Stephanie was just an excuse to get my mind of her, but it didn't help. I've tried everything and nothing worked, instead it just made me take multiple cold showers... fucking hell.
There had not been one single female which made my mind drift away and make me imagine things like she did. She was imprinted in my mind. She was like something I never had... something that I craved and something that I wanted so badly but knew I couldn't touch.
The bomb that I dropped on her back in the cafeteria was also a shock for me. I didn't know what happened but something clicked. There was something that stood out from her. She wasn't like the others.
She didn't wear heavy make-up, she didn't throw herself at me or grab my attention.
You could say that it all started from the moment she fell in my arms as ironic and systematically scripted as it sounds. Since then she made it into the picture. It was from then onward that she made herself known. She had already weaved her way up in my head.
The first time when she ran away, I was flustered. I had girls running, desperately wanting to be close by me. I had girls swooning over me but her... she just ran away and only looked back once; never looking for the second time.
Indeed I wasn't planning to see her again but clearly things happen, for the best? I had no fucking clue. It was completely given that the person who fell into my arms was innocent and almost fragile but then I saw her in my office, and knew she was one of a kind.
From that moment I knew she caught my attention one hundred percent.
It was clear that she wasn't your ordinary girl. She was literally the definition of one of a kind. In other words, she was limited. And as possessive as I can be, I needed her. No, wanted her.
She was the thing that felt missing. She was the thing that drove me crazy and I knew one thing for sure...
There was no way I was going to let her slip away that easily.
She took a seat opposite the desk, her attention glued to the file in her hands as she spoke confidently like she had done it before. Now I can see what Luke meant. The voice in my head chimed. Everything around me was mute. I only saw her lips move but no words were audible.
Was that even normal???
Even though I couldn't hear a single thing I knew that I was convinced. I asked questions already sensing that she had the correct answers for them all. I ask her one question in particular, assessing her fully as she pouted looking at the ceiling before giving a response.
Suddenly she halts in her speech. She places her arms on the desk, her eyes burning into mine. For a second I felt all over the place. My mind stopped processing things until her words were now heard. The words that leave her pink lips came out strong, fierce and confident.

"... they've recently had a offer from one of our opposing party,"
Her eyes sparkled as she spoke,
"If I were you, I'd grab'em before they do,"
I felt my body react on its own. My pants suddenly feeling tighter than it was fifteen minutes ago. I suck in a sudden deep breath, trying to keep my emotions at bay but it wasn't helping as she kept eye contact with me, not backing down. Fuck.
Once again, everything around her fades and everything that she spoke slipped through my mind as she alone invaded my mind once more. My eyes trail down to her simple yet breathtaking outfit which hugged her curves in all the right places.
My eyes trail back to her lips wanting to feel them against my own but I held back. The r-rated thoughts raiding my mind, scenarios buildings as one popped up one after the other again and again. You know you want to make her scream your name.
The voice in my head sang. I blink out of my daze, my inner-conscious fighting against it. It was a battle right now ever since she fell into my arms. It was that very moment when I started to rethink my thoughts. Why was it so hard to get her off my mind? Dammit.
A grunt leaves from the back of my throat as I throw my head back. My hand combing back my hair making it messy as I tried to remove her from my mind but failed effortlessly,
"Mr King... what's wrong? Did I say something? I know that you're all about competition and wanting to be number one... did I say the wrong comment?"
My hand falls onto my lap, feeling my slightly hardened member. Naturally she pops into mind. I lift my head seeing her give me a confused look. Her eyes trail to my hair whilst she bit her lip, her fingers creating small circles on the back of her palms that were placed on the desk.
She clearly picked up on me staring at her because she hides her hands, placing them on her lap. Looking away I mutter to myself,
"If only you knew kitten... if know you knew,"
As if a switch was turned on, I turn away from her, tearing my gaze so that I was no looking at my computer screen working on a spreadsheet. I tried my hardest to keep my eyes focused on the screen rather than her but failed miserably as my hormones messed up my mind.
I thought that if I ignored her I could calm down but even that didn't work. She had me worked up too much that I needed to call Stephanie back calm down. Not wanting to resort to that I close my eyes for a minute or so, trying to calm myself down.
I told myself a self mantra, now finally being able to compose myself. I reopen my eyes and look at the screen, my fingers moving fast. To my best ability I tried to ignore her but I hesitated as she spoke quietly,

