As soon as the words left Lily's lips, her body gave way. Legs loosing strength, eyes rolling back. Noah watched her as his eyes widened, his hand loosing contact with his phone. His arm snaked around her waist pulling her close to his chest before she made contact with the floor.
His breath were uneven as he kept watching her as minutes passed. Her body laid lifeless in his arms. Seconds passed into minutes as he just stared at her. His eyes just examining her face as it held content, peace and innocence.
Still holding an arm around her waist, he eyed his phone that was on the floor. He skillfully bent down and picked up the device, going onto his call list, pulling up Mark's number. He brought the phone to ear, hearing it ring a few times.
He glanced up, looking at how many floors he had left. Mark picked up, allowing Noah to hear his familiar voice,
"Yes Mr King, how can I help?"
Noah didn't take a second to hesitate as he replied,
"Get the car ready and escort me as soon as I leave the building,"
Sensing the urgency in his words, the footsteps of Mark was heard in the background. The sound of the engine purring in the background,
"On my way Mr King,"
Noah shifts his eyes once to the numbers,
"I hope you're here because the doors are going to open in less than thirty seconds,"
Mark spoke confidently,
"Don't worry Mr King thirty seconds is all I need,"
"Good. I'll see you shortly,"
The line comes to an end as Noah moves slightly, shoving the device in his pocket. Moving his footsteps around, he lets out a short breath as he moves his free hand effortlessly picking her up from under her knees, in bridal style.
He brought her close to his chest now standing tall and confident, eyes falling on the lifeless female in his arms. A minute or two later the doors opened and a gasp was heard from someone on the other side.
Noah removes his gaze from Lily as he raises an eye at one of the employees. The employee covers her mouth, eyes wide open before she looks at Noah. She was unable to say something to him so she fixes her gaze back at Lily,
"Oh my god! Is she alright?"
A strangled sound leaves from the back of Noah's throat as he merely rolls his eyes before snapping at her,
"Miss Reid I hope you have a good reason to why you're still standing in my way,"
The employee, Miss Reid, stuttered as she tried to come up with a reply but failed to do so as she just said random words. From his vision, he sees Tanya look up from her computer screen. Her eyes trailed down to her friend who was in Noah's arms. She stands, rushing towards the scene,
"Mr King... is Lily okay? What happened?"
"Miss Stone, Miss Cole just fainted, was she like this when she came to work?"
By now Miss Reid had left the scene leaving Noah, Tanya and an unconscious Lily. Tanya blankly shakes her head as she thinks trying to recap their last conversation then had,
"No Mr King, it wasn't as serious as it is like now. When she came in she said she just had a mild headache. She said something along the lines of nothing but water and fresh air can't fix... she must've overworked herself or something,"

At Tanya's reply Noah's stomach did tumble-turns and twists. He looked down at Lily, his mind jumbled from the countless thoughts which ran back and fourth, swarming his inner thoughts. Tearing his gaze from her, he gives a nod to Tanya,
"Thank you Miss Stone for your co-operation,"
As Mark approaches the scene, Tanya took a step aside. He makes an ushering movement, Noah now taking wide strides to the door was held open by Mark. Tanya blinks out from a daze as she followed closely behind him.
She moved swiftly, opening the car door that was pulled up on the curb. Noah halts as he gives a look to Tanya. He ducks down, careful of Lily who was still in his arms as he slid in. Mark rushes over, politely taking the role of holding the door from Tanya.
Once the door was closed, Mark moves around the front of the car, taking a seat behind the wheel, starting up the car. Through tinted windows, Noah watches Tanya bite of her lip staring at nothing in particular. Noah sighs, rolling down the window, addressing the worried receptionist,
"Miss Stone, please don't worry. I'll make sure Lily gets medical attention. Calling an ambulance will just waste time hence I'm doing it myself,"
She shakes her head ever so quickly trying to get out of the daze as she gives him a small smile. He begins to roll up the window before freezing half way remembering something,
"Also, thank you for making sure that today's incident didn't create a disturbance. I shall speak to you soon,"
Tanya nods multiple times as she speaks softly,
"Please make sure she's okay..."
