"Why the hell am I wearing your shirt?"
He doesn't reply anything but merely breaths through his nose, closing his eyes,
"I am not up for pointless discussions. I have things to be doing,"
He opens his eyes as he looks deeply into my eyes. I think for a second, forgetting how to breath properly. He lifts his gaze around the room before speaking,
"Good job Tom during the meeting,"
From behind I hear Tom stutter,
"Tha- thank you Mr King. It w- was a pleasure being pre- present,"
He looks behind me since everyone was behind me. He holds eyes with someone. I look over my shoulder to see Tanya look at him, she gives him a small nod that was enough to miss it. I squint my eyes at her in question but she never looked my way,
"Please return back to work soon,"
He stated in a respectfully but professional at the same time. He walks past me making my eyes widen a little. I almost trip over my feet as I rush over to him. Before he could leave, I try to grab onto him but failed, ending up pinching the material of his sleeve blazer.
He halts, only moving his head as his eyes look down on the grip I had on his sleeve. He then moves to meet my eye. Don't do it! Do. Not. Do. It. The voice in my head warns me. I give a nervous chuckle as I pull away, my hands naturally hiding behind my back.
I suck in my lips, looking around him seeing Luke lean against the the door frame, arms crossed as a smirk was plastered on his lips. Naturally, my eyes move back to Noah, captivating my own with as I question,
"So er... is that PA post still available?"

So here I am in my spacious office. I look around in my spinning chair seeing the creme walls surround me. A double black sofa placed in front of me on my right. My desk consisted of a big Apple screen, an Apple tablet and a few folders.
I lean back on the chair as I spin around now coming face-to-face with the floor to ceiling window. It gave a breathtaking view of the whole of New York just like in Noah's office. Yeah, beautiful. Why didn't I take this role before? I question myself.
The scenery outside was mesmerising as a small smile makes way on my face. Breaking away from a trance, I hear someone knock and open the door shortly after. I spin once more so that I was facing the door. I catch Daisy pop her head in,

"Dais! Come in! It's kinda lonely in here,"
I pout, she just chuckles. Her heels are the only noise heard as she walks up towards my desk. She takes a seat as she looks around,
"Hey, I can't be here for long cause I've got a little more work to do but I came in to see if you're okay, and from the looks of it I'm guessing you are,"
I give a second look around the room taking in the beauty as I pout my bottom lip,
"Not bad, wanna give me a reason why did I keep refusing all this time hmm?"
She shakes her head as a small chuckle leaves her mouth. Her chuckle dies down as she becomes serious,
"I'll send you everything that needs to be done after you meet Mr King. He's on a phone call with an Mr Davidson.. Just head over to his office in ten minutes and he'll brief you,"
I nod in content as she then moves to leave the room, raising my eyebrows I move to turn on the computer humming a quiet tune. I catch Daisy pause as she turns her head, a dimple showing as she smiled,
"It's nice to finally have someone working here,"
A wide smile plasters on my face as I shoo her off, a laugh following lead. She waves without looking back, finally leaving the room. A couple of minutes pass and I'm logging into my mails seeing what promotions I got from different clothing brands,
"I don't mind if I add you in my basket,"
I mutter as I place a pair of heels in my basket from Forever 21. I look at the bottom right hand corner seeing the time. With a tight smile and raised eyebrows I spin on my chair, getting ready to head over to Noah's office.
I leave the room coming to see Daisy type away on her keypad. She doesn't look up as she just speaks, pointing at Noah's door,
"Go, don't waste anymore time. I don't know if he's done yet with the phone call. He might ask you to book a lunch with the Mr Davidson. Just a little heads up,"
"How..."
"Eh you'll catch up with it now..."
She looks up,
"Shoo,"
I turn without an argument as I knock on the door. I hear a muffled 'come in' and I follow lead. I walk in to see him stood by the window, his back facing me. He looks over his shoulder, facing me with a raised eyebrow. He holds my eyes for a minute before returning back to the call,