"Is there anything else that I should do?"
I look down at my keyboard before facing her.
I blink for a few seconds taking in her bare-faced innocent face. I glanced at the computer screen before re-looking at her. I opened my mouth to tell her that she could leave but she beats me to it,
"Wait,"
She stands with her index finger raised. She clicks her fingers together as she moves around from the chair; mainly speaking to herself,
"I forgot to get something else,"
I felt myself smile at her sudden movements, my body relaxing by leaning back on the chair. She stopped trying to remember something. When she does remember she shuffles her way to the door, hand already holding the door handle. She clicks her fingers, finally remembering.
"Give me a two minutes tops,"
She commented as she spun on her feet,
"What the..."
I speaks low but my sentence comes to a end as she opens the door, running out. The door closes behind her and I find myself staring at the door, trying to think why she left all of sudden.
My eyes moved uneasily between my Rolex and the door... specifically waiting for her. I gave up once it hit the five minute mark. I muttered to myself,
"This is ridiculous. What the actual hell am I doing? I should be mad at her. Firing her. No-one ever got in the way of working and all of a sudden she randomly and magically comes into my life and changes things. This is bullshit. This is all that idiots fault,"
I throw a pen in frustration at the wall that was right beside the door. Just then the door opens and she walks. She eyes the pen that was besides her. She then lifts her head and faces me, giving me questioning look before walking over to me.
She put me in a trance. My eyes racked her body, wanting my hands all over her. Wanting to make her feel good. I was so distracted that once she was close enough I saw her carrying a cup in her hand. She moves a few pieces of paper before placing the steaming cup in front of me.
"Conner told me get you coffee since you have a meeting soon. Creamy, three shots of espresso and half a spoon of sugar,"
She states like a pro. I rested on my chair, taken back by her actions. I cross my arms over my chest, her eyes following my actions. Shocked clearly an understatement. She gulped from doing so.
In my head, I wanted to rewind everything back from the day she fell into arms. I wanted to redo the whole misshape that happened. I thought wrong of this girl and to make it worse, I craved more of her.
I sucked in a breath before sitting up straight. I hold the cup by the handle and bring the rim of the cup to my lips. I take a sip, a nod following shortly satisfied by the taste,
"How did you- no that's the wrong question to ask. Who told you how to make my coffee?"
She shrugs her shoulders as she moved to sit back down, this time comfortably,
"Lu did"
"Lu?"
I question,
"Yeah you know Luke. He is now to be addressed as Lu if we're talking about him,"
I bite back the laughter, My lips touching the rim of the cup again, my eyes still focused on her,
"Speaking of pet names dolphin, I should be off,"
I choke on the coffee as I stare at her, her attention no on her nails. She looks back at me and smiles sweetly,
"What? Don't like the little pet name I gave? Don't worry. I won't tarnish your status,"
She leans forward as she cups her mouth with her hand, whispering like she had the biggest secret ever,
"I'll only call you dolphin when it's just you and me alone,"
I place the cup down, my eyes glued to the desk, no longer looking at her. In retaliation, my voice comes out low and calm,
"Kitten,"
I look up through my eyelashes, now catching her more alert and more awake. The playfulness disappearing quick,
"Don't test my patience kitten. There's a place for everything,"
"Hey you're the one who started it. You can't really blame me,"
I take a deep breath closing my eyes in the process of doing so,
"Just leave before you regret opening your mouth,"
"And why would I do that dolphin?"
I release a long breath from my nose, my eyes locking with hers. An idea popped into my head as I spoke, a smirk now finding its way to my lips in success,
"I mean if you really want to call me that you can but on one condition. You have to bring all your things here and make yourself comfortable like you are right now in my room,"
Her face falls and she gives me a glare,
"It's not happening. How many times do I have to tell you?"
I shrug leaning back on my chair, liking the scene in front of me,
"You're seriously not going to drop it will you?"
I only shrug my shoulders not giving her a straight answer,
"Seriously dolphin, I told you many times already. You can't make me work on this floor. No amount of work you give me will change my mind Mr King,"
She dropped the pet name. As soon as she called me formally I felt something stir inside of me. I narrowed my eyes on her as she stands up now heading for the door. I speak just as she moves to push the door handle down
"Is that a challenge Miss Cole?"
She turns her head so that she was looking at me from over her shoulder, her hair following lead as she spoke with determination,
"I'll accept any challenge you throw at me dolphin. I won't give up without a fight,"

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
