It's been a week since Whiplash's attack on Stark expo, and to be honest? Life is good.
Dad is finally healthy, not drinking that disgusting chlorophyll, and has even stopped ( or should I say lowered) his combination for alcohol. Ever since he and Pepper made it official, the Stark Tower has someone become more . . . energetic. Lively , even.
Uncle Rhodey finally got his own suit, not the one he 'stole' from dad, but an actual suit , fully weaponised with actual working weapons ( looking at you , ex-wife). Me and dad have been spending more time together , and I even helped him with some new projects.
But yesterday, I had a change of heart. I wanted to go out, explore the world a bit. Wanted to search ancient sites and dig up artifacts. Aka I wanted to be an archeologist. So, after consulting dad, basically forcing him to agree to it ( I was still a minor , had to ask my Father for 'permission') I picked up my bag, and made my way to the car that SHIELD had arranged for me.
For security purposes, as Dad and Pepper say — basically they won't let me be a normal child—they are making me go to the 'excursion trip' with actual spies.
Cool right?
Not.
But leaving that frustration aside, I quickly hugged Dad and Pepper and Uncle Rhodey and went out to the back of the tower, trying to make my trip as inconspicuous as possible. I quickly entered the black SUV – typical SHIELD – closed the door, and quietly stared around me.
Many of the shield agents were clothed in all black, except two people – a couple I presume – who looked quite young , just like me, who were quietly talking among themselves.
I nodded aimlessly, understanding that this 'trip' might be serious for some, then settled myself as comfortably I could.
Soon we reached the shield headquarters and the pair quickly got out . I got out when it was my turn and headed straight for the pair. What? I wasn't gonna go alone to a fun trip!
"Hey! Wait for me!" I said, panting as I reached them.
The pair turned around and stared at me , surprised looks on their faces. I soon reached them and stood their, panting , trying to catch my breath.
"I really need to do some cardio. Hi! My name's Sofia. And you are ?" I said, extending a hand to the girl first. Because the guy seemed too fidgety , I guess?
"Oh! Um, my name is Dr.Jemma Simmons. And this is Leopold Fitz. " She said, shaking my hand delicately as she gave a look to the guy – Fitz – as she did so.
"Y-yeah. Hello, my name's Fitz. But you already knew that!" He said, blinking hard.
I didn't know why, but the sight was so comical I ended up laughing a bit.
"Sorry, we are just huge fans of you and your father's works. Thats all." Jemma said, smiling apologetically.
"I understand my dad's works, but why me? I didn't do anything. " I said, confused.
"Your papers on Toxicology and quantum technology are just fascinating! Personally I love toxicology more, being a biochem doctor, but Fitz might think different I think." She gushed. It was so cute yet humbling that someone found my papers interesting and not just dumb stuff written my a 17 year old kid.

"Y-yeah. Your theories were on point for almost everything, and some points were so thought through and complex that I had to go through a multitude of books for understanding b-but it was all so knowledge full and eye opening tha– I should stop rambling now shouldn't I ?" He said, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh don't stop. It's actually refreshing that people actually recognise me and not just my father you know?"
With that we three formed a small friendship, as we all sat down in our seats on the quinjet which would take us to India for our research.

It's been two days since I have been here, and it's been a blast! Jemma and Fitz – Fitzsimmons – have become my new best friends and we are having so much fun during our research! Although it's just me who goes on to see and find the artifacts and them doing the researching , it's all still fun.
Right now I was in a cave, about five agents with me as we went down to see if there was any relic to be found. Sounds of water splashing could be heard as we were on one of the islands present in the country, as I used my torch I had with me to see.
The agents split up, one remained with me as we moved on. At a distance, I could see something glowing, casting a faint blue light. Silently motioning the agent behind me, I ventured forward. At this point the cave had narrowed down, so the bulky agent couldn't follow me inside the even smaller cave.
I slowly crept up to the glowing stone, putting out the torch as the stones were casting enough light, and pulled out my camera from the bag and started clicking pictures of it. My gloves hands picked up the glowing object, and I noticed that it was a single long piece of crystal that was emitting the light . That creepy light was making me dizzy, and suddenly, as if on a whim, the crystal dropped from my hands and fell to the ground, instantly breaking and a wierd mist coming out from it.
The mist quickly disappeared, and so did the crystal. Sighing dissapointedly, I went back up the entrance, and told the agent that nothing was there. I went back to base and told Fitzsimmons that nothing as there, as it was true. The mist was useless, and there wasn't any proof that the crystal even existed, just that I had seen it.
I was in my room, playing with my pencil as I looked over my own research analysis, when I felt something striking my head, hard. I clutched my head, trying to make the pain go away, but it felt like someone was hammering my head, increasing the force every time.
"Ah! Stop it!" I yelled out, as voices started shouting in my head. There was ringing everywhere, and as I opened my eyes I could feel the objects in my small room shaking a bit. I clutched my head as tightly as I could, trying to keep myself from crying out, as I thrusted my hand forward, almost instinctively.

