"Is there anything else that needs to be addressed?"
His authoritative voice rings through the room. I refuse to look up so I continued writing notes that the men have touched on,
"We might need to give attention on the charity event that we're planning on in the next two weeks"
I hear Noah hum before he replies,
"Very well. Once this deal is done we'll hold another meeting in regards of that. Is there anything else?"
I hear Luke speak up,
"In terms of the business expanding, when do you think it will be finalised?"
There was a silence in the room. I paused writing, looking up to see everyone all look at me. I give a sheepish smile as I spin the pen in my hand,
"Is everything alright? Do you need a new pen? Paper?"
One of the business men chuckles and I faced them. From the corner of my eye, I see Noah watch me. Luke speaks up breaking the awkward silence,
"When do you think it'll be done by since your Noah's PA? You are making a draft of the contract right?"
I give a nod as I speak,
"Yes, the draft should be done by the end of the week. Since it's Wednesday, I should hopefully get it all done and finalised by the weekend. I'll send to the admin team and hopefully it'll be signed by the other party. A final meeting with them will take place hopefully a day or two later,"
I look up catching Noah's emerald eyes as I finish off,
"I'll be sure to let Mr King know closer to the time,"
I don't hold his gaze for long as I look away, turning back to Luke who just gives me a quizzical look,
"The contract also requires the annual report of the company, luckily that'll be completed by today if anything. All in all, we're progressing successfully,"
Luke drops the quizzical look and gives a proud nod, the men all muttering positive things. The men then give their attention to Noah and I don't waste a second to get back to writing notes to the points that they say/touch on.
Forty-five minutes later and the meeting concludes to an end. All the men leave the conference room, Luke guiding them out. The only people left in the room was me and Noah. I bite the inside of my mouth as I tried to avoid looking up.
Not having the courage to stay in the same room as him, I stand, pushing the chair back. My hands become busy, grabbing all the papers that I made notes on. I don't waste a second more as I turn on my heels heading for the door before my name gets called,
"Miss Cole can I speak to you?"
I feel the baby hairs on the nape of neck rise as I speak without facing him,
"Yes Mr King what can I help you with?"
A sigh leaves his mouth as he continues,

"Listen about Fri-"
"Stop,"
I interrupt. I turn on my heels forcing myself to look at him in the eye,
"There's nothing to talk about. What happened has already left my mind. You said it yourself, it didn't mean anything... so why bring it up now?"
I see him stare intensely without a word. He doesn't say anything so I take it as a cue to turn back around, moving to open the door. Just as I pushed the handle down he speaks in a deep manner,
"You didn't let me finish. I was going to say this,"
I turn my upper half, waiting for him to continue,
"Don't tell anyone what happened. I don't need rumours flying around the company,"
My mouth drops as I just stare at him. I clench my hand on the handle as I seethe out,
"I hope you sleep peacefully at night knowing what an arrogant jerk you are. You're the one who dragged me here at half eleven at night for what bullshit reason?! And yet you have the decency to tell me not to open my mouth for what you started?"
I turn fully to face him as I speak,
"Don't even bother speaking to me unless it's work related. Send whatever you need to get done through Daisy. I'm not sticking around in the same room as you for your bullshit,"
His eyes harden at my choice of words. I don't wait for him to give a remark because I opened the door, leaving the room hastily without looking up. I didn't even take three steps until I bump into someone. I look up seeing Luke stand there, his face holding curiosity,
"How long have you been standing there?"
He shrugs his shoulders as he speaks,
"Long enough... is everything okay sugarplum?"
"Yes everything is. I need to go. These notes won't be written up by itself will it?"
I dodge his comment as I walk away. I head back to the top floor, eventually walking back into my office. I take a seat on the chair and I spin side to side, thinking of everything that has happened. I rub the side of my arms as thoughts from Friday rushes back.
His touch sent shivers down my spine. I bite my lip as I imagined his lip against mine. My thighs tingled, remembering how his finger itched higher and higher as minutes passed. I rub my thumb over my bottom lip, starting into nothing until someone knocked on my door.
I shake my head, staring at the door before asking whoever was on the other side to come in. The door opens and Daisy pops her head inside. She smiles sweetly, speaks from the door,
"I thought you were going to meet us downstairs? I saw Luke and asked him where you were, he said you'd be here. Come on, lets go eat. Tan's waiting,"
I don't argue and stand, grabbing my purse along the way. We both leave my office, a light conversation flowing. We both step into the elevator, Daisy pressing the ground floor. She begins to talk,

"Hey I can't believe we actually left early on Friday, can you?"
I inspect my nail as I speak uninterested,
"Shocker if you ask me,"
Daisy faces me as she speaks,
"What did you say to Mr King to let us out early? After you left he called me in,"
I face her as I question,
"What?"
