to the goddamn car,"

I shook my head at his unplanned actions. From the corner of my eye, I notice a few pedestrians stop and stare. I close my eyes trying not to get angry. He opens the door for the car and effortlessly places me inside.

Now that I had my normal vision back I felt the blood rush back down, my head now a little lightheaded. I turn my head to the side and give him a death glare refusing to initiate a conversation and neither does he.

He closed the door hard enough to make me jump from the harshness. He walks around the back of the car, opens the door and takes a step inside. Once he made himself comfortable he finally speaks,

"Mark let's go,"

No effort was made during the journey. It was quiet as a mouse. I looked out the window watching the buildings passed. I watched kids run in and out of shops, friends chatting with each other outside coffee shops, people walking dogs. They were free whilst I was not...

The car pulls up not long later at a fancy restaurant. Mark cuts the engine and was soon out the car, opening the door for Noah. I look from the corner of my eye and notice that he didn't even bat an eye towards me. Dick.

He steps out the car and I finally let out a sigh that I never knew I had. Mark comes over to my side opening to the door. I give him a pout, indicating my refusal. I take note how he glanced quickly at Noah before looking back at me. He leans forward and says,

"Come on Lily, it won't be bad. I promise,"

I bite my lower lip contemplating on whether I should get out of not. Settling with the reasonable approach I leave the car, not wanting a repeat like previously. When I stepped out the fresh air brushed against my skin, the sun giving me my daily does of Vitamin D. I smile.

I stretched my arms above my head, looking around the posh area. Looking over the car, I face Noah who just stood looking my way. My smile falters a little and I remembered why I was here in the first place.

Without warning the car drives off leaving me standing on the road and him on the pavement. It felt all like a movie... a story well-written even. Without a word he turns on his feet walking into the restaurants.

I close my eyes for a second or two giving myself an inner pep-talk before running over to him. He takes wide steps into the place make a groan leave my lips. A waiter holds the door open for him and catches me also jogging towards the door.

The waiter flashes a small smile and I return one too. I take note how Noah stands near the reception. Despite being a few steps behind, I slowly come to a stop, taking in all the astonishing and beautiful interior that the place had to offer for its customers,

"Woah,"

I breath out still looking around on the spot. The walls were all painted in gold, each corner draped with black curtains. Each wall had intricate designs, swirls and flowers sparkled in glitter. Every table that was distributed around the area had a vase of fancy white flowers.

Plates, knives, forks, spoons and champagne glasses were all placed to perfection. Waiters were watching carefully with a polite smile in case a customer needed their aid. The restaurant was already filled with some businessmen, all laughing joyously with their peers.

Quickly enough I felt out of place. This place was too expensive for me and it was way out of my comfort zone for sure,

"Good afternoon Mr King, we were expecting you. If you follow me this way sir I'll lead you to your table,"

The voice of the host brought me back to reality as I faced her. I cringed a little as I saw her face caked with make-up, her lips painted with a bold red. Noah looked at the host now speaking,

"I hope you got ready for what I asked for. She's with me,"

The host flickered her gaze to give a small smile. Even though I wasn't close to her I still managed to see her lips tremble. She gives a shaky nod before ushering us even deeper into the place.

Noah reduces his long strides, following the host. We all came to a stop when another member of staff took over. He continued to guide us deeper. I walked past the host, how catching her breath shakily, a hand placed on her chest.

In all honestly, I wouldn't blame her. I would've shat myself by even being in the same room as him. Eventually, the staff member leads us to a private area. I look around, already finding Noah sat down, the waiter pouring him a glass of red wine.

I take notice how the waiter who served was close to breaking a sweat. His Adams apple bobbing in fear, scared of making a mistake even by the slightest. A quite and defeated sigh leaves his mouth as he watches Noah bring the glass to his lips.

He was anticipating that everything was alright. I walk up the empty chair that was in front of him. I place a hand on my hip and question,

"Did you literally drag me from work for this? Watching you sip on wine?"

In the end I decided that didn't want to tire my legs so I pulled the chair back and sat down, still staring at him for an answer. He raised an eyebrow and smirks, his eyes never leaving mine. The smirk made my stomach do something. He places the glass on the table and spoke,

"I've noticed that you only bought juice for lunch,"

I lean back on the chair, taking him in as I respond,

"I don't need to justify myself. Why am I actually here?"

He moves around as he starts to take off his blazer, revealing his rolled up white shirt. He uses a hand to comb his hair back, staring at me. He gives me my answer,

"Do I need to answer to your question? Can't you see? I'm clearly feeding you that unfortunately the company couldn't,"

I felt my heart speed up with his response. Who knew someone like Noah would have a heart? I mean half an hour ago he had a go at me saying not to spread rumours yet here he was, the one who literally dragged me out the cafeteria which was filled with employees just to feed me.

We both hold our stares for what felt like eternity. We eventually blink away our stare game since a waiter approaches us with two menus. Noah grabs the menu from the waiter and demands with authority,

"Come back in five. We'll be ready by then,"

"Y-yes sir,"

The waiter stuttered. I roll my eyes at his behaviour as I speak watching the waiter leave,

"You could've been nicer. The guy was just doing his job,"

"He was ridiculously slow,"

"He was perfectly fine, you're just picky. Damn I wonder how your lady will cope with you,"

I lean forward grabbing the glass that was filled with wine. I take a sip looking up from my lashes, already finding him smile. The cold surface of the glass stays plastered to my bottom lip, trying to acknowledge what just happened.

I'm guessing that it was exactly five minutes since the waiter left because he returned back with a pen and paper. Without beating around the bush he asked,

"What would you like today sir?"

Without opening the menu he orders,

"I'll have the steak,"

"Hey you literally didn't even let me open the menu..."

Noah rubs his forehead as he speaks for me,

"She'll also have the-"

"No!"

I interject, my hands flying in front of me in order for him to pause. He looks by my way giving me a look. I open the menu giving it a quick glance. Hastily my eyes skim the menu. I close it fast, the material echoing around us,

"You just complained about not looking at the menu yet you literally looked through it in than thirty seconds flat and you know what you want?"

I brush off his comment as I give the waiter a soft smile,

"I'll have the carabona please,"

The waiter lets out a small audible sigh, scribbling down my food. Once he had written down my order he turns on his feet, walking away from us both. I face Noah again as I speak,

"You know posh people eat posh food,"

A deep chuckle leaves his lips as he leans forward, resting on his arms,

"I guess we're both posh people since we're at a very very expensive restaurant right?"

He teased. The emerald in his eyes felt like a never ending pool that glistened under the sunlight. I blinked innocently before swallowing down the dryness that built up. Clearing my throat, I diverted the conversation,

"So why am I actually here?"

Like there was no barrier between us he leans over the table a little more, whispering loud enough for me to hear. His words leaves me in awe. My body reacts in ways I never thought I'd feel, leaving goosebumps at the same time as he spoke,

"I want to get to know you Lily,"