Noah doesn't reply but gives a single curt nod now closing the window; the car hitting the main road. Noah looks down at Lily who was still in his arms. He moves one of her arm so that it was draped over his shoulder, her hair covering her face as she buried her face into his chest.
Noah raises his hand, a millimetre away from Lily's face, wanting to tuck away her light chocolate hair but refrained from doing so. From the rear mirror, Noah's actions doesn't go unmissed by Mark as he watches the hesitant actions from his boss.
Noah gives a strangled cough as he looks out of the window instead, silence filling the car. Being about five minutes away from the office, Mark speaks breaking the growing tension,
"Where to Mr King?"
Noah moves his eyes from the passing buildings to the rear mirror catching Mark's dark brown eyes as he speaks in a monotone voice,
"My apartment,"
I take in a deep breath, taking in the smell of Sandalwood and... a hint of lemon I think? Unfamiliar with the scent I scrunch my eyes trying to figure out where I've smelt this before. In the end, I give up my mind being too disorientated.
I stretch as a unlady like sound leaving my lips, my face going deeper in-between the two pillows. Groggily, I open my eyes, grabbing the light peaking from in-between the pillows. I lift my hand, removing them. I sit up, taking in the unfamiliar room that I was in.
I lift my body off the soft mattress, legs crossed. My hair falls in front of me, resting against my breasts. I let out another yawn as I inspect the massive room that was painted in grey. I look around seeing myself resting on a big king-sized bed placed in the middle of the room.

Black cupboards were lined against one wall whereas on the other side, there was a door my guess being that it was a walk-in closet. There was another door a few steps away, maybe the toilet? I would never know unless I explored. I don't dare too.
I breath out through my nose, looking to the right, coming to see my refection on the vanity table. My face looses colour as I then look down at myself. I wasn't dressed in my work clothes but rather in a large oversized white t-shirt, the sleeves nearly touching my elbows.
My face visibly pales even more as I lift the duvet fearing for worst but sighed in relief as I saw that I was wearing a pair of sweatpants. Scratching my head with a pout on my lips, I push the duvet away, the warm replacing with cold as a shiver ran through my body.
I walk over to the vanity table, noticing that the t-shirt fell mid-thigh. The sweatpants hanged loosely against my waist but I made no move to tighten the strings. I bite my lip as I look around trying to figure out what happened but my mind was blank. Nothing came to mind.
I then moved to the end of the bed, seeing a pair of black trousers folded perfectly. I picked it up, unfolding it. It was a pair of skinny jeans. I shrugged, changing into the skinny jeans which for some weird reason fitted perfectly.
The room was quiet before I heard light footsteps approach. I panicked a little, looking around the room in a hurry. I squeal quietly as I run towards one of the doors. I walk inside, eyes skimming to see the room filled with business attire.
I closed the as fast as I could, crouching down to look through the keyhole. I train my eyes on the vanity mirror, watching the reflection of the door. The handle moves and with a beating heart I hold my breath, watching the scene unfold.
My mind went through the worst possible scenario and I stop creating a new one as the handle gets pushed down fully, allowing the door to open slightly allowing a head to peak in. I cover my mouth, not wanting to my location away. I hear feet shuffle around before they muffled out,
"Where did she go?"
Funnily enough, her voice sounded nice and welcoming. I bite my lip before deciding to make myself know. I stand straight closing my eyes, finally able to muster the courage. I push the handle down opening the door slowly with my head looking through the gap.
Out of the blue, I come face to face with a woman no older than her late thirties. I take a step back squealing from fright as I hold a hand to my heart. The door now fully open. The woman drops a pile of clothes as she also mirrors my actions,
"Dear god, you gave me a fright!"
I stare at her as she now gives me a welcoming smile. Still with a beating heart I give one back, my mind swarming with one question. I part my lips wanting to ask how the hell I got here or know I was. I don't the chance to ask because she raised her hand,
"You may be wondering how you got here or why your here right?"
