"Your Majesty, how about the pork knuckles?" Liu Rong's face stiffened. She tightened her grip on the silk scarf.
"Noble Consort Rong, didn't you hear what Qing'er said?" She wants plain congee." Feng Tianyu's face darkened.
"Your Majesty, please have mercy. I'm just sympathizing with Qing'er." Engulfed with panic, Liu Rong quickly answered.
Feng Ruqing had completely changed after she woke up. Previously, if the emperor stopped her from taking meat, she would throw a tantrum. Presently, she listened to the emperor obediently.
"Noble Consort Rong, you have crossed the line. Don't visit Qing'er these few days," Feng Tianyu snarled.
Liu Rong had always been an eyesore to the emperor and he only met her because of Qing'er.
"Your Majesty." Liu Rong raised her head and gazed at the emperor innocently.
Liu Rong was in her thirties. Despite her age, she still looked stunning and retained her graceful bearing. However, Feng Tianyu was not the least bit attracted to her. There was only Feng Ruqing in his eyes.
"Qing'er, I am afraid Noble Consort Rong would bring you some greasy food. You need to rest. I don't want Noble Consort Rong to bother you during this period. Alright?"
Liu Rong bit her lip as she fixed her gaze upon Feng Ruqing anxiously.
"Sure." Feng Ruqing merely snorted.
Previously, the princess was such a fool. She had broken many people's hearts including her kin from her maternal family just because of Liu Rong. Now, she would never be the same. Since the emperor stopped Liu Rong from visiting her, it was a great delight to her. She did not want to be bothered.

"Your Majesty." An imperial guard rushed into the room and kneeled down in respect.
"What's the matter?" The emperor's gaze swept past the imperial guard as he asked.
"Your Majesty, Young Master Liu and Lady Tan have been kneeling before the imperial study for two hours."
"Pfft. Ask them to go on until Qing'er forgives them."
Feng Ruqing had nearly lost her life because of these two. The emperor had shown much mercy for not killing the both of them because of the chancellor and grand tutor.
It was lucky that Feng Ruqing had woken up. Otherwise, the emperor would not let them off that easily.
"Father, are they Liu Yuchen and Tan Shuangshuang?" Slightly startled, Feng Ruqing asked.
"Qing'er, Liu Yuchen went too far. He is looking for his own demise. Don't worry about him." Feng Tianyu furrowed his brows as he comforted Feng Ruqing.
Feng Ruqing was his most beloved daughter but how did Liu Yuchen treat her? Not only did Feng Ruqing have to deal with overwhelming loneliness, but she also nearly lost her life because of him.

But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.

This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.

What up, it is zewen senpai here, with the first translated work I am attempting. It is a translation of a Chinese online novel named "陰商" (Ying Shang, or Dark Merchant). And looking at the context the story and the multi-meaning of the character "陰," I decided to name it the Necro-Merchant instead. Written by 咸魚君 (Xianyujun) or Mr.Salty Fish in English, the story is about a kid that started selling some eerie items with his cousin, because we be like that in China. Either way, enjoy the story and have a gud day.
