《Frenemies》Chapter 22: HYUNG LIKES SOMEONE!

You found yourself to sleep this night. Safe and sound, it was amazing how fast you allowed your tiredness consume you. The walk with Jungkook was one thing, but all you remembered was coming back home with the same adrenaline pursing through the both of you. You hadn't shut up most of the night, smiling and laughing about with Jungkook who managed to keep his space on the couch.
For once, the both of you just spoke like civilized human beings with one another. It was weird. You had teased him of his nose, and he had teased you of your frizzy hair that had started to dry over now that the both of you were inside. From teasing, to important talk, to embarrassing stories from childhood, the both of you were relaxed in each other's presence the past night.
You talked about your brother, your old fish, and your professors at school.
Jungkook talked about his parents, his friends, and his white tee shirt choices.
You hadn't laughed so loud for a long while, and yet Jungkook managed to get it out of you the night prior.
Ready and up from bed, you had your backpack slung over your shoulder as you moved towards the staircase. Hoping to sneak your way into the kitchen to grab a snack, you internally prayed to be faced with no one in the morning. You knew Jungkook was still in the house from last night. He had asked to stay because he 'didn't feel comfortable with you alone'. You rolled your eyes when thinking back to that argument. I can take care of myself, you sighed internally, it was still a sweet of a gesture though.
Head peeking to see if his body was still sprawled on the couch, you smiled tightly to yourself when spotting him fast asleep. You stared for a moment, staring over at the way the tip of his nose glistened from oil. Seeing him comfortable and in the blanket, you had provided for him earlier, you managed to sneak over to the kitchen and grab whatever you needed.
Chugging down a bit of water before finally making an appearance into the living room space, you tip-toed towards the opening of the couch. Standing in front of his sleeping form now, your smile was gentle when spotting him still so induced in sleep. You sighed, taking another sip of your water before opening at your mouth to speak over at him...
"JUNGKOOK!!!" you hollered out, bending so that you could scream it into his ear.
The moment you saw the maknae's eyes widen in shock, you found your lips to move in contentment the moment he fell off the couch, instantly rubbing at his ear as he looked around and got onto his feet.
"What happened—Is someone in the house? You alright?" he asked panicked, frantically looking around the house to see no one.
It took him a moment to realize that it was a new day now. There was even light streaming from the windows of the living room. Then, the moment he saw you grinning over at him, his surprised face fell to utter irritation.
"Was that necessary?" he asked, jaw clenching as he moved to fix his shirt on his form. It had ridden up a little bit once he had fallen.
"Yes," you said, your tongue poking at the side of your cheek in amusement, "I've got to go to school, hence, I've gotta kick ya out."

"Could've just woken me up sweetly," Jungkook mumbled out, behaviour almost child-like as he worked to fold up the blanket you had provided for him.
"I'm sorry," you piped, amusement sky-rocketing, "Do I look like your mother?"
Jungkook rolled his eyes, moving to turn and push the nicely folded blanket into your chest. You moved a little back at the action, fake smile casting your face to match his irritated one.
"I'm glad you're thankful for my stay last night," Jungkook shot out, grinning a little himself now. His eyes held irritation still. You didn't blame him however, from how loudly he was speaking, it was evident he was probably still a little deaf from the ear you screamed in.
"I never said I needed you to stay," you interjected, moving to place the blanket lazily onto the coffee table behind you.
"Good," Jungkook popped out, moving towards the door so he could dramatically walk out. "Because I'll be seeing you again tonight...I'm staying until your parents come back."
You rolled your eyes more dramatically now. Sighing, you told him to wait. Seeing as his back flexed at the sound of your sudden soft voice, he didn't turn around yet since he still sensed the irritation in your tone. "You're going to have to bus it to the building," you explained, seeing that there was no Jin outside waiting for Jungkook, "So wear a disguise of some sort. Jin didn't show up like he promised last night...sucks for you, you gotta go through public transportation today."
Jungkook's forehead crinkled in slight worry at that. Moving to slowly face you, he wondered for Jin's form. Where could hyung possibly be? "But he promised he'd come back for me," Jungkook whined out, the fact that his ear was still ringing wasn't helping the situation at all.
"Boo-hoo, poor lil' idol boy," you chimed out, pouting dramatically before you grabbed at a mask and glasses for Jungkook to wear. Moving to prop up your hood onto your brother's hat you were wearing, you successfully moved over to Jungkook who stood awkwardly waiting by the threshold.
"Wear these," you sighed out, tossing him everything you could so that others wouldn't be able to spot his presence.
Seeing him grumble something underneath his breath, you didn't argue with him when he slowly put everything on. The moment he placed the mask on, you teased further, grinning before sighing exaggeratedly. "Oh thank the universe for that mask," you piped, "your breaths been more tragic than my brother's death."
Jungkook's eyes widened from behind the glasses you had given him. About to pull off the mask and rage at you, you grinned before tapping sweetly at his fingers and bringing them to his side again. The maknae seemed to hesitantly look over at you touching him when you did, his expression no longer explosive. He was suddenly reddening, face soft.
"...and while you're at it," you piped, trying not to laugh to yourself when staring over at the obvious guest in the room, "I'd like to congratulate you on finally reaching puberty."
Jungkook's brows furrowed a little at that.
Seeing you grin and glance down at his jeans, the maknae's eyes widened again when spotting his morning guest. He had been getting morning wood often, it was probably clearly getting out of hand if he no longer noticed it being present anymore. Genuinely shocked and feeling shy, Jungkook uncomfortable covered the protruding jeans before clearing at his throat.