The glass vase in front of me shattered in a million pieces , yet the pain didn't stop. It felt like someone was talking to me, yet no one was there in the room. I grabbed my hair, anything, to stop the pain.
Then suddenly, a man appeared, in a blue circle. I just looked up from my disheveled state, saying just one word. "Help".
With that he pulled me in his arms and then we were gone, as was my consciousness.

I woke up to peaceful sounds. I opened my eyes, blinking away the sleep , as I looked around. I noticed that I couldn't move my hands or anything actually, and it was freaking me out.
"Hey, everything's gonna be okay now. You are safe here." A voice said , as I whipped my head in that direction.
"Who are you? Where am I ? Why can't I move my legs?!" My voice indicated the panic that I was feeling, and it was evident as the man – who had no eyes strangely – tried frantically to calm me down.
"Hey, calm down. It's just acupressure, meant to relieve your stress. And uh, leaving now wouldn't exactly be , uh , have you heard of microwaved popcorn? Leave it in too long it turns into charcoal, take it out too soon you have a bag of kernels? That might be the worst analogy ever. Gordo help me out here?" A new man, came in as he asked the eye-less man.
"Where am I ?"
"It's a safe haven. For you and all of us. Here you can heal. Now, I shall leave you with Lincoln. You are in good hands now. " Gordo said a he went out.
"And who are you?" I said, trying – and failing – to get feeling in my lower body.
"Wh- yeah. I forgot, you're new hear. I'm Lincoln Campbell, and I'll be your transitioner while you are here. And you have been here for about a day now, all that stress must have exhausted your brain." Lincoln chuckled.
"Wait, a whole day? Where's my team? They must be looking for me." I said, as I tried successfully this time to revive some of my feeling in the torso back.
"Whatever power you demonstrated there, it made all of them forget you were even there. The team's still there, as Gordo tells me, and will stay there for a few weeks more. Don't worry, you're safe here. " He reassured me as I lied down, feeling the panic reside a bit.
"What is a transitioner?"
"Right, I keep forgetting that you're new to this. Everyone who goes through terrigenesis, has a transitioner to help them. Imagine a thousand years of evolution, taking place instantaneously. That's what happened to you after the mist."
"The mist. I knew it was shady stuff !" I said as I rubbed my wrists softly.
"We start the process right after the mist, as was the case with you. Now we have your clothes there, get ready. Then I'll show you around." With that he left .
I slowly changed out of the bedsheets they had dressed me in, and quickly put on my older clothes. Then I walked out of the room, and saw Lincoln there.
"You say this place is Chinese? It's called what? The afterlife? Are we in China?"
"No one knows. It's a save haven for us, where we can develop our powers, learn to live in the society peacefully with them. How to help people with them. "
"That's nice. " I nodded as we walked around. It looked as if it was around Nepal, with all the hills and the landscapes. But I couldn't be sure. Geography wasnt my forte.

Time change to a week.

It's been a week since I have been to Afterlife. Lincoln and another woman named Jiaying helped me to control my newfound powers.
Apparently , after the mist touched me, my cells had mutated, and given me powers. It was basically Telepathy, and telekinesis. That was what I was feeling in that bunker, all the thoughts of the people inside me were constantly bombarding my brain, and my powers had indirectly shut them out , making them even forget that I was there with them.
But now it's time to go home. I need to go and tell my dad that his daughter had somehow, acquired magical abilities and could now move things with her mind. He would surely have freakout at that.
Couldn't imagine why.
Kidding.
With my bag that Gordon had grabbed last minute , slung over my shoulder, I gave a hug to Lincoln and Jiaying, as tight as I could , trying to show them through actions how much their help meant to me.
With that I grabbed Gordon's hand and we disappeared in a blue ball of energy. Right back to where I was bunking in with the shield agents.
Hugging Gordon goodbye and making the promise of coming back, he too left. Leaving me alone in the room with only my own self to accompany me. With a small sigh, I brought my hands together, and closed my eyes. With a small wave, as practiced , I released a blue ball of energy which harmlessly flew through the whole base, unnoticeable to everyone, as they all slowly got back there memories of me. I even planted some fake ones , explaining my alibi when I wasn't here.
With that all set, I went back out to greet Jemma and Fitz.
