"What are you-"

"Who do you think you are to do and say as you please? You must've forgotten who you were talking with kitten,"

I open my mouth only to seal my lips together, too stunned to say anything,

"I don't know if you've forgotten kitten, but mornings actions need to be addressed. So I suggest you stay put and listen to what I have to say,"

I lean back, seeing him look down at me deeply. My eyes roam his, my hand that was placed on his chest feeling his heart beating fast, equally matching mine... but the difference? Mine was about to explode.

I tried getting out of his touch but it only made him grunt. His arms tighten around my frame, his hand sliding lower until it rested above the rim of my skinny jeans. He used his energy to pull my body into his; slamming my front against his; igniting my whole body.

Too stunned to respond or continue to fight with him and I, like the coward I was, avoid his eyes. We stay silent for a minute or two, our chests moving in sync, our breaths also in sync. He speaks authoritatively,

"Listen carefully to what I say, you're gonna sit and listen to what I have to say. Then you are dismissed. do you understand?"

I look back to him through my eyelashes and give one single nod; not daring to go against him any further. He let's out a long breath and he removes his hand. He turns his face to the side, showing me his defined, faintly filled with stubble jawline.

Upon removing physical contact, my mind yearned to guide his hand to where it was, the comfort and desire depleting as he lifts his hand to comb his hair in frustration before turning away fully, now walking back to his desk without giving ]]a final look.

He moves so that he stood behind the desk, now taking a seat in the spinning chair. I couldn't move, still paralysed by what had just happened,

"I don't have all day kitten,"

Snapping out of a daze, I shake my head and walk up to the vacant spinning chair opposite him. I sit down, biting my lip once more. The nerves building up. As I sat, he leaned back on his chair, eyes fixed on his Apple screen. I wait for him to speak first, unaware of what to expect.

He then propped his elbows on each side of the chair, entwining his fingers together. The vibes he had as like he was a mafia or something. He was utterly flawless. If I was to interpret him and have a mission of finding a weakness of his, I wouldn't find one. Literally.

"I should really fire you, you know kitten,"

I pull a face as I sigh, reiterating,

"I told you not to call me that, I have a name,"

He gives me a straight face as he states,

"Did I not ask you what your name was before? You never told me anything, so I took the liberty to call you kitten, kitten,"

I bite my lip as I look down at my unclean skinny jeans,

"Lily,"

I whisper,

"What?"

He calls almost a second later,

"My names Lily,"

I look up meeting his eyes,

"Now stop calling me kitten,"

He was the one to look away as he lifts a finger, scratching the side of his head. He pouts before giving a quick response,

"No,"

My interest in the creme floor suddenly disappears as my head moves for a split second taking in what he said. I lick the top set of my teeth as I speak, again without giving another pep-talk in my head,

"Listen, I barely know you and yet the first thing you do is call me kitten, are we addressing each other using our favourite animals? I might as well call you dolphin since I love dolphins like mr... mr..."

I glance down at the name plate; regret flashing in my head in neon red,

"Mr CEO..."

I trailed off as I read the name plate again. I suck in a deep breath as I whine, spinning side-to-side on the chair,

"Okay that sounded better in my head... I'm in trouble aren't I?"

I drown out, moving my gaze back to the floor that looked way more interesting than the man in front of me. I had the urge to look up... so I do... and I fucking regretted it straight away... I come to see a motionless Noah in front of me. He speaks,

"Kitten I don't know how the hell you made it into the company, but this is not a playground. I'm not taking your childish antics,"

He leans forward, placing his hands on the desk,

"Get your head straight or you're fucking fired,"

I only stare at the sudden change,

"Stop gawking at me it's fucking irritating,"

My mouth drops at his language. He was clearing done giving me a lecture as he then focused back on his computer typing away. Without looking at me, he spoke in a monotone voice with no hint of humour whatsoever,

"Luke clearly must see something in you if he put your name forward... yet I beg to differ,"

He says as he looks at me head to waist since it was visible to him, like he was trying to decode me. He pauses typing, speaking, like he was trying to persuade himself,

"I will however consider his opinions. In the meantime, return back to your post and for the love of god, try not cross paths with me I don't want to save the damsel in distress once more. You're dismissed. Close the door on your way out,"

I just... stare. It was the only thing I could do. He continued to type on his computer like I wasn't even in the room anymore. His fingers moved fast and time-to-time he looked over the papers that was laid in front of him.

He picks one of them up; re-examining it as if I was invisible. I scoff, rolling my eyes at the words that left his mouth. His words whisper in my ears leaving me dumbfounded. I stand up, pushing the chair away from me with force that made him look up,

"Listen Noah, you may be the CEO of this company but you have no right to talk to me like that! I'm human as well you know, you could've just said it nicely without being rude!"

He closes his eyes like he was battling a war in his head. He lets out a sigh through his nose before turning his gaze back to the computer screen,

"Hey I'm speaking to you!"

I exclaim. He rolls his eyes and faced me, boredom written on his face,

"What am I meant to do?"

My mouth dropped, it actually it,

"Are you actually being for real?"

I place my hands on the desk, leaning down as I speak; anger boiling now at him,

"Despite not knowing who you are or putting a face to put your name, I can finally say that I can picture you. You're nothing but a jerk. A big egoistic self-centred jerk who thinks he can get what he wants because he's the damn boss!"

My words fly out of my mouth. The boredom that was written on his face quickly wiped away, his anger mirroring my own... but his anger was much more fiercer. He balled his hands in his fists, knuckles loosing colour,

"You may have your ways but it won't work on me,"

I say as I turn on my feet, ready to leave. I stop suddenly, at his voice,

"You dare leave this room and I will make your life in this company hell,"

Taken back by his words, I try not to let it get to me. I turn my head facing him seeing him not back down. I bite down on my teeth before I spoke confidently,

"Make me,"

I turn away from him, getting ready to leave but I couldn't,

"Don't test me Lily,"

He spoke dangerously low making me reconsider my actions for a split second. This was the first time he spoke my name other than calling me kitten and honestly it felt good hearing it leave his lips, it fit perfectly in my head. It made me hesitate.

A part of me wanting to turn around and say sorry until he accepted it but the other fought against that idea, not wanting him to win and get away with it just because he was the boss. My mind wavered. He spoke again, this time making my insides shake with fear and uncertainty,

"I swear Lily, if you decide to walk away right now, you leave this room not as an employee but as my personal assistant,"

I turn my head to the side again seeing him from the corner of my eye as he stood. His hands were placed on the desk, leaning forward like I had not long ago. He had that aura. The aura that radiated, no screamed not to mess with him.

The chair that he was once sat on was no longer next to him but rather against the wall. His eyes were dark and hooded. He was calculating what my next move would be. I turn around, a scoff leaving my lips. I cross my arms over my chest and roll my eyes before I comment,

"You're gonna have to work harder to make me work for you personally. I'd rather work until my brain is fried with Luke than be on the same floor as you, one room away from you,"

Not having anything else to say, I turn around; my back facing him. I don't wait for his backlash but take long strides to the door and open it in one swift movement. I step outside and slam the door in anger. Daisy shakes from the loudness and that's when my world finally crumples.

I fall to my knees, grabbing fistfuls of hair in my hands. I bury my face between my knees and muffle a scream. I lift my head back up and look at Daisy, she gives me a weird look. Now that I was away from the presence of Noah, my emotions finally pile out.

My eyes being to water a little. My throat felt like sandpaper. I scrunch my face with my hands as I whisper, asking for help that I knew that no-one would able to give,

"Somebody help me, what the fuck have I just got myself into,"
