《The Bet (Lesbian Story)》Chapter 11

I walked confidently towards the parking lot with a trembling Amy beside me. I looked slightly at her, she was looking down at the floor and her face was burning bright red. I guess she truly was nervous. Well, I can't blame her. I can be quite intimidating.
We walked in silence until we reached my car. Once we did I stopped in front of the passenger seat and opened the door for her. She blushed profusely but said a small "thanks" before entering the car. I smiled brightly at her even though I was dying inside.
I couldn't believe she was actually going to my house. That's insane, I mean, I fucking hated her and now I was supposed to act all sweet and all with her. It was excruciating.
She on the other hand seemed to like it though. Well, who wouldn't really?
I walked around the car and made my way to the drivers seat. I quickly opened the door and got in. Amy was looking out the window, she heard me entering the car and I saw that she started shaking slightly. I couldn't understand her. It was almost like she was afraid of me.
"Hey, you ok? You're shaking." I said looking at her, she looked down at the car floor.
"I'm ok." She simply said and I shrugged. If she didn't want to tell me what was wrong I didn't really give a fuck.
"Ok then..." I said and started the car.
We drove in silence for a few minutes and the silence was starting to bother me so I turned the radio on. Amy looked at me with a smile on her face but shortly after blushed and turned her head to the window.
"Never took you for a fan of classical rock." She said still looking out the window. I cussed myself remembering that I still had my I-pod plugged in. It may sound stupid but no one really knew the things I truly enjoyed. Actually most people in my circle of friends thought the kind of music I liked sucked.
"Yeah, I guess my father borrowed my car and plugged his I-pod in." I said trying to avoid the subject. She smiled still looking at the window.
"Well, your dad has good taste in music. Bon Jovi is awesome." She commented and I looked at her in amazement. It was hard to see someone my age that actually liked the classics.
"He does." I said smiling and looking ahead.
The rest of the ride was silent, but not the uncomfortable kind of silence I was experiencing earlier.
This one was comforting, we both had our minds on something and we enjoyed the ride as we listen to music. I could never do that with one of my friends. They couldn't shut up for a second even to save their lives. I chuckled to myself. Oh the irony, here I was finding it comfortable to be around the person I hated the most. God, I might be getting sick.

Once we got near my house I saw Amy gawking through the corner of my eyes. I smirked, she probably haven't even seen a house with more than two bedrooms. If she was surprised by just looking at the outside, imagine how she would be once she actually got inside.
I parked the car in front of the house and exited. I was too lazy to put in the garage, the chauffeur would take care of it. I mean, that's what he's paid for right?
Amy stepped out of the car shyly and I forced myself to smile at her. She gingerly smiled back but still didn't look me in the eye.
"Come on in." I said taking her hand and guiding her inside
She took my hand, still with a beautiful smile on her face. I couldn't help but blush ten shades of red. She then pulled me inside the house and before I could stop myself I gasped at the sight.
Her house was so beautiful. I had seen the outside of it and it was huge, mansion like huge. But the inside was even better. The house was modern but still had the classical style. It was like one of those houses you saw on magazines. I looked around amazed.
"I'd take that you liked the house." She commented and I nodded.
"It's beautiful." I said in awe. She chuckled and lightly squeezed my hand.
That's when I realized, she hadn't let go of my hand yet. Why hadn't she? Why wasn't I letting go instead? Damn, now my heart was pounding hard and my palms started to sweat. I quickly took my hands off of hers before she realized it. She looked at me with a frown but after a second she smiled.
"So, are you hungry?" She asked motioning me to follow her.
Truth was, I was really hungry. I hadn't eaten in a while, one and a half days to be exact. But I wasn't about to tell her that.
"I'm good. Thank you." I said and my stomach rumbled in protest. She looked at me with a smirk.
"Really? Because I think your stomach thinks otherwise." She said teasingly and I blushed.
"Sorry." I said in a small voice. She frowned.
"Why are you always apologising when you don't need to?" She asked and I blushed.
"I don't know really." I said and she smirked.
"You shouldn't apologise, besides I'm hungry too. We need to eat to survive, don't we?" She said once again taking my hand and guiding me somewhere. What was with the entire holding hands thing?
"Sorry." I said again before I realized and she laughed whole-heartedly.
"Really?" She asked and I blushed even more.
"I guess it's just something I do." I said as we entered a huge extremely modern kitchen.
"You have to learn to stop saying sorry for everything and step up for yourself." She said lowly and I sighed, the worst part was that she was right. I couldn't continue taking shit from everyone. It wasn't fair.

