"And tell us who your date is this evening. She's absolutely stunning," the reporter asked Dylan and my heart dropped. The last thing I wanted was to get dragged into a live interview being streamed all over the world.

I looked at Dylan, holding my breath and waiting to see what he would say.

"She is absolutely stunning but she's a little camera shy. You look lovely this evening too," he said to the reporter making her smile and blush, forgetting all about me. I exhaled out the breath I was holding, thanking Dylan silently.

I waited off to the side out of the view of the cameras while Dylan did several interviews, some with his co-stars and some by himself. Then the cast of the movie posed for pictures together on the red carpet for a while. Then Dylan and his female lead in the movie took several pictures together.

She was drop dead gorgeous and just as famous as Dylan. She was the kind of woman that turned heads when she walked in a room and immediately drew everyone's attention to her. She was about 5'9 and had on a cherry red dress that was so tight it looked like it had been painted on, cherry red heels and matching lipstick. Her black hair was long and stick straight and shiny and she had curves for days.

She had an hourglass figure and swayed her hips seductively when she walked and everyone's eyes were on her. She walked up straight with her shoulders back and made eye contact with people and smiled a lot. There was an air of confidence about her that was very intimidating. Seeing her draped on Dylan's arm smiling at him and laughing, made me feel a pang of jealousy for some reason.

After a while I noticed Dylan looking around in the crowd searching for something, then his eyes landed on me and he smiled. He whispered something in his co-star's ear and the next thing I knew both of them were headed my way.

Dylan smiled and said, "Brenley this is Rose Davenport. Rose this is Brenley."

Rose gave me a forced smile and said, "It's nice to meet you." The look on her face and her body language told me that couldn't be further from the truth.

"It's nice to meet you too," I said with a smile. There was a moment of tense awkward silence between us.

"Oh! That reminds me," Rose said, turning her back to me and facing Dylan as she talked to him, blocking me out. I could take a hint and could tell when I wasn't wanted so I walked away.

I walked around and just watched people and observed, taking everything in. The people were all stunningly beautiful and dressed to the nines and they all had the biggest smiles plastered all over their faces and I couldn't help but wonder if they were real or forced.

Many of the faces I recognized from movies or TV shows I might've seen through the years. Some of their names I knew and some I didn't. Ellie and Dave would probably know every single one of them and what movies and shows they had been in. I got my phone out and started taking a few pictures to send to them and my Dad.

A little while later Dylan found me again and said, "It's almost time to go inside. Are you having fun?"

"You want the truth?" I asked with a laugh.

"Yeah."

"Not really. This isn't my type of thing. Being around all these famous people and having pictures taken and doing interviews and all that. It just stresses me out. Honestly, I don't love it."

He nodded and said, "Yeah, I could tell you weren't really enjoying yourself. I'm excited for you to see my new movie though. I want to know what you think," he said as he took my arm and led the way into the huge fancy theater. We sat in our reserved seats in the center of the front row.

Pretty soon a man walked up and broke our awkward silence and asked Dylan if he would stand up and say some words to the crowd before the movie starts.

Dylan nodded and said, "Sure" before standing up and people started cheering and screaming for him.

"Thank you all for coming out tonight to watch The Long Road to Redemption with us. It's a story of overcoming, of fighting demons and never giving up and how a flawed person can change and be saved. The cast and crew endured long, hard months of being covered in mud on a battlefield every day, sometimes in the rain or snow. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into making this movie perfect. I think I only survived because of Red Bull and Starbucks, and no I wasn't paid to say that," he joked and the whole audience laughed. "I really hope you'll love it."

He sat down next to me again and the lights dimmed and the movie started. Apparently when it's a premiere there aren't previews like at a normal theater.

As the movie started up everyone was completely silent and the opening scene was a foggy field as the sun came up in the morning, seeing dew on a pure white flower and then suddenly there was a buzzing sound of a bullet flying by and the gunshots gradually got louder until the flower was torn from it's stem.

"Go, go, go," a deep voice shouted and it cut to a scene of Dylan dressed as a civil war General leading his troops across a field as rain started to fall. He reached into his uniform and pulled out a flask and drank from it, letting out a sigh before grabbing his gun and rushing ahead through the tall grass.

As I sat and watched him up on the screen it was so weird that the guy up there was the same one sitting next to me.

It cut to a scene where he was kneeling on the ground holding his best friend's head in his lap as he was dying and Dylan cried out "I won't let you die in vain!" before hanging his head and sobbing.

After the war was over it showed him finally making it back home to his parents and siblings and he worked hard to get sober and right all the wrongs from his past. The biggest wrong was the woman's heart he had broken. He had cheated on the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart and now he was going to work hard to get her back.

Watching Dylan and Rose kissing in HD, zoomed in and blown up on this huge screen in front of me was really hard to watch for some reason. I looked away and waited for that part to be over. It only got worse though. Towards the end of the movie there was a scene where him and Rose both got naked. It showed her completely naked from the front and for him it showed everything but his privates.

They started kissing and fell onto a bed and the next thing you know they're doing it and it looked so real that I was stunned and my eyes widened. That's when another realization hit me. I could never in a million years date or marry a man that was an actor. How could any woman put up with her man doing those kinds of scenes with someone else? And be okay with that? No wonder so many Hollywood relationships didn't last.

I was relieved when that scene was finally over and I realized I had been gripping the armrests of my seat, so I slowly peeled my fingers off and sat back in my chair.

It felt like it took forever for the movie to finally be over because there were so many scenes of him and her kissing, making love or having deep conversations. I didn't like it. Watching him with her made me uncomfortable and I thought about faking a stomach ache to have an excuse to leave the theater early but I didn't. I somehow stuck it out.

When the credits started to roll he looked over at me and asked, "So what did you think?"

I hesitated before saying, "It was good. I ummmm. I really liked it."

I hadn't told him the truth, that watching him up on the screen making love to Rose was like absolute torture. I knew I couldn't have him but I didn't want to watch him with someone else either because it made me so jealous I couldn't stand it.

Some men came over and congratulated him and I stood to the side waiting, not sure what else to do. Every time I'd think he was finally going to be done another person walked up and shook his hand and talked for forever.

Then Rose walked over and pulled him into a long hug, pressing her body against him and then she shot a look at me over his shoulder, with narrowed eyes as she leaned in and whispered something in his ear and slowly leaned in and kissed his neck.

My heart started pounding faster and I suddenly felt dizzy. I had to get out of there. I turned around and walked away as fast as I could through the crowd of people, pulling out my cell phone.

"Melissa can you send a driver to come get me? I'm not feeling well," I said, holding back the tears that wanted to spill out.
