《Legends Never Die》XXII

After the talk with dad, Fury sent me back home in New york while Dad stayed in Malibu to work on his cure. I had no intention of facing his wrath right now, once he's stabilized he can yell at me all he wants.
Its been two hours since the agents left and I was alone in the tower. Pepper was supposed to come in by another hour so I had that time to do as I please.
So naturally I went to the kitchen and got my tub of Nutella , grabbed the television remote and started binge-watching the supernaturals. It was a relaxing spree for me, even if the show itself never has any relaxation for the characters.
Suddenly, all the lights went out on the floor. And I meant the floor. As I could see the whole block in front of me was still bright with lights. Looking around, keeping the spoon of the nutella jar as a weapon I looked around in the darkness. Suddenly two hands grabbed me from behind, one putting a cloth against my mouth. I shrieked, all too familiar with being kidnapped, and kicked around , trying to get my captors to set me free.
My leg came in contact with something fleshy, and I had a smug smile on my face as I was set free.
"Ha! You thought you could beat m–" with that being my last words, I became really dizzy and collapsed on the ground.
Huh, the cloth has chloroform in it. So much for being a genius Sofia.
*******
I woke up with my head banging on something hard.
"Ow!" I said, rubbing my forehead , trying to soothe the dull pain.
Soon I reealised I was in some kind of a van or a truck, which was currently on the move. The whirring of the vehicle was slowly driving me insane when finally the car stopped. Sighing slightly, I stood up, rubbing my stiff neck.
"Finally! Wait, who are you?" I asked the orange man. He seemed vaguely familiar but I couldn't put a finger on it.

"You are kidding right? She's kidding. She's kidding." The fake tanned man said to me and then to a person behind me.
Rolling my eyes a bit, I stretched my arms a bit, slowly coming out of the car. I wasn't afraid of this fake tanned man, his face just made me laugh .
"Okay, the jokes done. Where are we? Where did you take me stalker?" I simply asked him.
"Oh. You really don't know me huh. Well, let me introduce myself sweetheart. I'm Justin Hammer, owner of the biggest weapon producer company, and your uncle. "
"You just became the top weapon producer company because my father left, and – wait what?" I said, stopping ny rambling.
This , this fake man can't be my family. His jokes are hilarious to be honest.
"Haha, you got me there. I really thought I was related to you, because no offence but you area bit too orange for my liking. " I said, cringing a bit as I looked straight in his eyes.
I'm not saying I'm tall or anything but this guy is really short.
The man – Justin – sighed, and pinched his nose. " The jokes over Sofia. I am your uncle, from your father's side. Your actually name is Sofia Stark-Hammer. "
"Nopes. I won't believe it until you show me proof. I can't be related to such a show-off. And by the way, have we met before? Oh yes! The Senate in Washington. It was you, wasn't it?" I said, squinting my eyes at him.
"Yes it was me sweetheart. No come on, we have work to do!" He said as he skinned around and started skipping off in front of me.
"Don't call me sweetheart. " I muttered as I followed him, at a normal pace.
*********
"Hey hey hey! Special delivery!" Justin said as he walked up to someone.
I looked around, seeing suits eerily similar to ny Dad's lying around here. When I finally looked at who Justin was talking to , I did a double take.
"You!" I shrieked out, swiftly taking a wrench lying carelessly around and holding it up as a weapon.

The man, the very same man who was whipping cables at my dad not too long ago, and even presumed dead, was standing in front of me, very much alive. He smirked darkly at me, as he started walking down the stairs. I quickly noted that the suits he was working on were not suit suits, but actually drones.
"I brought you something." Justin continued, ignoring my outburst. Suddenly a man came from behind me, and me already being panicky , jumped a little bit as he passed me. Justin removed the cloth from the case and inside it was a beautiful bird.
The started discussing the bird and all the drama that followed as I looked at the drone that the man – Ivan Vanko – was constructing.
How is he live?
Why is he here?
Did Justin fake Ivan's death so he could bring him here? Because the whole world knows he's a convicted criminal, having attacked the iron man.
Then why am I here?
Does he – he wants me to help him make the suits! I can't let that happen!
"I'm not helping you make any suit!" I blurted out to Justin, making him stop the conversation he was having with Ivan.
"Drone better." Ivan said, clearly picking up from where he was still having the conversation with Justin.
"Wh- why drone better? Why is drone better ? Is drone better Sofia?" He asked me. But I didn't give him an answer, jus putting my arms around my chest, cocking an eyebrow at him.
"People make problem. Trust me . Drone better " Ivan said.
"Ivan, I like you. I got you the bird! I'm, you said 'No problem ' that's what you said to me , you said 'No problem'. Now I need suits , the government needs suits. I got you my niece here as well, she can help give you the designs for the suits if you want as well ―"
"I won't help." I stated.
"― that's what the people want. That's what's gonna make them happy." He finished.
Ivan walked up to him, " Hey man. Don't get too attached to things. Learn to let go." He said as he turned around, smirking when he saw my frown.
Justin sighed – seems that is all he can do – and said," these drones better steal the show Ivan. You understand? Rock my world Ivan. "
"You can't steal the show as my Dad's there!" I said as a farewell to the man who said that he was my biological uncle.
Finally feeling the gravity of sitting beside the man who tried to kill ny father not too long ago, I slowly rotated my chair to face his way.
"Welcome little stark. We are going to have so much fun. " He said, as he started climbing back up to the half done drone.
"Don't expect any help from me , you physcopath!" I yelled out, even though I was terrified inside.
******
I was sitting on the chair, still staring at Ivan whenever I could. But honestly, the man scared the sh*t out of me. Suddenly standing up, i started looking around, searching for a phone or something to make contact with either Shield, or Pepper. Dad was on complete lockdown mode, Coulson made sure of it, so I couldn't reach him even if I could.
Glancing back at the guards I started making my way up a room in the corner of the lab, the eery good inside makingne curious. Slowly I reached the door, and opened it,trying to make as little noise as I could. Inside j saw something which widened my eyes tenfold.
Ivan had created a new – better – version of the cables he had used earlier.
Realising that I was in the wrong place I turned around at once , and came face - to - face with the man who invented it.
"Hello little stark. Going somewhere?" That was all I heard before it went dark.
Why does this keep happening to me?

Liana in between Worlds
17 year old Liana is not as surprised as most people would be when she meets Inaya, coming from another world searching for a mysterious danger that could be disastrous for both worlds. She's always seen things others could not see, and she often finds it easier to befriend strange creatures from dreamworlds than her classmates. But now she's involved in a possible plot to eradicate our whole species, which makes her travel through a dead alien city and the oak wood of the Nummerfa who believe that our species are dangerous demons from hell, and other places in several different worlds. All she actually wanted was read her Tolkien book, or sit and watch the stars without being bothered by the existential problems of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. And how is she going to even explain her absence at school? 'Liana in Between Words' is a weird genre-defying mix of portal fantasy and scifi in a tale of friendship, loneliness, and the role of humans in the multiverse. This one contains absolutely no romance and no serious trigger warnings for sex, excessive violence, bad words or heavily traumatising content if you can handle the idea that there are people somewhere who think -maybe not completely without reason- that our species are destructive demons that should be eradicated.