I nod like a little child. She gives a smile as she continues,
"I was hoping for this day to come, thank you for making it happen,"
"Umm your welcome?"
I say confusingly,
"Don't worry about changing. I changed you myself. My husband talked about you. He literally couldn't stop since you saw you when you first came and now I see why,"
I rub the back of my neck not knowing what to reply or say,
"Why don't you come down for breakfast?"
Without complaining I nod seeing her turn around and leave the room. Not wanting to loose myself in the house I trial after her, finally leaving the room. As we left, I was at loss for words once more as we walk through the passage way.
My fingers trail against the walls like a child as we now made ways down the stairs. Once we step off the last few steps, we come to a wide opening. On my right, I sensed it as the kitchen as the aroma of food invaded my nose.
On the opposite end of the opening, my eye caught the inside of what I presumed was the living room. The interior for that also big like the room that I was in. I quickly noticed a number of sofas placed, a large TV was fitted on the wall,
"Sorry I never got your name..."
I say softly as we walk into the kitchen. She turns as she replies,
"Oh sorry sweetheart, my names Lauren,"
"And my names Benjamin. That beauty's husband that you're standing next to,"
A males voice voices makes me look up. I see him stand on the other side of the counter, a spatula in hand as he waves it around in the air. He also looked like he was in his thirties maybe a little order than Lauren which was expected.
Lauren lets out a deep sigh like she's done it on a daily for him and rushed over, slapping him on the back of his head. Benjamin lets out a hiss as he faces her. He threw a hissy fit like a teenage girl,
"Ah what did I do now?"
"One word-"
"Actually that was tw- ow!"
He earned another slap on the back of his head. he pouted, this time trying to give her the puppy eyes,
"Do not give me the puppy eyes. And breakfast. That's what,"
"Oh shoot,"
His eyes widens no longer giving her the puppy look as he spins around, loosing the pout. He flips over the pancake on the stove. I roll my lips inwards trying hard not to smile widely but it failed as Lauren turns to me, giving me a motherly look, ushering me to sit down,
"Sweetheart come sit down, breakfast will be served in a minute or so, that's if he doesn't doesn't burn down the kitchen,"
"It's nice to know that my wife has faith in me no?"
I walk up to the counter, taking seat. Benjamin chimes in as he faces me, placing a plate stacked with pancakes. I move to pick up the fork as Benjamin states,
"Feel free to add on whatever toppings you want,"
I look up giving a wide smile as Benjamin grabbed multiple sauces, placing them on the table. Lauren placed various chopped up fruit. My eyes rack the fruits as I reach out for the bananas and strawberries. Placing a handful of each as I also grab the chocolate sauce,
"Ah I see our lady went for the classic,"
I look up, a proud smile on my face as I nod. They both take a seat opposite me as they watched me, their eyes holding concern. Half-way through eating, Benjamin speaks up breaking the comfortable silence,
"Lily do you remember what happened two days ago?"
I instantly stop chewing as my grip on the fork loosens, falling onto the plate. I sallow the last slice of pancake as I scrunch my eyebrows together,
"Two days... are you sure about that? I thought it was just a overnight thing... well, it is a overnight thing most times..."
I trail off, Benjamin gives a worried looks as he speaks,
"Lily you were knocked out for two days straight. The doctor who checked on you said you really overworked yourself and that your body lacked the vitamins and water intake..."
I slouch back on the chair blinking as I tried to take in what he said but found it hard to do so. After being silent for a minute or so Lauren speaks,
"Do you remember how you fainted sweetheart?"
I ponder for a second before I speak,
"All I remember is dropping off some files for my boss... and then... waiting in the lift..."
My speech falters as I could feel my face pale. I was missing something... something important... what was it? Almost instantly, I look around myself before looking at the couple.
They both gave a concerned look at each other. Sharply remembering, I slam my hands on the table surprising both Lauren and Benjamin. They both shook from my loudness, both holding a hand on top of their chest as I only exclaim the only worry in my mind,
"The meeting!"
