《The Bet (Lesbian Story)》Chapter 37

The drive to Manuel's house was no short from awkward, we drove in silence, but not the usual comforting silence that I usually experienced with Amy. The air around us clung heavily with anxiousness. Too many questions in all of our minds, and not nearly enough answers.
The only sound I heard was the low classing rock songs playing on the radio and the hum of my Rolls-Royce Ghost's engine. I had taken it instead of the Porsche because deep down I knew that Manuel would be tagging along. And even though I was still not completely fond of him, I saw how much of a loyal friend he was to Amy, so I decided that I would call a truce. He made her happy, and that was all that mattered.
I parked in front of Manuel's house, he was the first one to get out, muttering a small 'goodbye Kate' as he did so. Amy watched as he left and turned towards me. A bright smile on her face.
"Thanks for coming with me Kate." She said and I smiled back.
"Don't mention it, it was my pleasure." I answered and she grinned.
She quickly kissed me goodbye and was about to get out of the car too, but I held he by her wrist, preventing her to. She looked back, puzzled. I had to force myself not to smirk, it just had been too long without her. It had been two days since we got back from the lake house and we really didn't have any time to be properly together since, I was going crazy.
"Come back home with me." I said, it wasn't really a question, I just wanted her already.
"My parents are going on a trip today, we'll have the house to ourselves." I added, whispering seductively in her ear. She immediately blushed ten shades of red, but nodded. I smirked victoriously.
"Amy, aren't you coming?" Manuel asked, it took all of my willpower not to blurt something along the lines of 'Don't worry, she will be, soon enough.' But Amy answered before I had the chance.
"I'm going to Kate's house, I should be back for dinner though." She said and once again I smirked, not if I can help it. I thought with a grin. Manuel eyed me carefully but just nodded.
"Okay, have fun you two. See you when you get back Ames." He shrugged and turned, starting to walk towards the house.
"So, ready to meet the parents?" I asked and she immediately blushed. I was starting to think that when it came to Amy, that was something I would have to get used to. Not that I minded though, I thought it was extremely cute.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She answered with a dread and I grinned brightly.
I was happy, finally Amy was going to meet my parents. It had taken me some time to convince her, but finally she accepted. The only condition being that we were not going to disclose the fact that we were dating, at least not yet. I had been taken aback by that, but I understood the reasoning behind it. She was terrified, she wanted to be completely sure of our relationship before we actually told them about it. And even though I was ready to tell the world we were together, I was still going to respect her wishes and wait until she was ready. But that didn't mean that I couldn't introduce her as my friend.

I drove in silence, listening as Amy hummed along the radio. I had to be frank, her good taste in music was such a turn on! I mean, here I was sitting by her side as she singed along to Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name, and I couldn't hold back the grin on my face. I was going to marry that girl someday.
"You're awfully quiet." Amy said, we've often fell into comfortable silence when we were in the car, but I guess she was too nervous for that right now.
"Just thinking about how much I love you." I answered and she broke into the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. God, I didn't deserve her.
"You've always had a good way with words, haven't you?" She asked grinning and I smirked.
"Just telling the truth." I said as I kept driving. She was still blushing, as she was 95% of the time, but now she couldn't keep her smile away from her face, which only made my heart melt.
It wasn't long until I reached the gates to my house, I drove slowly through the pathway that led to the garage, glancing towards Amy from the time to time. She looked anxious, but I knew for a fact that she had nothing to be nervous about, my parents would love her. I mean, how could they not?
I parked the car besides my Porsche and went around the car, to open Amy's door for her. She smiled as she watched me undo her seatbelt.
"If you keep doing everything for me I'm going to forget how to operate like a normal person." She tried to scold me, but the grin in her face was a dead giveaway that she didn't mean a word she said. She liked that I took care of her, and I liked it too, she deserved this and so much more.
"Don't blame me for wanting to spoil my girlfriend, you should be treated like a princess Amy." I said and she smiled sweetly back at me.
"I don't deserve you." She said in a small voice, still smiling. I smiled back, but her words pierced my heart. God if she only knew, I was the one that didn't deserve her.
I had thought about this long and hard, and I had come to a decision, I couldn't keep the fact that this all started because of a stupid bet from Amy anymore. Even though I had broken it off, I still felt so overwhelmingly guilty about it, and I knew that I would end up having to come clean to her and face whatever consequences she thought fit. Sooner or later I would have to come clean. And I had decided, I was going to tell her tomorrow.
"Come on, let's go inside missy." I said as I pulled her up. She nodded. I held her hips, helping her into the house. But she stopped me before we reached the threshold.
"I can go in by myself, I don't really want to explain to your parents why I'm having trouble walking." She said and I nodded in understanding.
Amy absolutely hated disclosing what had happened to her, I didn't exactly know if it was because she didn't want to appear weak in front of others, or if she was just ashamed, but I didn't argue.