"Yeah Joshua, the investor said they'll join... that's good, with their help we'll expand the business and maybe look more into other countries which would be suitable... right... yeah..."
He spoke to whoever was on the phone. I took a few steps forward, listening to the conversation he had,
"... I'll get on it... no not me... my assistant will... shut up, I have someone new... listen, I'll call you back, I need to book a lunch meeting with him... yes I'll meet you later,"
I stand merely blinking at his conversation, huh... guess Daisy was right about that lunch meeting... he moves around the room effortlessly as he takes a seat behind the desk. I walk over standing as he begins to speak,
"I need you to book a lunch reservation with Mr Davidson. Daisy might have given you a little heads up, make sure it's done for one pm tomorrow,"
I nod as he continues,
"I also need you to do a check on Mr Davidson. Make sure that his business is well and running. Keep an eye for any possible fallbacks and whatnot. These people can be sly behind closed doors. Ideally they shouldn't have any since my father has known them for some while,"
I nod, as I play with the hem of the white shirt that I was still wearing. I look up seeing him now type on his keypad,
"A third thing I need you do is get that annual report done. Luke made a crap copy and I need it perfect and finalised. Get that done by the end of the week and-"
"Okay wait, stop. You're saying everything so fast. Slow down dolphin and I can't get it out of my head, can you please tell me how and why I'm wearing your shirt... please?"
He looks up to meet my eyes before leaning back on his chair. I didn't miss the fact that he was shamelessly giving my body another look from head to toe. I felt uneasy with his stare and ended up moving from one foot to another. He gives me a blank look as he speaks,
"You fainted in the elevator,"
My baby hairs on the back of my neck rise as he continued,
"How..."
I trail off before he continues,
"You literally fainted. If I didn't catch you, you would've had a nasty fall and hurt yourself. A&E would've taken long so I ended up taking you to my place. Benjamin and Lauren took care of you..."
He trialled. My mouth only opens as he speaks unsatisfied with an adorable pout on his lips,
"Next time, don't overwork to the point you faint,"
I stood shocked as I gawped at him,
"Who- who's room was I in?"
He sighs as he speaks,
"Mine, no more discussions. I need everything done by the end of the day. You can go now,"
Too stunned to say anything, I turn and walk away before he calls my name,
"Miss Cole,"
"Yes?"
I turn my head only to catch him this time stare at my bum before meeting my eyes,
"Er good job on leading the meeting,"
My whole body heats up as I caught him red-handed. I could feel my cheeks redden, quickly turning away I open the door without saying anything. Daisy looks up from her screen giving me a smirk,
"Told you so about the meeting, and that blush on your cheeks means that something extra happened... so wanna tell me the deets?"
I brush her comment off as I walk up to her,
"Has um... Mr King... like... said anything about taking me to his place when I fainted the other day when I wasn't feeling well?"
She scrunches her eyes, small wrinkles showing as she shakes her head,
"No... did he-"
She cuts herself off as she gasps, covering her mouth with her hands. I lean over her desk covering her mouth before she continued to speak,
"No. The discussions has ended. This stays between us both. I don't need more rumours flying around again like last time,"
Her eyes widen as she questions,
"There were rumours? Why wasn't I aware omg tell me!"
"No, I am not going down that route again, nu-uh. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to complete,"
I walk away as Daisy begins to protest,
"Hey! You can't just leave me with that! I'm only a woman who needs to be updated about her bff slash co-worker!"
I place my hand on the handle to my office as I face her,
"Your go to person is the devil downstairs on the ground floor. Look for Tanya Stone and you've got your reporter of my sad life,"
I turn back to face the door as I mutter to myself,
"Why the hell didn't she tell me when I came to work,"
Biting my lip, I open the door coming to the open, spacious space. I I step inside and close the door behind me. I press my back against the door as I think back to when I was in the apartment with Lauren and Benjamin. No wonder the bed-sheets smelt like sandalwood...
Pulling the hairband out of my hair, I shake my head walking up to my desk. Taking in a deep breath, I only speak to myself,
"Right let's get this,"

Small Town Love
For Daphne Emerson, New York City was her home. The city that never slept, the high skyscrapers, the Metropolitan Museum of Art if she actually had enough money for once to visit it, the tiny refrigerator of an apartment that she shared with her mother. When her mother dies, things change. NYC is left behind and Daphne goes to live with her aunt and uncle in the tiny, coastal town of Fairbury, Maine. Fairbury maybe was smaller than NYC had been, but that didn't mean that it was boring. It was filled to the brim with the typical small town gossip, snippy classmates and, of course, werewolves. Wait, what?!*****Luke Schuyler always knew what was expected of him. He had been raised as the future Alpha of the Schuyler pack, he wrote straight A's in school and was the quarterback of the football team. He had grown up in the sleepy town of Fairbury and so when a new girl begins at school, that also happened to be the cousin of his best friend, he doesn't think much about it. That was the first strike. The second strike came when he saw her the first time. Because Daphne Emerson was his mate.