She leans back on the wall facing me her arms folded over her chest as she spoke in a casual tone,
"Yeah, he called me in and asked me reschedule a meeting he had with Luke. He mentioned that you said that you wanted us all to leave early. He told me to enjoy my Friday evening,"
I stand blinking continuously unable to take in her words. I open my mouth to say something but suddenly the elevator doors open, both our heads turning to face whoever it was. My shoulders drop as Noah walked in, occupied on his phone.
He had one eyebrow raised as he looked at Daisy and then me. Daisy stands straight, looking ahead as she now faced the double doors, me following lead. He stands in-between us, still conversing on the phone; his voice stern and in pure business mode,
"Yes Joshua I understand. The deal will be signed soon. What do you mean? No, it's fine... it's being processed at the moment... give it a few weeks and it'll be done... Yes, my PA is getting it done... do I need to repeat myself... okay I'll see you later on then yeah?"
He hangs up and turns his body to face Daisy. I close my eyes letting out a slow breath, thanking the gods above that he didn't pay attention to me,
"Did you have a restful weekend Daisy?"
I don't dare to face them as I just stare straight ahead,
"It was nice Mr King. Thank you for letting us finish early right Lily?"
Daisy replies as she includes my name. I close my eyes for a brief second before facing them. They were both already watching me, waiting for my response. I give them a forced smile and nod,
"Hey, that reminds me. What happened after in the club?"
I grit my teeth as reply,
"I'm not sure Daisy, I was pretty much drunk. Can't remember a single thing. All I remember is..."
I speak trying to give an excuse but then my mind flashes back to one point during the club,
"Oh my god, I remember something!"
I say excitedly. Daisy looks at me, waiting for me to continue. I didn't miss the fact that Noah had went quiet watching my moves,
"After we split up, I went to the bar and saw this cute bartender. Oh my god, we need to go back. I didn't even get his name!"
I exclaim disregarding the fact that Noah was still present in the room. I jump on the spot as I speak to myself in general,
"I am so going back there,"
"Er Lily, no you're not. You're reckless when you're drinking,"
I scoff as I fold my arms over my chest,
"I am not. I-"
"Can we please stop talking about reckless drinking? This is a company not a cafe where you can have a chat and gossip,"
I look up at Noah, finding him look down at me with a glare. Daisy instantly quietens, looking ahead. The elevator open and Daisy quickly leaves, leaving both me and him alone once more. We both hold our stares until I break first, leaving the contained space.
I stomp my way out of the elevator, giving one last glance before finally entering the cafeteria. I come to a stop, looking to see multiple staff eating their lunch. Amongst the crowd I see both Tanya and Daisy whisper about god knows what.
I walk up to them both catching their attention. They pull away as they both gave me an innocent smile making me look at them in suspicion before I break into a wide smile,
"You know, I don't know if I'm regretting about making you both meet each other..."
Both ladies smirked as they shrug their shoulders in unison. I take a seat opposite them as I grab a chip off Tanya's plate,
"Hey that's my lunch. Go buy you're own,"
I sigh as I nibble on the chip,
"I won't need to buy lunch, I gotta get back to work soon,"
Daisy frowns as she comments,
"Lily you need to eat, you can't skip eating,"
"Yeah you really can't. Not with what happened last time. Go get something,"
I wasn't up for a fight as I just stood up, walking over to the food and drink section. Nothing really didn't please me so I just grabbed a bottle of orange juice. Walking back, I see Luke join us,
"Lily,"
"Luke,"
I say in the same manner. Luke doesn't even spare a second glance as he's back to texting on his phone,
"Really? Orange juice? Will that really fill you up until late?"
Daisy speaks. I shrug my shoulders as I open the lid,
"Nothing looked pleasing to eat,"
Luke looks up as he stops chewing on his food, Tanya also doing so. I noticed that the voices of everyone also quietened down making feel uneasy. I speak uneasily,
"Hey why did the chatter slow down? I know for a fact that I didn't do anything like the last time. So don't blame me for it,"
"Are you seriously just going to drink the juice?"
I look down as I mumble,
"Yeah man, nothing looked nice to eat,"
Luke grabs my juice taking me off guard as I complain,
"Come on Luke, give it back,"
I lean forward trying to get the drink back but failed as he just leans back further away making it impossible for me to reach. Out of nowhere someone grabs onto my wrist. I look at the person only seeing Noah. He pulls me up and without a word, drags me out of the cafeteria.
I turn my head back seeing a smirking Luke and two confused looks on Daisy's and Tanya's face before it changes. I face the front coming to see Noah's black blazer, I mutter under my breath. A part of me already giving up with everything,
"Can't I just... poof and ever come back?"
