tepped on the front steps of Gilbert's house. She reached her hand over to knock, but was interrupted by Gilbert swiftly opening the door. She gasped taking a step back, a she was rather surprised by the sudden movement. Gilbert smile dat her, his coat loosely dropped over his shoulder.
"Anastasia, hey! What brings you here?" He asked, stepping outside, tilting his head. She nodded her head, clearing her throat.
"Well, I'm rather bored, I need someone to talk to. I just left from the Cuthberts. So, I decided to come here." Se sighed, snowflakes landing on her nose and eyelashes.
"I was just about to go to town to get some things we needed. Would you like to join me?" He asked, tilting his head and staring at the smaller girl.
"yes, that would be lovely." she glanced at him. He smiled down at her, the Brian eye girl turned and jumped down the steps, her boots hitting the snow.
"It's been a while since we've spent time together." She sighed, pulling at the hem of her dress. He nodded his head, his gaze meeting hers for a few seconds. She blushed a bit, turning her head to stare at the fields.
"It has." He agreed, the snow crunching from underneath their feet. She kept quickly glancing at him, but he didn't seem to notice. But one time, he did. She blinked rather fast, his eyes meeting hers.
Her reached out to grab her cheek, playing with a strand of hair on her face. They stayed like that for a bit, staring each other in the eye. He leaned in rather quickly, his lips lightly pressing against hers.
He pulled away, placing his hands at his sides and strutting away. She attempted to say something, but it only came out in shocked stutters. A light shade of pink washed over her face as she stood alone in the forest. She stared at his back, turning in her heel ands walking in the opposite direction.

reached her house a few moments later. She noticed a carriage outsider her head tilting ever so slightly. She stepped inside, the warmth from the fire hitting her like a brick wall. A man was aitting at the table, his shaggy brunette hair was almost the exact color as hers, a thought crossed her mind, but she ignored it. This could not be her father.
"Anastasia, dear, please sit down." Her mother said, she slowly walked over to her mother, lowering herself into the chair. She raised an eyebrow at the man.
"This is your father." Her other explained. Anastasias breath hitched as she gripped into the tablecloth. Sitting in front of her was the man who was never there for her when she was little.
"What?" She yelled, standing up in shock, "he hasn't been here for years, and yet you allow him to prance in here like her owns the place?"
Her jaw shook, feeling her mothers hand in her shoulder. She felt her face visibly pale, her breathing short and shaky. Her slapped her moms hand away with weak slap. She let her legs carry her to her room, collapsing on her bed. She let ear sadness engulf her, and she had no idea whey she was so bad.

8 50John Robbie, Transdimensional Slacker
John Robbie leads two lives. Most of the time, he is a mage of god-like power with flying horses, vast estates, mountains of gold and the veneration of an entire empire. The rest of the time, unfortunately, he is himself. When he’s not immersed in his favorite RPG video game, Nordic Runes, John is a slovenly, unemployed college drop-out, two years deep into a crippling depression and living with his parents. Having lost all hope for his real life, John spends his time on the couch, controller in hand, trying to forget it. When his two lives miraculously converge, however, John’s only hope for survival lies in overcoming his greatest obstacle - himself. ******* John Robbie, TS is a GameLit, Portal Fantasy with two primary objectives. The first, obviously, is to tell a great story. The second is to show a realistic depiction of depression - both in its impact on the protagonist and what he must do to overcome it. That doesn't mean it's self-help, necessarily, though it will present real therapeutic strategies. It should be noted that the author, in addition to writing humor and fantasy, practices as a clinical psychologist. He also refers to himself in the third person. On special occasions, he uses the royal we. 2-3 chapters per week!
8 124The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.

8 222I am a genius so I don't need a strong cheat to survive
The Human Kingdom of Talkia is at war against the Demon Federation Lorran. In an attempt to gain the upper hand, Talkia decided to use the hero summoning ritual, a magic ceremony that summons soldiers from another world bestowed with the blessing of the god Wion. This time, seven heroes answered the call. "Hello, I am Eun-Ha, Sung Eun-Ha, the incredible genius who got many engineering degrees and a PhD in physics at the young age of twenty-one. Ah? You are wondering why I am surrounded by a creepy group wearing some robes while I am dressed in some over exposing magical girl outfit? Haha, well... I was kidnapped by my friend to a comic convention and then she was surrounded by some ominous light so I just pushed her away and voilà! I am now an amazing hero who is going to kill monsters. Yay!" "Does that kidnapper that calls himself the king really believes that I would obey him?! Let's just put the sweetest smile that I can muster to fool him and then let's escape from this place. I don't care if he says that he knows the way to return to Earth, I am not stupid enought to believe some kidnapper, I am going to find my own way home, I don't care if my cheat is weak compared to the other heroes, as a genius there is no problem that I can't solve!" This story follows the adventures and desventures of Sung Eun-Ha, a genius that has a tendency to do idiotic things without thinking.