"Happy 12thbirthday," you teased, winking over at him before moving towards the front door.
"Not funny," Jungkook mumbled out, his voice high and screeching in embarrassment as he followed you out.
"Aw, even your voice is cracking in now," you sang out, "Your mother would be so proud."
"Sometimes I regret ever trying to be nice to you," he mumbled out annoyed, watching as you starting to lock the door behind the both of you.
"Why can't you admit that you like me?" you piped, grinning evilly.
"Because I don't," Jungkook snapped, jaw clenching, "and I never will."
You grinned amused at that, allowing your finger to move over to his cheek. Making a noise as you tried not to praise him for being so adorable, it was hard for him to act tough when he was holding his penis in tact right before you. He was clearly uncomfortable and you were enjoying every moment of it.
"Your dick is proof of your lies," you sang out, trying not to snort on yourself when Jungkook groaned in frustration and followed you out of your porch.
"This condition is not because of you," he defended, "Men are likely to have this happen almost every morning as they grow older. So don't—"
"Blah blah," you sang out, practically prancing down the driveway now.
Jungkook gave up trying to fight your teasing. Sighing to himself, he took his time behind you, walking slowly as you were rushing towards the direction of the stops needed to be waited at across the street.
"I'm going to be late for school maknae! Hurry!" you whined, waiting at points on the sidewalk when he purposely took all the time in the world.
Jungkook grinned when you were reaching points to possibly throwing tantrums. Seeing the irritation visible on your face, he chuckled when you ran back to him and instantly grabbed his hand. Almost tripping at first, he allowed himself to give in a second time as he laughed and instantly started running with you.
It was weird to be running alongside you, hand in hand. It was different from the times he had run after you, trying to catch and tackle you to the ground from utter annoyance. This was different. It made him quickly want to reflect on just how far he had come from the time at the concert...from the time locked with you in the dressing room alone.
You clearly made an impact on his life since then, and here he was, still trying to figure out if he was happy with this change.
Jungkook smiled at his thoughts, barely out of breath as he simply held your hand tighter when you dragged him around a corner. You laughed when you almost fell while running and he simply held your hand tighter, tighter, tighter.
He didn't want to let go.

He didn't want to let go.
"The toilets unclogged hyung," Jimin said, confused as he glanced over at Yoongi lost in his thoughts, "you can put away the plunger now."
Yoongi allowed himself to break away from the obvious daze he was flowing through as he moved to place away the plunger. Looking back over at Jimin who was still so disgusted while cleaning the toilet, Yoongi licked at his lips a little, watching the man work in distress before him.
"Jimin-ah?"
"What, hyung?" the boy asked irritated, wanting to throw up at the smell that reeked from the main toilet in the dorm. Why are we all so disgusting to live amongst?
"Ever since debut...have you ever met someone that makes you double-think working sometimes? Someone who you'd rather call and talk to all night, instead of drowning with work all day," Yoongi asked, his eyes soft as he allowed himself to ramble about a little.
Jimin's long brush stopped in the toilet at that. Having his head tilt so he could look over at Yoongi, Jimin carried the most confused face known to man. "What?" he asked, more softly now as he studied Yoongi's dazed figure.
"Have you ever liked someone?" Yoongi asked, rephrasing himself.
Jimin took a moment...
"HYUNG, YOU LIKE SOMEONE?!"
Yoongi's eyes widened when seeing the shock, excitement, and surprise string the boy's face. Seeing as Jimin was about to get off his knees and move out of the bathroom. It was obvious the boy was going to go out into the hallways of the dorm to scream about what he had just observed.
Panicking, Yoongi instantly moved to slide over to Jimin as he moved to clasp the boy's mouth into his palm. Shutting Jimin up, Yoongi begged with his eyes as he glanced over at the door.
Everyone apart from Jin and Jungkook were home, and the last Yoongi wanted was for Jimin to take all his dazed sayings out of context.
Yoongi noticed Jimin trying to struggle out of his grasp so he could evilly move outside the bathroom door. Yoongi was more panicked then ever, begging Jimin.
"Stop it!" Yoongi yelled softly.
No use. Both had made too much noise to the point where the bathroom door was instantly wailed open and Namjoon and Hoseok stood in concern. The concern turned to confusion quick when seeing the position Yoongi and Jimin were on the ground by the toilet.
One thing Namjoon could spot was the smile Jimin had. The leader couldn't see the obvious smile because Yoongi's hand was covering it, but Namjoon could tell it was a huge one by the way Jimin's eyes had completely disappeared into lines.
Hoseok had his eyes on Yoongi who looked nervous and uncomfortable.
"What's going on here?" Hoseok asked, confused over the position both the members had been in once the door had opened.
Jimin's voice muffled against Yoongi's hand.
Yoongi panicked.
"N-Nothing, nothing."
"You want us to give you two a minute and come back?" Namjoon asked, trying not to laugh when seeing Yoongi so tirelessly terrified.
Yoongi forced a smile on his face but it didn't come out as anything but an awkward smile. Nodding, Yoongi gulped down when Namjoon turned. Watching Hoseok shrug and slowly start closing at the door, Yoongi relaxed a little too much when accidentally throwing his ground away and having Jimin struggle out of his grip.
"YOONGI HYUNG SAID HE LIKES SOMEONE!" Jimin sang out, louder than ever. "TAEHYUNG COME HERE RIGHT NOW!"
Namjoon and Hoseok froze at that, their backs to the others.
Taehyung's confused steps could be heard coming towards the bathroom slowly.
Yoongi's face scrunched in defeat at that. Eyes squinting shut and together, he lazily let go of Jimin before letting his face sink tiredly into the dirty bathroom floor. He waited, he waited for everyone to attack him with questions.
Great, just great.