"I know." I said more to myself than to her.
She opened the freezer and frowned.
"The cook is away today. I guess I'll just put this pizza in the oven then." She said and I chuckled.
"You have the most amazing kitchen I've ever seen and you're going to heat up pizza?" I said before I could close my mouth. I looked down blushing. I wasn't the type to question people.
"Yeah, what do you suggest then?" She asked looking back at me. I shrugged.
"I don't know. Pasta?" I said and she smirked.
"Then we'll both be hungry 'cause I don't have any idea how to cook." She said shrugging and I smiled.
"I can do it."
"You know, that actually sounds good." She said and I smiled.
"Want to help? I can teach you how to do it." I said before I could stop myself again. God, I was going to cut my tongue off when I got home.
"Nah, I'm good here. I prefer to watch." She said smirking. I nodded and started cooking.
"God, that smells amazing." She said getting closer and I laughed.
"Well thank you, but you'll have to wait a few more minutes. It's not done yet." I said and she pouted. My heart jumped for a second. This was definitely the cutest thing I had ever seen.
"Go sit down, I'll tell you when it's done." I said and she smiled sitting up on the counter beside the stove.
"I'll stay." She simply said and I smiled returning my eyes to the meal I was currently cooking.
I didn't know why but at each second that passed I felt more and more at ease with Katherine. She was funny, smart and captivating. It was a weird feeling, being able to be myself. I didn't do that often. Only with Manuel, and even then it wasn't all the time.
"Okay, done." I said after a few minutes, putting the pasta down in two separate plates.
"Ah, finally." Katherine smiled and jumped off the counter.
We ate in silence occasionally making small comments but mostly in silence. Once we were done I took the dishes to the sink and started to wash them. Katherine came closer and looked at me like I was crazy.
"What are you doing?" She asked eyeing me.
"Umm... washing the dishes?" I said, or better, asked.
"That's what the dishwasher and the maids are for." She said I just shrugged.
"It's just two plates, two cups and a pan. Nothing much." I said quickly cleaning the dishes. She looked at me like she was trying to figure out something.
Once I was done she guided me to the upper part of her house. We walked for what it seemed like forever. The house was huge. Once we got to a big white door she opened it and motioned me to go in. The room was huge, like I expected. It was beautiful and neat. I looked around while Katherine just walked towards the bed and fell on it.
"So, shall we start?" I asked and she groaned burying her head in the pillow.
"Nooo, let's just rest for a bit." She said half whining.
"Rest?" I asked in slight disbelief. She sat up and smiled sweetly at me. The smile that always made my heart race like wild.
"Yeah. Let's watch a movie." She said and I was about to argue when I saw how cute she looked when she asked for something. Shit, how could I say no to her?
"Fine." I said finally giving in and she jumped out of the bed and putting a random disk on the DVD player.
"Great." She said and for my surprise she pulled me down on the bed. I fell with my back on her bed and she lied beside me. I forced myself not to wince in pain. This wasn't the study session I planned.
Amy was stiff as a rock beside me. I had never seen anyone so tense in my entire life. We had been watching a movie for about half an hour. I hoped to make her feel more at ease with me. I guess I did accomplish that but still it wasn't enough. I needed more.
"You're tense." I said still looking at the screen. She looked down at her hands.
"Me?" She asked innocently and I almost rolled my eyes.
I turned around to face her and she quickly lowered her head down. I used my index finger and thumb to hold up her chin making her face me. Still her eyes looked down.
"Why don't you look at me?" I asked barely above a whisper.
"I don't know." She said in the same tone. I don't know why but when I heard her voice like that I shivered. The hell?
"Look at me." I said and reluctantly she did.
Her eyes were green and they seemed to shine against the light the TV was providing. I held in a breath, they were beautiful. I looked at Amy, taking her in. realizing for the first time how beautiful she was.
I didn't know when or how but before I realized my eyes were already closed and I was crushing my lips on hers holding her closer.