"Okay, but don't force yourself too much okay?" I said, and she nodded as I opened the door that lead into the house, through the kitchen. As soon as we got in I smelled my mom's cooking, and it was divine. I grinned.
My mom was standing in front of the stove, wearing a summer dress and apron. She, like me, was tall and blonde, but she had light brown eyes instead of blue. That I had gotten from my dad. She turned to us as soon as she heard us coming in.
"Mom, this is my friend Amy." I said, pulling Amy beside me. I had to hold my grin, as I watched her blushing. Her shyness was one of my favourite things about her. My mom smiled warmly down at her.
"Amy, is so nice to finally meet you, Kate told us so much about you!" She beamed and Amy immediately blushed even more, I guess she hadn't expected me mentioning her to my parents. I smirked. Of course I talked about her, how could I not? She was perfect.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Hills." She answered politely and my mom snorted in amusement.
"Oh, please honey, call me Simone." She stated and Amy nodded gingerly.
"Come on in, Mark is in the living room." Mom said and motioned for us to follow, I heard Amy gulp nervously.
"Don't be nervous missy, they'll love you. Just like I do." I said and she smiled slightly.
"Well I hope not exactly like you do." She joked and I laughed.
"Miss Amy Addams making a joke, would you look at that." I said in amusement and she blushed again, before following my mom into the dining room.
I walked behind her, noticing that she was actually managing to hold herself better now. Of course she still had some difficulties walking, but apparently the physiotherapy was paying off. I grinned from ear to ear, proud of my girl.
"Mark sweetie, this is Amy, Kate's friend. She'll be staying for dinner tonight." I heard my mom saying as we reached the living room. My dad was sitting on the couch, with today's newspapers in his hands. As soon as he heard my mom he looked up, a bright smile on his face as he turned towards Amy, folding the newspaper in his lap.
"Oh so this is the famous Amy that Kate had told us so much about! Take a seat, I would love to talk for a bit before dinner." He said excitedly, I had told him how Amy was a great student and had a knack for science, and my dad, being the huge nerd he was, was over the moon. And the fact that she had actually managed to bring my grades up, already made her seem like a Goddess in his eyes.
I didn't think I had ever seen Amy blush so much in my entire life, and that was saying something, but it just made me smile. She nodded again and sat down on the couch, looking at me and begging with her eyes for support. I just laughed and sat by her side.
"Kate here told us how much of a great help you were this year, we have to thank you a lot Amy. God knows how she needs help when it comes to academics." He said, the last part jokingly, but still I feigned offense.
"Hey! I'm smart!" I shouted and he laughed, lightly patting me on the head.
"Sure you are sweetie." I just rolled my eyes at his silliness, I had to admit that after meeting Amy, my relationship with my parents had improved significantly. I didn't know what it was about her, but she just brought the best in me, and it was just one of the things that I had to be grateful to her for.
"Kate is a very intelligent girl, I guess she just needed someone to help her focus on her studies though." Amy replied politely, still blushing slightly. My dad nodded.
I mostly just listened as they talked about all sorts of different things, it was good to see Amy getting along so well with my family. Well, she better, after all I was sure she was going to be around for some time. Or at least I hoped she would.
Dinner with my parents went on uneventfully. I could see how much they enjoyed Amy's company, and I couldn't blame them, she had this power of trapping you in her conversations, leaving you dumbstruck. Plus, I guess they were happy that finally I had brought a friend home that knew to count pass ten. I sighed as I thought about my so-called friends, having someone like Amy was refreshing. And I sure knew that my parents thought the same.
Time passed by quickly and soon enough we were already by the door as my parents said their goodbyes.
"Well Katie, behave yourself when we're away okay?" My mom said and my dad smirked.
"Yes sweetie, no parties." He said looking at me before adding.
"You'll keep an eye on her right Amy?" My dad said, looking at Amy, who nodded in return.
"I'll make sure she behaves." She assured them, making them both smile. I couldn't help but to smirk as I watched them leave.
"Why miss Addams, are you going to punish me if I misbehave?" I asked, locking the front door and pushing her against the wall. She immediately blushed.
"Do you have to always take everything sexually?" She answered and I laughed nodding.
"Get used to it missy, now come on, I'm dying to take you upstairs." I answered pulling her hand and taking her to my room.
